Seraphy sat alone on one of the benches outside of the castle. Her hands were shaking and she couldn't get her heart to stop racing no matter how many slow and "calming" breaths that she took. Seraphy looked around to see if there was a well of some kind nearby that she could get something to drink since she had forgotten her cup back at home. It was typical of her to leave at least something behind when she left the house, she was just hoping that she hadn't left anything else back at her small house just outside the main town surrounding the castle. Seeing no water source on this side of the castle Seraphy decided instead to sit and count all of the birds that were flying in and out of the garden that she was sitting in, in an attempt to try and calm her nerves at least a little bit. No matter how many times she counted the birds however she just couldn't get calm enough to settle herself down and make her heart stop beating a mile a minute. Oh how she wished she knew at least one of the other viscets that were walking by her just so she didn't feel so alone in this place. Seraphy grabbed her bag that was sitting next to her on the bench and clutched it tightly to her chest. Oh what was she doing her, she was not good enough to be at the palace performing her art before royals. Seraphy began to get up from the bench to leave, she just couldn't sit here and do this. Their is no way that a royal would want her to do art for them, she just wasn't good enough, she doesn't know who gave them her name but now she is regretting that someone tried to help her out.
Before Seraphy could jump up and run off that she wanted to a delicate looking viscet walked up to her and bowed. " Hello miss, I am one of the servants here at the castle and I am here to escort you to see the princess." Seraphy tried to make words but couldn't so she just nodded and followed the servant into the castle through the long corridors that seemed like a never ending maze, she could not image being able to find her way back to the entrance on her own no matter how hard she tried. She also just kept thinking about how the servant how bowed to her, no one had ever showed her that type of respect before. She was not someone important she just couldn't see how this servant thought that she was higher than him. She easily could be in his shoes right now if she had not found buyers for some of her art and her doing drawings for rich viscets in the kingdom.

Seraphy followed the servant to a grand looking door adorned with vines, flowers and animals. She looked at the doors intricate detail in awe, she could not even match the craftsmanship of the door how was she going to create art for this princess. She clearly had an eye for detail and beauty, Seraphy just hoped that she did not anger or insult the princess if she did not meet her standards. The servant knocked on the beautiful door and stood waiting for a response. It felt like it took a small eternity for a gentle voice travel through the door asking who was there. The servant responded for Seraphy " Sorry to disturb you princess but the artist that you had requested has arrived." The same delicate voice responded with a happy sequel, and told the servant to let Seraphy in. The servant looked down at Seraphy and nodded " Okay the princess will see you now, do you want me to announce you?" Seraphy looked at him in surprise, announce her, she never would have thought that someone would want to "announce" her presence to a royal. Seraphy just shook her head " No thank you I can introduce myself, but thank you for showing me the way". The servant bowed to Seraphy again but this time with a smile " It was my pleasure" With that he opened the door for her and allowed her entry to the Princesses room.
Seraphy stepped into the princesses room and heard the door close behind her. She looked back at the close door with anxiety, well she was in for it now and there was no way she could run from this interaction no matter how much she didn't want to go see the princess. She turned back around and smiled at the princess that was sitting by the window. The princess motioned for her to sit in a chair near her. Once seated the princess smiled brightly at Seraphy “ I have continued to see your work all over the kingdom amongst my friends and I was hoping that you could draw for me right now, something beautiful and lovely, just so I can see for myself if what I have heard is true about you.” Seraphy looked at the princess in surprise “ I am surprised princess that you have heard about my work and like it enough to ask me here to create something for you. I hope I create something you will like.” The princess left her to work in the room alone. Seraphy took out all of her materials and got to work creating an art piece that she hoped the princess would enjoy and hopefully, not embarrass herself.
After some time passed the princess slowly opened the intricate door and entered the room. The princess took her seat next to the window seat to see what Serpahy had created, she held out her hand to Seraphy. Seraphy shook her head “ It’s not done yet, I want you to see my work at its finest, it is not completely finished yet, I still have some color that I need to put onto this canvas still.” The princess smiled “ No, let me see it. If you are as great an artist as I have heard then even if it is not finished I will still like it.” With breath held and her heart about to explode from her chest she handed her creation to the princess. The princess took in a sharp breath breath and looked at the picture in awe. She looked at Seraphy with amazement “ Just as I thought you are one who possess the magic to make art come to life and give it a soul. You also have the ability to see the soul of the person you are performing art for.” The art was of the princess performing her own magic, she has the nature magic, which means she is able to grow and control the plants around her. No one besides her family and very close friends knew what the princesses power was. Everyone knew that all of the royals have powers but the public are only aware of what the king and queens powers are, not the rest of the family for their protection.

