When he was younger, Huxley had trouble sleeping during the worst nights. When the wind rattled the wooden roofs and made the houses shake, with our without rain. He feared the wind would take him up to the clouds, and that he would never come back.
Tears always threatened to spill out, but he told himself he would never cry, no matter how bad he felt. It made his mother too sad.

He wished those days were few, but it seemed that his town only knew about rain and wind, at least for as long as he had been alive. Summers used to be sunny, his mother told him, filled with bright lights and a burning heat. Flowers would sway softly during spring, just like leaves in autumn. And on winter, the snow would settle down on everything.

But years ago, the wind took everything away. Clouds constantly rolled in, covering up the sun rays. Flowers and grass were ripped from the ground, straight from their roots. Trees were stripped off leaves even if it wasn't fall yet. And snow would fly off in violent blizzards, never staying put. And Huxley never had seen otherwise.

Every now and then, pieces of buildings and animals would be taken off by a strong gust. The townsfolk had long ago given up setting up flags and wooden signs to warn about the weather.

Some even left. And some came back, telling stories of wonderful seasons just a few miles away.

And as Huxley got older, he wanted to see them too.
Image
He took the job of delivering a letter to another town as soon as he was old enough to be trusted with a horse. People around there knew him as helpful, and his mother didn't object much to him leaving. It would be a week-long trip, at most.

According to the month, it should've been spring. Huxley intented to bring colorful flowers back with him.

As the young black horse -which he named Rusted- he rode trotted away from town, he shot one glance back. To grey skies and swaying trees behind.
Image
The storm was very spread out. He saw no sun on the other town. Only worried looks to the sky, which had remained as streaked and grey as it was back at his home.

There, too, the winds reigned. He saw flowers fly up in the air, dust from the road picking up. However, it wasn't as strong. Just as it was barely starting up.

Huxley decided to go back immediately after finishing his work, holding dearly onto some flowers he could save. No use in staying in during a bad season.

That was plentiful at home.
Image
His mother arranged the flowers as she told him about the wonderful days there had been.

Appearently the storm had moved on while he was gone, allowing plants to bloom for a short while. Huxley told her that he knew, he had seen it over in the other town. Though, judging by the again grey skies, the storm was coming back.

He had just missed it.
Image
Every time he went to another town, it followed him.

Winds and clouds tailed behind him and his horse, howling no matter where he was.

And they were back at hoke with him, over and over.

His mother kept saying he just unlucky to be missing the good seasons. His father avoided looking at him, and never mentioned anything about it.

But others sent him far away. They would call him when they needed someone to make a long journey. Weeks or months at the time. They never asked for small favors anymore, nor short trips. Sometimes just so he could get go riding on Rusted, a black horse as old as him, the only equine in town that didn't seem to mind the winds at all. And they would go on through miles and miles, grinning while facing the wind. At times even whistling or singing, the wind dragging on the sounds as if it was its only purpose. As if it was made for him.

And he refused to think about it. He would just enjoy the breeze.

Never spilling tears while alone. Not even when he knew his mother wouldn't knew about it.
Image
His mother loved flowers. He had heard from her that his father had asked her out amongst a storm of flowers in a windy spring, Huxley always thought that was a weird way of describing it, but understood why she liked them. Perhaps he'd like that too, as he had started taking some comfort in the breezes as he grew up.

One day, he wanted his mother to see flowers again. All the colors and scents she talked about for hours and hours. He wanted her to smile at them under bright sunlight, for her to be not sad.

And that very afternoon, the townsfolk saw as a whistling rider taking the wind with him.

Leaving to never to come back.

