These Hippocampi are not what we once thought they were. They are not bred by humans. They actually were created from Poseidon. Poseidon created two Hippocampi, a Mare and a Stallion, who were immortal. These were Ardus and Nymphe. They became the first Hippocampi. Hippocampi are measured in metres, from the tip of their tail to their nose. They are mostly bred with horses, so they have more natural coat colours. They can sometimes be over 20 metres long.
