Lunan had always been sort of a problem child at birth, the kalons that raised him never really knew how he would react to certain things, and in all honesty, they were slightly terrified at the thought of what the child could do if these problems weren't treated early. However, by the time they had gotten enough money to send the kit to a therapist and a doctor, it was too late for him to properly recover. As it turned out, the problem didn't come from a mental disorder as the caretakers originally thought. Both the doctor and the therapist had found out through the words of Lunan that his thoughts of violence and aggression didn't come from his own brain, but from the eye that was on his chest. Though the cause was known to a basic degree, nobody knew what the eye had to do with his violence quite yet.

Lunan knew though, he knew what the eye wanted and how the eye was going to try and get it. He had heard the spirit of the eye tell him that he had once fallen in love with a beautiful kalon, but that he had rejected him and drowned him in a lake. His unrest due to never being able to get back at their his former crush brought him to being a restless spirit who wanted a body to take over so that he could enact revenge. Lunan's body was apparently the "strongest, youngest, most unsuspecting vessel", in the eye's perspective. Everyone had just assumed that Lunan was born with it, though there was never any documented proof found that it was a trait at birth.

The eye's mistake was choosing a body when the little kit was only barely old enough to walk. Every hour he was in the body of the small child, taking a backseat as he watched the little kit develop into a teenager, he was thinking about his revenge. Time moved far too slowly for his liking, and when it came time for Lunan to move away from home, and to finally strike out on his own without parents to watch over the eye's anger tossed out by the vessel, the eye was restless.

"Days turned into years, and into centuries, patience had to fade."

Though the eye was restless, and completely out of patience, he had felt himself struggle emotionally with taking control of the body fully. He had watched Lunan grow up into a fine strong gentleman, though all the trials and tribulations that not every boy with a hacksaw had to go through. After all of that, he couldn't just take the poor kalon's soul and send him into the depths of the underworld forever. Lunan had always talked about wanting to be the eye's second in command, to help him get revenge on the one who had killed him, but the eye had always refused. However, now that he felt a connection with the younger being, he finally wanted to take Lunan up on the offer.

The two went on to become the most notorious duo around multiple cities, taking the lives of those who had hurt others with their own selfishness, enough to kill them, either physically, socially, or mentally. Though the two shared one body, they left markings at the place of their crimes, two of them, causing confusion among the police force. Their humorous game that involved some sort of psychological warfare with the police had even gotten some of them to quit. And even to this day, they have not found the closest relative to The Eye's murderer, and they are still evading police no matter where they go. Both of them never seem to stop being fueled by revenge.

The eye and Lunan are seperate beings, though the body they both share goes by Lunan for simplicity. Both individuals identify as male, so pronouns aren't exactly an issue with them in this regard. The eye treats Lunan like an adoptive son, taking care of him even when he's old enough to take care of himself.

Chapter One: Monster Eyes

Layla had always been a tomboy since she was young. When she was a kid she would play in the streets of the city with boys. She was like a boy herself. Layla was also the type of person who wanted to be intimidating. But when her large fangs and sharp claws didn't work, she would put a large fake eyeball made out of cardboard on her chest, and she liked to consider herself "a monster" to her arch enemies. This was when she was young, and years later when she was a young adult she didn't change a bit. She would still wear a cardboard eyeball on her chest, even though some other ladies would look disgusted at the sight of her.