Lord Harrison Willis; Cousin of the late King Chandler Orsak.
male

- Harrison has an extremely kind soul. He tends to put others before him, caring less about himself and more about helping those around him. He can seem big and scary at first sight, being the face of the royal guard, but if anyone got to know him that perception would quickly disappear. Harry has a strong sense of duty, he’ll fight to the death for his kingdom, Emivern, throwing himself into harm’s way if it meant the country was in danger. He’s known to argue for the causes he believes in. He’s gotten in trouble quite a few times for speaking out of line, shooting words at nobles who put themselves above the kingdom and their own queen.
Harry is known to take in orphans and Kalons fleeing from the warfare in other countries. He becomes a family to them, training them to become guards for Emivern. It’s impossible for Harry to go anywhere and not get recognition as some sort of hero. He’s very popular and definitely one of the more likeable nobles at court. He treats everyone with dignity and equality, regardless of their social standing.

"Your Majesty!" I called after the young queen in a loud whisper. It was the middle of the night, and the lords and ladies of court were fast asleep. Still, Emivern's reckless queen- my niece- decided it was a good time for an adventure. I watched her white hair disappear around the corridor. I was the captain of the royal guard, in charge of keeping security up within the castle. I'd become sort of a fatherly figure to Reign since the death of her parents. She's been surrounded by noblemen and women trying to manipulate her in order to gain power within the kingdom. Reign didn't have anyone to trust. At sixteen, she was far too young to grow up just yet. I wanted to protect her as well as I could. I owed it to her, I owed it to her parents. May their souls rest in peace. I was close with the king and the queen. They'd allow me to pursue my role in the royal guard despite my high-standing title. Guardswork was not for nobles. But the comradery and trust and friendship between my soldiers was something I couldn't find anywhere else. I felt safe in the barracks, surrounded by those who looked up to me, not because I had a title they were forced to follow, but because i'd earned my place within them. I was their superior, yes, but yet I was treated as an equal. And that meant the world to me.

"I want to see the army men!" Reign demanded down the hallway. "Harry, take me to them!" For an insomniac, this little girl had energy. I jogged to catch up to her, and together we entered the courtyard. Just a little farther down the path were the barracks, which housed my soldiers. I was in charge of about thirty guards. As we entered the barracks, the mess hall was a million times more alive than the rest of court. The royal guard were sitting at tables drinking, having fun, celebrating the end of a hard week. All of them rose in hoots and hollars as I entered the room. One of my men stood and shouted "Captain's home, boys!" Reign giggled beside me and at once the room fell silent. all thirty men scrambled to form a straight line and bow for the queen. A chorus of "Your Majesty" rang throughout the space. I couldn't help but grin- it was funny how big of goofballs my men were two minutes ago, and how quickly they straightened out at the sight of their child ruler. I'd taught them well. "Her Majesty wanted to visit us all tonight! We welcome her with open arms." Reign, without my knowledge had grabbed a sword from a nearby table. Pointing it at me, she gave me a toothy grin. "I bet i can take you on, old man!" She announced, and the barracks erupted into laughter. I unsheathed my own sword and chuckled, "Bring it on, kid"

{ Background }
Lucile slumped into the office, already geared up for the day. The black Kevlar vest tightly gripping against his shirt. Armed with cuffs, gun, taser, and baton, Lucile was ready. The one bad thing about his new attire for work is that it made him feel like such a traitor. Straight betrayal. What most people don’t know is that this uniform was the only thing keeping Lucile from behind bars.

As he was growing up, Lucile had developed a knack for technology. This knack was what had started all this drama. After realizing that he was a pretty fast learner when it came to computers, Lucile took the time out to learn how to hack. Unfortunately for him, he got too good at it. He took up hacking and various quote on quote “criminal activities”. It came down the wire that he even accepted the recruitment from the Police Department, or accept that he had been caught and face his time in jail.

And this is where we come to today. “Hey, Lucky,” one of his fellow coworkers hollered sarcastically as he walked in. No matter how much he hated the nickname, he hated the thought of prison more. At least the name had come from a decent background. Many of the cops acquired using the nickname since somehow Lucile managed to bring in at least three fugitives a week. I mean, that is his job as a bounty hunter. But none of the others seemed to believe it was skill, and that all his tracking was simply Luck, hence Lucky.
