His beginnings were not easy- though he tried his bes to hide it, and lived always with a smile when he could, his "perfect little family" was anything but. His parents hated each other, only pretending to be connected for his sake, though they hardly would even acknowledge him. Of course, he wouldn't let this alone bring him down, and lived as best he could... but he still has nightmares when he is alone in the dark, afraid of who is simply pretending.
As he grew, he didn't quite conform the way he was "supposed to." He had always been feminine presenting, as that was how Kai was most comfortable... yet he realized that in this society, he seemed to be ostracized, losing friends simply because he didn't look as the "traditional man" did. At first, he tried to conform... but he quickly gave up on this, embracing himself. He accepted his image, and began to rebel against the society which pushed him into being someone he was not.
Eventually, it became a lot for Kai, and his rebellious nature became too much to contain within the laws. He became a hired hand, be it for spying, investigation, or hacking... whoever paid well, and had a cause he agreed with, he would join them. Like the song, he is somewhat chaotic in nature, although he does what he believes is right. He is incredibly powerful as well.

personality || Darius is still your average, rebellious male adolescent attempting to find his way in life. He's one of those guys that really wants to create a band and play musical instruments but doesn't have the effort to actually do it. He spends the majority of his time inside, practicing his performance on the drums. He's very feisty and doesn't like losing a fight, but can also be sweet and tender when the situation calls for it. He's quite stubborn and will fight you if you tell him his style of music sucks.

He's really into metal, too. Bands specifically like Bullet for my Valentine, Slipknot, and Rise Against are only some of his absolute favorites. He likes some heavy metal but doesn't enjoy bands which use a lot of screaming. He especially loves headbanging to some good music, though. You can definitely find this dude in the pit.

(1) Bullet for my Valentine - Your Betrayal. He absolutely adores the guitar and drums in this song. The lyrics also hit hard with him, reminding him of an individual who, well, betrayed him. The song itself is old, but he never gets sick of listening to it over and over again. As a young angsty teen though honestly, who can't relate to this song?

(2) Slipknot - The Devil In I. Honestly, what a jam. Darius loves to headbang to this song. Again, the drums, guitar, and vocals really hit him hard. He really relates to this song, as he basically views himself as the 'devil'. He loves using that nickname and asks all his friends to call him the devil. He likes to think that nobody owns him, and he has control over everyone and everything. He likes to think that he does a lot of 'devilish-deeds', too.

(3) Rise Against - Satellite. Another great song for Darius. He listens to this song if he needs to cheer up or pump himself up. It gives him a lot of confidence in himself. Especially these lyrics:

"We'll sneak out when they sleep
And sail off in the night
We'll come clean and start over the rest of our lives
When we're gone we'll stay gone
Out of sight, out of mind
It's not too late
We have the rest of our lives"

He basically sang those lyrics to a girl he really liked. Though admittedly he's had a lot of girlfriends in the past -- none of them have wanted to run away with him. A sad song for a sad boy. He can't sing very well, though, so that may affect their thoughts, too.

(4) My Chemical Romance - Helena. If he could sing this song to every single one of his Ex's, he would. I mean, you can't fully be an emo/dark /metal guy without throwing My Chemical Romance in the mix. This band was basically the stepping stone into his interest for music and more specifically, heavier metal.

(5) Bullet For My Valentine - All These Things I Hate. Another song he'd sing to his ex's, or just everyone in general. These lyrics are very edgy. I mean, "Just back off before I snap"? Yeah. Lookout for the edgelord over here. Though honestly, he really does relate to this song a lot.

(6) BAD OMENS - The Worst In Me. Another song that's kind-of directed towards his Ex's. A lot of these songs that he's really into are more directed towards broken relationships. I think this song kind-of speaks for itself, though. "Bring out the worst in me", especially. He loves this idea of being evil or bad.

(7) Terror Universal - Into darkness. Yet another very relationship-based, dark song. He really loves the instrumentals in this song and the vocals. He's always wanted to sing this song, though again, he can't sing very well. He really loves songs that mention anything like, "See me for the monster I've become". Monster or devil-like personas.

Marielle is a ball of pure fire - as much sarcasm as someone can handle, always ready for an argument, never afraid of anything. In fact, many have described her as an "almost stupid level of fearless". She says what she wants, and never says anything that she doesn't mean (leaving some to dislike her for being too blunt and straightforward). Everything she's interested in gets fixated upon and her personal one hundred percent. She's got plenty of energy to match her fire, and never seems to stop moving - even when she's speaking she's bouncing a little in place or making grand motions to explain. Sometimes she finds it hard to get along with other Kalons, something she personally attributes to her overflowing levels of confidence. Her bravado has gotten her into a lot of tight situations, but somehow she's been lucky enough to walk away from each one unscathed. She loves games of skill and puzzles, anything that makes her work her brain, and has an intense disliking for physical labor and things of the like. She also tends to complain a lot and get somewhat childish when she's tired or uncomfortable.

