playful ;; mem will never shy away from an opportunity to play. His parents always figured that he'd grow out of it eventually, but he maintained his youthful attitude well into adulthood. While some may find daily tasks / chores boring and monotonous, he's able to make the best of it, and turn chores into games! While sometimes during serious matters this isn't the most convenient personality trait, he's usually able to project a more calm side if needed.

jubilant ;; this chyro is always wearing a grin, and seeing him without one would be, well, extremely odd. He's extremely proud of any tasks he completes, and radiates a joy that seems to be contagious. It is very hard not to have your mood improved after having a conversation or even just spending some time around with him, in his handler's case.

generous ;; mem would give you anything you could if it seemed like you needed it. He knew that yes, sometimes he would get taken advantage of, but in the end he still felt better for helping, and the other person would also benefit.

accepting ;; as a young chyro, mem was often targeted for his appearance. Leers of "mutant" and "mistake" were often heard, to his parent's dismay. Because of this treatment in his youth, he has become hyper-tolerant of those around him, creating an environment where anyone could feel welcome. One of the only times you will see him lose his cheerful demeanor is if someone is excluding another, or being unkind for no reason.

A large Chrysocyon lays in the sun, tail swishing lazily next to her. Skulls and bones decorate her saddle, and a large helmet presumably made from bone. She seems to have spotted you, but doesn’t bother doing much. Only a low growl alerts you that she’s aware of your presense. Another person steps out of the shadows, and they’re short and slightly scary; almost shaman like. That’s what you assume she is, or at least in training; she’s young. “Go away,” she growls, pointing a staff at you. You throw your hands up in alarm, your heart racing as the previously tame beast rose up and pressed against her handler, baring large, sharp fangs. Uh oh.

Nunchi is a very quiet and reserved chrysocyon. She tends to stick to the side of her handler, and rarely goes off to do her own thing. You’d expect such a large creature to be a force to be reckoned with, however that doesn’t seem to be the case with poor Chi. Not when she’s alone, at least. Chi doesn’t appear to be able to harm a fly, instead coming off as lackadaisical in the eyes of others. She lays around quite a bit, like a lazy lion at a zoo, just bored and waiting for something to spend her time doing. She makes her way the tribe and just exists, not appearing to want to bother with anything else. She loves watching and listening, simply being one with the area around her.

You explain that you are here to see one of the more rare chrysocyons that live in the area, one that you appear to have angered quite a bit unintentionally. The shaman laughs and lowers her staff. “What is it you want to know?”

You wish to have details about everything, wishing to know if such a mutation has other effects. You grow uneasy, though, as the beast glares at you, heterochromic eyes gleaming with nothing but hatred for you. You wonder what is going through her mind. “Nunchi, Halt.” The shaman yells. To your delight, Nunchi broke her angered gaze and turned to her companion in obedience. How could she have tamed such a beast?

Despite her lazy looks, that’s not who she is any other given time. In fact, most would never believe that it’s the Chryso when they saw her in action. When it’s just her and her handler, Chi is focused to the point nothing else exists. Hunting? Easy. Searching for things? She has a special knack for finding things, it’s pretty amazing. The point is, she’s good at what she does and she knows it. Nunchi is extremely devoted to Yacha, and serves as her familiar and guardian. Nunchi adores Yacha, and the two share a bond stronger than any in the tribe. Yacha and Nunchi both act as the shaman of the village they live in, both being paired right from the beginning. Nunchi believes wholeheartedly that this was what she was meant to do: protect, guide, and assist Yacha in all that she does. She knows that her job is an important one, and that she would die for Yacha in a given instant.

”Chi was given to me when I came of age. Omens spoke of a chryso being born that held not one, but two spirits inside. That was Nunchi. She’s stubborn, and she does have a temper when it comes to other chrysocyons, but she does her job well. I know that she understands me, and I her. She’s super smart like that. Nunchi loves what she does, too, I can always tell by the proud way she walks when I sit on her saddle, trotting down in an almost show-pony kind of way. We all love her here. I’m glad that she’s my companion; I’m glad she’s my friend.”

Nunchi is a natural born sweetheart, though, and is exceptionally great with human children and young kids. She has an astounding amount of patience, making her a popular favorite among the young tribe kids. This is only geared towards human children and pups, though. She doesn’t seem to have the same patience for other chryso’s closer to her age. Take Phoenix, for example. Moki is one of Yachas closer friends, so unfortunately, Chi tends to be stuck with the goofy oddball known as Phoenix. She ignores him most of the time, although it’s hard when he continually bothers her. Worst case scenario, she asserts her dominance and scares him, trying to get him to leave her alone. She tries to stay away from other chrysocyons for the most part, not being the best “pack animal” in the tribe.

if you were to ask someone sum roxanne up in a few words, their answer would probably be along the lines of, "she's a manipulative, possessive, perfectionist and you shouldn't go anywhere remotely near her," and they wouldn't be wrong, per se, but not right either.

roxanne is infamous in her town for being one of the nastiest, most manipulative, controlling chryos to ever live there, and that's probably true. her reputation is by no means wrong or incorrect, just not quite complete. it's relatively hard to describe anyone in just a few simple words, especially her.

she's a huge extrovert, and loves talking to people. it gives her so much energy and she's always surrounded parties because of her ability to charm and innate ability to capture the attention of others. roxanne was born to be in the spotlight, and has several interesting stories to tell- and people love hearing them, regardless of whether they're completely true or not. she isn't afraid at all of being on the stage and being the center of attention, quite the opposite really. her enthusiasm and energy is almost infectious. she has incredibly high self-esteem and probably doesn't give a crap what you think about her.

roxanne also is hard-working, motivated and extremely loyal. she can make herself do pretty much anything she wants with her incredible self-confidence, discipline and drive, a prime example being waking up at five a.m. every morning to go for a thirty-minute run with her handler. she is insanely loyal to her handler and (few) friends and would probably kill someone if they needed her to.

unfortunately, with the good comes the bad, and roxanne is definitely no exception.

she is very controlling and cannot stand it when people don't do what she wants them to. she fakes being kind and giving to make people believe she is actually a good person, and that everyone else who says she's terrible is just jealous. she flirts and bestows gifts upon them, hoping to win their favor through material wealth and empty praises, which almost always works, unfortunately. she only has a couple true friends, one of those being her handler.

she is definitely a perfectionist, and cannot stand anything less from herself, and when things don't go her way, she insists its her own fault and hates herself for it. average is failure, and failure is not acceptable in roxanne's mind. this drive, this obsession for perfection often scares others away.

roxanne is a natural-born liar. she has been lying ever since she was young, and after a few years of became a habit, even about small, insignificant things, such as going to the store. it's become so ingrained into her mind that she doesn't even notice at this point. when it comes to serious things, she lies just as easily, and always has someone else to blame for whatever terrible thing she did.

of course she doesnt always get away with things, and that's where it gets messy. when accused she is incredibly defensive and on occasion lashes out at others. roxanne's handler has done her best to stop all of her horrid behaviors, but to no avail. despite this, their bond is incredibly strong and either one would fight to the death for the other.
