favorite thing about fall [300 word limit]: To Lucas fall is a time for fun to be had, hearing the satisfying crunch of leaves between your paws is such a lovely thing. He loves going out and chopping down some trees for his winter wood stock, picking the last of his freshly grown vegetables to put winter ones in their place, sitting next to the fire with some nice hot coffee with cream the Halloween dream. Sewing new colder clothes from wool that came from his few sheep, time to wear winter pajamas to bed, all of the luxuries Lucas always enjoys around the colder times of year. The sweet smell of freshly baked cookies to warm your belly, the chocolate melting in your mouth, just so heavenly.

favorite thing about fall [300 word limit]: (kalon POV) What's my favorite thing about fall? Well there are many things, it's hard to pick just one. But if I had to pick one, I'd say I love how when the wind blows the leaves sweep through the air like little butterflies chasing each other into the sunset, and I love it when the creatures prance through the red, orange, and yellow wood, playing a game of tag. But most of all, I love sitting on the hillside over-looking the forest to watch the sunrise light up everything in view.

The scent of cinnamon and sugar wafted on the air, filling every nook and cranny of the pleasantly warm cottage as the oven roared away, the flames bright and beautiful. Her paws moved almost automatically, trained from years and years of carefully crafting these sweet treats. The dough twisted and smoothed easily as Ginger readied the pies - apple, pumpkin, whatever kind of fruit that she could get her paws in to fill the handmade shells - and popped them one by one into the oven. Each deep breath made her smile as her body relaxed with the wonderful scents and sights around her, the age-old tradition soothing her even if this was the first year she was alone for it. She'd been well taught, and she'd pass it along to the next generation. One day she'd stand, perhaps in this very kitchen, and show her children exactly the best ways to make the pies taste sweeter with a dash of hard work and caring about your craft. Then she'd help them wrap them up and deliver the goodies to all of the houses around them as a way of showing their thankfulness for having kind neighbors and not being alone in the world as the colorful leaves faded and winter began to barge its way rudely in. Just the way that her mother had taught her, and all of the mothers that had come before.

What was her favorite thing about autumn?
Everything, she could say, and that would be accurate enough. Almost.
There was not a season she loved more than the autumn. It was Fell’s favorite season.
She loved the colors, the vibrant oranges and reds, the fading remnants of summer, the sounds of the wind rattling through the trees, the scents the changes brought with them. To Fell, the weather at that time of year was the most pleasant. It was neither hot more freezing. The air was cool with a promise of the winter that was to come, but it was rarely biting.
In the autumn, she always spent more time outside, in nature. Even if she had no particular task or errand, she would go on long walks whenever she could just to be outside. She would watch the wildlife around her, the birds and the squirrels, and her favorite animals, the foxes. As a photographer, she found the autumn to be the most beautiful season for shooting photographs.
And in the autumn, Fell always felt more at peace. To her, the autumn always symbolized preparation for a new beginning, the death that was vital for life. Nothing could last forever. Everything died, decayed, returned back to the ground. Even the stars died. But it brought Fell hope. Every autumn brought a new beginning.
Her favorite thing about autumn was never the colors, or the weather, or the wildlife, as much as she loved those things. It was always the death and decay, the end.

I have many, mainly the weather, very nice and not way too cold. My other favorite is Halloween, all the scares. I also like that in fall, it's candy corn season, my favorite candy." he says with a happy smile and walks away and says "Happy Fall!"

Juniper settled down in a bunch of brilliant ruby and crisp amber leaves just under a great oak that loomed from above, covering her from the sun peeking behind the cloudy background. As she shut her eyes, she let the faint yet soothing rustle of the leaves and the birds' sweet melodies from above drown out her anxious thoughts. They were instead replaced by serenity and peace. Breath in, breath out. She steadied her breaths and became one with the environment. She needed this.

Her thoughts were a burden. They always nagged her, telling her she wasn't good enough, and often left her in a dark pit filled with dread and sorrow. It was like a shadow that constantly followed her where ever she went, looming in the background with a crooked grin and demolishing any joyful thoughts that appeared. It was hard to control and was relentless, often beating her to defeat. It was hard to escape.

But, she did find a way to free herself from her mind's dark grasp. Autumn brought much more than just a beautiful scenery for Juniper. It brought her a sanctuary where she could escape to and be at ease. No other season satisfied... Winter was much too cold, summers were infernos, and spring, while beautiful, was bothersome to her allergies. Autumn, on the other hand, welcomed her each year with open arms, becoming her guardian and protecting her from her monster.

A soft grin appeared on Juniper's face as she gradually opened her azure eyes up towards the painted sky. She felt an unusual yet familiar feeling churn inside her, one that had remained dormant for what seemed like an eternity... Happiness.
