Theme: Dragonborn PERSONALITY:
Cruel, deceitful and downright chaotic, Alduin is not a pleasant Kiruan to know. His sadistic nature and cruel intentions leads him to make the life of others a living pain, be that the other horses close to him, or the humans unfortunate to know him. Be it cruel jokes, nasty physical torment or harsh words, it seems that Alduin has made making others miserable his only hobby,
STORY:
Thunder rolled in the sky above as the Kiruan mare fell to her knees, ears pinned as intense pain ripped through her. She had tried desperately to find a shelter, somewhere safer to birth and out of the rain, but the foal obviously had other plans. The mud greeted her sides as she collapsed, eyes rolling in her head as her own body plagued her with pain.
Thunder continued to roar above her, and a crack of lightning split the sky in two as she pushed one final time, a moment that should have been joyous, full of love. Instead, a dread gripped her - her mother had always said that foals born in the midst of a thunderstorm were bad luck. She had always brushed it off as superstition, but, as she raised her head, her heart sank. A marking crossed her son's flanks, an omen of ill luck - a horned dragon. Pinning her ears, trying to dispel these thoughts, she stood, rising at the same time as her son. He was strong for a newborn, and, as he prodded at her thigh, eager to feed, she swallowed her worry. This would be fine - this was normal, healthy behaviour for a colt... Right?
As he grew, his mother knew that her son was beyond normal. He used his weight to push around other foals, excluding the colts from any form of communication, and, after an 'accident' that took the life of one of the smallest fillies in the herd, Alduin was chased by the band's stallions, his own father among them
He's been alone ever since, wreaking havoc on whatever herds he can find himself. Death, destruction and violence have followed him his whole life - and he happily allows them to keep him company.
LIKES:
Thunderstorms, scorching hot days, heights, solitude, fire.
DISLIKES:
Drizzly rain, overbearing companions, large bodies of water, snakes.

Owner: Lokisaurus
Show Name: BdlM A Dance With Dragons
Barn Name: Danny
Gender: Stallion
Age: seven years
Horse Stats
Breed: Khimaira Kiruan, purebred
Body Condition: Moderately Fleshy
Stamina: Outstanding
Speed: Moderate
The prized stallion of the show barn "Bailaraines de la Montaña," Danny is often shown off to be the best and brightest the barn can offer. Once used as a dressage horse, Danny has since retired to be a stud due to his popular and irregular markings. There are those who have paid extravagant sums of money for the chance of gaining a foal in Danny's lineage, though many have walked away with nothing when the breeding didn't take.
Danny's handlers swear up and down that there is nothing wrong with Danny's viability, but of course they would say that. Who would pay to breed their mare to an infertile stallion?
Likes +
+ Sweet foods. Handlers often sneak him peaches and Twinkies and extra marshmallows when his owners are not paying attention.
+ Playing with strong mares. Stallions usually push him away and turn and bite him when he continues to nudge them. Smaller mares get scared and zip away from him. The stronger mares will usually stay and run and romp if he's extra polite.
+ Warm horse blankets in the winter. Snow is cold. Danny doesn't like the snow. He only likes his bright purple and yellow horse blanket he's allowed to wear when it is snowing outside.
Dislikes -
- Being ridden. Danny really doesn't like the feeling of somebody on his back, pressing into his stomach. Danny gets very nauseous very easily, and it's a disgusting feeling to live through when you just want to roll around in hay.
When alone, Danny is a playful and somewhat aggressive horse. Like most ungelded stallions, Danny is
more wild than his older and fully retired companions within the barn, and his aggression is often destructive.
There have been many times that Danny has been left alone for the night, just for the handlers to come back
to scored wood and broken doors - all with Danny laying contently in his hay, waiting to be paid attention to.
His horns are a bit of a sticking point for a lot of the field-hands that are brought in to help with the horses.
They are required to be cleaned every day, twice a day. Once when Danny is first approached and fed in the
morning, then once when he is brought into his stable and washed down at night. Because of Danny's playful
nature, it is not uncommon to hear stories of him getting and bit too overwhelmed and causing cuts and wounds
by accident. Most of the current helpers have resolved to putting marshmallows on his horns while they're
dealing with him, then feeding the marshmallows to him once they are done.
With other horses, Danny is polite and unassuming. He stills runs and romps around lie he tries to do with
his handlers, but he takes into account his strength with those of his own species, and takes into serious
consideration what his peers in the pasture can take. With humans, he does not fully understand how
powerful they are, and assumes that because they can subdue him while training, they can always do so.
Horses can't do that, so he must be careful with his horns and size when playing with other stallions and
mares. He also knows that if he headbutts one more horse, he'll get yelled at and he really doesn't like
getting yelled at and put in the stable for a whole day. It's not fun.