Champion - It's Marielle's personal pump up song and what some would describe as her theme song.
Lonely Hearts Club - She listens to this after a crush gone wrong (her harsh nature can drive away a lot of potential suitors) and feels it describes her love life.
Selfish - A song to listen to while she's relaxing, it really suits Marielle's personality.
Brave - Marielle sends this to her less outgoing friends to encourage them!
Human - For when she's down in the dumps and wants to listen to sad music.
Magic - An upbeat song that Marielle loves to dance around to like a crazy person, preferably in her own room.
Believer - Another pump up song for when Marielle really needs to get something done or just wants to feel especially confident.
Rockabye - This song got stuck in Marielle's head and has stayed in her favorites, even though she couldn't tell you exactly what she likes about it. If one had to guess, it reminds her of her own mother.

Deep breath, in, and out. Marielle tried to keep her breathing in time with her paws thudding against the packed dirt, the somewhat downtrodden trail leading her deeper and deeper into the meadow. She ran quickly, but not as fast as she could go. This wasn't about winning a race, this was about stamina. This was about having the strength and power to back up her personality - and while she couldn't drag herself to work out in one of those sterile, shiny new gyms, surrounded by other kalon's prying eyes, something about nature let her do it easily.

Maybe it was the gentle bubbling of the brook that ran parallel to the path, almost drowning out her soft panting as she jogged. Or the birds singing high above, or the sun filtering slightly through the trees as their leaves blocked out enough warmth to keep her from getting sweaty and gross.

Despite the path's obvious worn nature, grass turned to hard-packed dirt over what was probably years and years of paws tromping it down, she'd never seen another kalon out here. Part of her wanted to question it, but she was too grateful about her secret exercising space to wonder too much about what was keeping others away. The bugs, maybe? Or maybe they really did prefer the gyms to running out here. Maybe they thought it was dangerous or something, a though that had never really passed through Marielle's mind if she was honest with herself. Isolated, yes, but dangerous? She really didn't think so.

After all, she had her cellphone in a pack around her waist, and even when she put her earbuds in to let some perky music keep her going, she was careful not to turn it up too loud. Just soft enough that she could hear anyone who tried to get close to her. But no one ever did. It was always just the birds, bugs, and the voices of whatever type of music she'd decided to go with on that particular morning.

She always picked mornings to do this. The air was crisper, cooler, and she loved the sweet breezes. There was something exciting about most of the world being asleep while she was wide awake, waking up her body with a jog.

Gently, Marielle pulled her mind from her musings and gently tucked an earbud into her left ear, leaving her right open to listen to the world around her. Glancing at the screen on her mp3 player (she knew it was a bit outdated, but she loved the charm of it) she flicked through the familiar list until she found the song she wanted - Believer, one she loved and always filled her with a bit of fire and energy - and flicked it on. The music rumbled to life in her ear, and she smirked as she took off into the woods.

Baby you're Like Lightning
in a Bottle

Lele loves to dance and sing, whether it's in the confines of her bedroom or on the stage of one of her charity shows. She loves to do acoustic covers of hard rock songs, but also writes her own music in her spare time. She mainly plays the guitar, though she sometimes plays the keyboard when she's in the mood.

In public, she's the kind of girl who wants to be loud and seen. It’s likely that while out in public with her you will be embarrassed to no ends. If a song comes on that she enjoys, there’s a 100% chance she will belt out singing it or start dancing while she walks around. She will ALWAYS let you know what’s on her mind, no matter the consequences. She's very passionate about a lot of things and won't hesitate to call you out on something. Her friends will often get annoyed when she picks fights with people, but she just always has to have the last word.

She doesn't like to argue, but she does like to get her point across, and often doesn't know how to quit while she's ahead. She can hold grudges over the smallest things and isn't very forgiving if you do something she doesn't like.

She tends to go through a lot of people in her life. She doesn't like to surround herself with anything negative and will push people away for small things. She gets careless around new people, and is very often too trusting. Lots of the time she will find herself in bad or interesting situations because she goes along with whatever seems fun, regardless of what could happen.

While she has her bad sides - as everyone does - she can be very selfless and cares a lot about animals and the environment. She holds charity concerts often in order to raise money for all sorts of organizations. Most of her spare time goes to volunteering at her local animal shelters or playing music along busy streets to make a few extra bucks. She has a love for all animals, and currently has 2 fur-babies, and is hoping to adopt more in the future.

If she had to describe herself in one word, it would be "Lele" because she only ever wants to be herself and not be held back by labels.

• This song brings her out of her funk with the upbeat music, and makes her just wanna hop up and start dancing around the room while screaming the lyrics at the top of her lungs.

• This is her favorite song to lose herself to, just dance around on full blast and let the music guide her movements.

MIKA- We Are Golden
• One of her favorite songs to put on when she gets ready in the morning. Just picture her with her hairbrush, dancing around singing into it as she gets herself ready for the day.

BØRNS - Electric Love
• The lyrics in this song are extremely catchy she always finds this song getting stuck in her head. She loves playing this song on her guitar, Acoustic style. It's kind of her Theme song. It also reminds her of a certain Pink, determined girl whom she has the feels for. (Fawnpi's Bonnibel)

•She relates to this song a little too well, and is her go to when memories of the past are brought up in her mind.
It helps her put an explanation to her bad feelings and reminds her its not just her that goes through heartbreak.

• This is one of her favorite songs to just lie and listen to and really take in. She loves the beat and the lyrics really speak to her on a personal level.

Marianas Trench- Who do You Love
• This song reminds her of a certain someone from her past and every time she hears it she just lies and cries to herself. Sometimes its good to get the feelings out, and putting this song on is the best way for her to do it.
