i am one day planning on reopening this thread and allowing for adoptions to go through again
however, before i reopen it i wish to upload all of the kennels to a TH account to ensure images dont break (some of the broken images have already been saved, thankfully) as well as prevent theft
this will be a very time intensive process to do, and so will not be done until at the very least june-july 2022, given i have important projects and exams this year

do not post any forms for any kennels. if you wish to make a donation/revamp/etc you may do so

hey there! welcome to the new scaa thread!
this thread aims to give new homes to characters! all free, of course, but these involve form competitions!
this thread was founded by Wesley on june 3rd 2011 [before I even joined CS!]. Wesley gave me the ownership of this thread in 2018, after being too busy to run it!
I'm happy to run this thread, but due to health issues I haven't been able to set it up - until now that is >:3c

please do take a look around and see if there are any characters that catch your eye! who knows - soon you might be adding new characters to your collection!

• do not spam this thread [which includes one word posts, complaining, etc]
• refrain from arguments by respecting staff and other users
• bribes will not be accepted
• refrain from mini-modding if you are not thread staff

ａｄｏｐｔｉｏｎ ｒｕｌｅｓ

• any character adopted from the SCAA or the new homes project cannot be sold for money, virtual currencies, cs pets or anything else. if you no longer want them donate them back here or to another adoption place
• ask permission before giving any characters adopted here for free
• ask permission to trade adopted characters from here for other characters and designs ONLY. you must pass on the rules that the new owner is not allowed to sell the character. please be sure to check the kennel's preferences as some donors may not want their characters traded
• do not post an empty form for the sake of reserving - there should be a name, kennel number, image or anything else that can identify the character
• do not post forms for two or more different characters in the same post. the exception to this is a joint form/story
• you may only apply up to FOUR (4) characters per round, but may adopt unlimited characters altogether!
• you may order art of the character that you are applying for. this doesn't necessarily help your chances
• please keep in line with the donor preferences. make sure to read them before submitting your form
• avoid posting very short forms - we look for character development!
• if you wish to take back a character because you are still attached to them/want them back then:
  
  • if other users are trying for them: you must fill out the form for the character and apply like anyone else
  • if no one is trying out for them: you must wait for the next code drop to take it back, just in case someone takes interest at the end of the round
  • if they are still in the filler preparations: simply PM me and they'll be removed!
• editing after the round closes will result in your form being disqualified for that round. if you have, for example, forgotten to add a piece of art for your form, simply PM me to explain the situation [and link the art] and I will keep it in mind when judging c:

• do not donate designs that lack in quality, character maker-made designs without extra references, or characters with headshot references.
• the reference should, overall, be reasonably clear so users can make out the design
• only donate designs that you own
• only donate designs that you are allowed to donate

• please look at the donor's preferences to see if they would mind the design being revamped
• please keep in mind some donor's will not want designs changed or on different species
• if you wish to revamp a design that is part of a species, I would recommend that you PM the species owner first

• what is a code drop?
  
  a code drop is a date at which judges will look over forms to decide whether the applicants get the character! at the scaa, we encourage developed, well thought out forms! we value quality over quantity - we love to see developed characters! this is not fcfs
• what is a revamp, and who can do them?
  
  a revamp is a new image that brings much needed love to a character in these kennels! revamps can simply be a change of lineart, but may be changes of designs or species! anyone can do a revamp. please make sure to keep in mind the donor's preferences to see whether they would mind if the species or design is changed.
• my donation isn't in the kennels!
