Kalon name: Ace
Kalon gender: Male
Prompt:
Ever since Ace was little, cryptids were his everything. There was nothing more intriguing than the possibility of these.. monsters existing. And so, he grew up, and year after year his infatuation grew. His room's walls were eventually plastered with newspaper clippings, and binoculars hung from every available surface. Flashlights littered the floor, and books sat on poorly-attached shelves which seemed to be inches away from falling at any given time. One reason for this obsession: Ace grew up in the woods. When he was little, he and his siblings would all go explore the forest and play games. The woods were definitely a.. strange place. Not exactly horrifying and dangerous, but more solitary and ominous. Light didn't filter through the branches, casting dapples of the sun across a mossy floor. Rather, any light was blocked by sickly green leaves and the floor consisted of decay and debris. Deer didn't poke their heads out from berry bushes, rather bobcats and possums hid in the trees. However, this didn't bother Ace nor his siblings, though when the sun went down, they hurried inside. Nobody wanted to be outside at night with the smell of death and the rustling in the trees.
And so, Ace stood in front of the mirror, eyes bright and wide as he surveyed his costume. He looked awesome. He was draped in black cloth which covered most of him except his tail and his face. However, he had a solution for the latter. Reaching over to grab his mask, he pulled it over his head, grunting in discomfort as his ears folded until they popped through holes in the cloth. He then turned, his vision tinted red. This was due to the fact his mask had two bright red dots where his eyes were, big and round and creepy. He could still see though, so it seemed he wouldn't be tumbling into anyone tonight. He posed in the mirror, a big grin causing a funky fold in the mask as he continued to observe his costume. With a huff, he plopped down and found himself pondering on future pranks, a mischievous grin on his face as he imagined hiding in trees and scaring his siblings. This Halloween would most definitely be the best.