Seraphy looked at her stunned and wasn’t sure what to say. No one had noticed that she had a power and because of this she was usually overlooked or looked down upon. She just stared at the princess her mouth partially open, unblinking and un moving. The princess laughed at Seraphys reaction “I did not think that you were going to react like this as I thought many people knew your ability but once I saw the way you entered and how you talked to me that you had no idea the magnitude of your power and how important I find it.” The princess stood up from her seat and looked down at Seraphy with a serious look “ I had to make sure that you were who you said you were and what people had told me was correct. That is why I wanted you to make something for me, but now I see I was correct it was only that you were unaware of your worth that made you seem different.” Seraphy bowed her head in thanks to the princess. “ I thank you greatly my princess, You are the first and only person to say these amazing things to me and it has been amazing to see that someone of your importance sees this in me.” The princess waved away Seraphys thanks “ I was hoping that you would be willing to be my permanent and only drawing artist. You bring things to life and give them a soul in a way that no one is able to do. This gift is so rare that it is said that only the gods and a few others are known to have possessed it. I have met no other artist like you and I want to have you around to create your art without any restraints and to have the ability to share your art with everyone no matter who they are. The art you make is worth more than money and I want everyone to experience what you do”. Seraphy jumped up from her chair and laughed, happy tears falling from her face. She knelt down in front of the princess and smiled wide “ Thank you so much for giving me this, you have no idea how much this means to me. It has been my greatest dream to give all, the chance to experience art and enjoy it just as much as I do.” Without even thinking about it she jumped back up and hugged the princess tight. After a second she realized what she was doing and froze then tried to pull away from the princess but was pulled back into the hug by the princess. Both of the girls started to laugh and continued to hug one another. Seraphy had done it, she did what her parents had told her to do, to not dwell on dreaming her dreams but to go out and live her life and experience life until her dream found her. She looked directly at the princess as she stepped back from her “ I will get to work right away.”

Living in the castle of the royal family of the kingdom Komorebi had been a whirlwind of excitement and amazing experiences. She had loved every minute of this new life, she hoped that she would be able to do this for basically ever. Seraphy sat down on her window seat in her room that was given to her in the castle and sighed, she had just finished another long day of working with viscets on art and working on her many commissions that she had received. She had been enjoying doing art everyday but the amount of commissions that were now coming in were overwhelming and she just couldn’t do them all. She groaned, how was she supposed to keep up with all of this work and keep herself sane. Seraphy pressed her head to the window, she felt so stressed and tired. She just needed a break from everything.
Seraphy tried to figure out how to finish all of the art that others were depending on her for when she heard a knock at her door. She walked up to the still undercoated door and answered it. When Seraphy opened the door to the princess. Seraphy tried her best to give her a bright smile and invited her into her room. She sat back in her spot by the window and slumped down. The princess grabbed a chair and sat down. Her face was full of concern. " Are you okay Seraphy? You are worrying me." Seraphy smiled weakly "I will be fine I am just tired from all of the work I have been doing and I haven't had a chance to decorate yet so I am just tired and a bit frustrated."
The princess shook her head " You need a break. I never expected you to go full time, everyone, even myself need a break and time to relax." Seraphy shook her head " I don't know I worry that I will let everyone down and that they will get upset with me." The princess took Seraphys paws into her own " Always put yourself first and never strain yourself on trying to please everyone. Take your time and do what you can, no one can get mad at you for you doing your best and you taking time for yourself. Nothing is wrong with taking a break and if anyone gets mad at you for that, then you need to remember that they are not someone to worry about. Just do what you need to, plus if things get hard remember you have friends like me to help you out with everything." The princess hugged Seraphy and left her to her own thoughts. Seraphy sighed. It would be hard for her to walk away from her work but the princess was right, she needed a break and a chance to do things that wanted to do.
