Saikits are a pet much like you typical house cat in size,
With dumbo ears and big fluff tuffs above their ears.
They are normally pretty cuddly and friendly and rarely, if ever, bite.
Funny creatures that sometimes walk on their hind legs.

Sometimes you will come across a Feral Saikits,
Bit meaner then a pet Saikit and often have claws.

You may meet a Pet Saikit with claws,
these Saikits were a once Feral Saikit but have been tamed or
You might meet a Feral Saikit without claws,
these Saikits were a once Pet Saikit that went Feral.

Prompt: Jamie, a lone saikit who often wanders the city, ended up in a bit of a scuffle with a feral group of loners in the city. He was promised he'd be left alone if he gave them something in return, which they only said because their leader was confident that he would have nothing of value to give to them. Jamie ended up having one of his bright-but-not-so-bright ideas; he claimed that his tag, which was golden just like his collar, was made of real gold. The leader and his posse, not quite intelligent enough to check before taking his word for it, happily accepted the tag in exchange for Jamie's freedom from having to deal with them again, but Jamie knew it was only a matter of time before the loners found out the "golden" tag was a fake and they'd come after him. To avoid becoming fresh meat for a bunch of feral saikits, he fled the city and is now a traveling saikit just looking for a place to settle-- away from crazy ferals and away from humans who want to strip away his liberty.

Believe it or not, however, Jamie has had other tags before. He got one when he was born to indicate that he belonged to a certain family of humans, then when he ran away he tore it off himself as almost a symbolic way of declaring his freedom. There have been several close-calls where humans have tried to take him in as their own, and since he wore no tag they assumed he was not owned by anyone, so Jamie let a human scoop him up off the street just so they'll give him a new tag (the golden one he ended up giving to the ferals) then ran away with the tag still on. He did this so that humans who saw him wandering around wouldn't try to take him and would simply assume he belonged to someone and was on a little stroll. This latest tag, of course, was given away, so now Jamie is without a tag yet again.

freya was once a loyal saikit and a regular non-feral. she was a part of the town's small group of pet saikits that would meet during the night and discuss how their lives where going. one day something felt off to her about the town which that feeling led her to a scent that she followed into the town's forest where she met a feral saikit. he had told her how amazing being free was, being able to sleep under the stars, chase birds, catch prey and explore whenever. she was intrigued by what the feral was saying so for a month she decided to stay away from the town and stay in the forest and see how amazing the free life was. when she returned, the saikits in the town's group said she was a shameful member of the community and tried to tear her collar, instead they managed to pull off her collar tag. having no where else to go she decided to stay permanently in the forest, over a short time developing claws but keeping her collar as a prize for everything she went through.

One day, as she was laying in an alleyway, scratched up from an encounter with some alley cats, a human approached her with a soft, sympathetic smile. Though Auburn didn’t trust humans usually, she knew she needed help, and allowed the human to pick her up gently and take her home. Over time, the two bonded. The human took care of her; bathing her, feeding her, giving her lots of loves and pets, and the once cold-hearted, starving, hurt Saikit grew to love her human. Her heart grew warmer, and eventually the two were inseparable best friends. Though she still retains a sassy personality from time to time, her human still loves her more than anything.
