The story of how they became friends is a long one, but to keep it short and to the point, one morning Rise was sleeping (as she does quite often), when unbeknownst to her, a little sparrow with a broken wing crash-landed into her bed of hay. Thinking Rise's nostril was a nice warm tree hollow, the little guy snuggled up inside, waking up Rise. Rise shot him from her nose and then decided to keep him and help him heal. Junipers, as he is called, flight pattern has never been the same though…

Indi's odd companion is a prey mantis that has made it's self at home in the tree outside his stall. As he has a 'window' of sorts that has a small tree outside of it, Indi spends most of his time when he is inside hanging his head out the window and chilling out with his little insect buddy.

odd companion; His odd companion is a small frog, they met one night when int had rain quite a lot and Vinur was wet from the rain, the frog found the strange animal intriguing and investigated. Luckily for The frog Vinur was very kind and treated the small frog as just another friend and the two stuck together ever since.

odd companion; gideon befriended a coyote who often wanders onto the barn territory. He has nicknamed said coyote Trick, and the two galavant through the territory causing trouble. The other horses within the herd do not take kindly to the vile creature, and often times gideon must rush to his friends' aide against the other aggressive stallions. Trick is smart, and manipulative - she finds herself to be the brains of the duo. She hatches a plan, and her strong and able companion Gideon carries it out. Gideon is not blind to his henchman status, though he has his own plans to carry out and he needs Trick's trust to do so.

Alecto's odd companion isn't so much of one companion as they are several generations of companions. Her companions are the tireless blue orchard bees common on her owners' ranch. They served to help her get over fear of bees from a young age (too many poor experiences with angry honeybees and hornets) and she adores watching the female bees work throughout the spring time and fly in and out of their little peepholes of nests. She's not entirely sure what they do in them, but she enjoys seeing the descendants of that one kind bee from long ago collect mud from the soft earth in the pasture. She still remembers fondly how the tiny bee would perch on her hide or shoulder for a quick rest on early mornings. That female bee never stung.
