They wear a piece of jewelry/clothing that reminds them of something from the past.
What is it they wear, how did they get it, and what does it mean to them?

Prompt Response: The obsidian ring, is a magnificent stone polished to perfection. It glints with a beautiful but haunting look that catches the attentions of all those who catch a glimpse of it. The stunning jewel rests on a simple but elegant silver ring, forged in a weaving pattern that intertwines the two pieces of silver together. Venessa where’s the ring on her horn, it’s her home, a reminder of her parents, and a reminder of the life she never got to have.
Why is everyone always trying to be right? Dreaming to be famous among the lot. But here I sit all alone, for all I really want is a place to call home. A place to be safe, and to hide amongst the crowd.
530,657 years ago, I lived in a beautiful manor overlooking the pastures that would stretch out for miles. I lived with my dear mother and father, wealthy nobles of a small kingdom called Lyophia. I was at a mere age of 12, still learning the ways of our world. I had been spending majority of that spring morning in the library

Every school taught about the ancient warriors of history that ruled during the golden age, commonly known as the "Jade era." There were two legendary figures that existed at the time, Weihan of the North & Hanbin of the East. They were seen as gods by the people due to their greatness as leaders. Though the two were warring enemies, there were rumors that the two were lovers. The rumors were soon dismissed as a myth, but the two commonly appeared as lovers in the media of the modern era.
History claimed that Weihan & Hanbin never had kids. But Yoon would tell you otherwise. He looked like the perfect mixture between Hanbin & Weihan. Though history had denied the romance between the two, Yoon possessed an item that would prove history wrong. & that item was a bangle. If someone were to ask him why he wore it all the time, his eyes would soften & he would tell you about how his father used to take him out to the tea garden when he was 5. They wouldn't understand, of course, but they didn't say anything because Yoon had such a somber look on his face. The golden bangle was marked by two unique gemstones, said to symbolize the two different kingdoms that the pair reigned in. It is rumored that Weihan & Hanbin came together to create the bangle so that history had proof that their love was real. The other proof, of course, was their secret child. There were documents recently recorded about someone who claimed to be their son. The document recounted the tragic downfall of Weihan after the death of Hanbin. Though, the claim was easily dismissed. Their love child existed thousands of years ago. There is no way in hell he would still be alive.
Classmates would often turn around & stare at Yoon with curiosity in their eyes every time they came across a picture of either Weihan or Hanbin. This had to be a coincidence, right? The heroes existed thousands of years ago. But as crazy as it sounds, there was a reason to why those documents were just recorded rather than thousands of years ago. There was a reason to why Yoon resembled them so much, & there was also a reason to why he always wore that bangle.
Thousands of years ago, the great Hanbin apprenticed an immortal named Pandorra. Though Hanbin took him in as an apprentice for altruistic reasons, he soon learned a lot about magic. He confided with Weihan, & they created the bangle together. The bangle held a power that can transcend the wielder through time. Though, the bangle did have its limitations. It could only transcend you forward through time, & it can only be used once. Hanbin wanted to run away with Weihan with the bangle, but Weihan refused. He couldn't abandon his kingdom. That year, Weihan & Hanbin had a baby boy. The boy's flowing dark hair & passionate eyes flooded Hanbin with sadness. "Let's call off this war, Weihan. I don't want our son to suffer like we had to." & so Weihan agreed & told him he was going to call the war off as soon as the sun rose above the horizon & painted the skies orange. They were going to live happily, & they were going to raise their son with the love they never received as a child.
But in a world where only war exists, happy endings only happened in dreams. Hanbin was murdered by rogue assassins from Weihan's kingdom that night. The great Hanbin was dead before the sun could rise above the horizon & paint the skies orange. The North had won the war. Weihan never made an appearance as the North celebrated endlessly with banquets & feasts. The people were confused as to why Weihan only responded to the news with an empty smile followed by silence. The truth was that a part of Weihan died the night Hanbin was killed. Weihan's health rapidly deteriorated & he passed away 5 years later. The North stopped celebrating the day Weihan had died. Confusion buzzed through the air. Though Weihan had won in the end, he was still unhappy. Why?
Since Weihan had no children, his sister's biological son took the throne & ruled the kingdom. Due to Weihan's success as a ruler, the North prospered for years on end. Weihan reigned as a legendary hero for his successes, & his solemn reaction to Hanbin's death was hidden from history. The rumored son & the magic bangle was never found, & so it soon became an urban legend.
In the back of a lively classroom, sat a boy with flowing dark hair, passionate eyes, & a cracked bangle.
Extra:
My son,
You will probably hate me for sending you off like this, but I have no other choice. My body is deteriorating & my time is almost up. I can't let anybody else know the truth about you, because they'll execute you for sure. This kingdom has no morals. They will do everything for pride, & I'm afraid your existence is a threat to their pride. That's why I had my sister raise you. That's why my time with you was very limited. I wanted to give you the world, but I couldn't. You are too beautiful for this place. Too beautiful for a life like mine. A life like your father's. So please, try to understand why I sent you away.
A few months before you were born, your father saved & apprenticed an immortal. That man promised to repay any favors Hanbin requested, but that never happened. But listen carefully, I need you to find a man named "Pandorra." Tell him you are Hanbin's son & show him the bangle on your arm. He will understand. He will raise you & provide you with the love I was never able to give you.
The tea garden I always took you to was where Hanbin & I fell in love. It was our secret hideaway, & now it will be a secret between the three of us. Your father was a great man. The seas part & the skies split at his command, & I never understood why he fell in love with me. I wish you could have met him. This is all my fault, & the regret I bear burdens me more than the searing claws of a tiger. I'm terribly sorry for the pain I have caused for both you & your father. I have no right to be called a king. Your father said I resembled a "Yoon" instead of a "Weihan". I never understood what it meant, so I just assumed he was calling me that as some form of mockery. I loathed it at the time, but now I know what that name means. It means someone who dreams. & that's why your name is Yoon. So dream on, little Yoon.
I love you, forever & always,
Weihan
