Alrighty, I have set of viscets planned out for another personal theme that I'm doing ^u^
These viscets have been inspired by various classes and characters present in RPG video games.

These first two are based off of heroes that plan to set off on an adventure of a lifetime.
Every great hero has to start somewhere, just like these two PPS visclings!
Please click here to see the partner viscet!

This will be a partner comp!
You and your partner will need to come up with a story showcasing one important adventure that these two visclings experienced with each other. Where did they go? What happened? Did they reach their destination in the end?

The limits present below is for one singular form. While the stories need to be similar in terms of what happens on their adventure, both you and your partner are allowed to write it to explain it from your character's own perspective ^u^)/ However, having the same exact story on both forms is completely allowed as well.

Rules:
- Off site forms are not allowed.
- Off thread forms are allowed. Please link to them as soon as possible.
- The writing present in both forms must be written by you and/or your partner. Plagiarism is not allowed.
- Prettying up is allowed. Linking to songs will count towards prettying up.
- Extras are allowed; please see the form below for more details.

This will end on August 4th at 8:00 PM Pacific Time!

Disclaimer: As these two are PPS'd, this means that they cannot grow into an adult viscet without the use of a Reverse PPS Potion.

Adventure Prompt + Writing Extra (3,487/3,500):
The darkened night air was cool and crisp, the ground cold and damp. The night was calm, filled with many ordinary noises. The most unfamiliar to the naive night was the roar of a bus engine and the chattering of campers who were supposed to arrive at five, but instead showed up to camp late due to difficulties on the way there. The loudest thing to be heard by the viscling campers was the start of the constant chirping of crickets hidden in the grass all around. A few ‘who whooo’s’ that could be heard from an early owl were only the first of many hoots to come.

Ceorra couldn't help but to grin uncontrollably as he paced down the steps behind his best friend Spiro. He excitedly looked around-The camp looked just as cool as he expected to be- no- it was cooler than he imagined. Ceorra was obedient to follow the camp advisor, Aphrodite, who told them to stay close as she took them to their sleeping quarters. She called out names in lists for cabins. Ceorra was saddened to learn that they didn't mix boys and girls and he couldn’t be with Spiro. After talking with Spiro he warmed up to the idea. Besides, maybe he would make a new friend, but he knew whoever it was wouldn’t be as awesome as Spiro.

When all the visclings had been assigned, they were dismissed to go to their cabins. Ceorra saw Spiro turn back towards him as she walked away, and she told him “Bye,” softly. He sighed and called out “See you later.” She was smiling, so he too smiled back, even if it wasn’t in the slightest real. It was a disappointing start to camp. He looked back to see Spiro walking to last cabin, twelve, before he went into his own cabin: cabin four.

It was a small cabin, or at least it was small for four energetic boys, and it didn’t have much at all, a rug, a couch, two beds (each with a different color blanket), and a bathroom. Because he was the last one of his roommates to get in the cabin, they had already called beds. Two boys who sat on their beds were arguing whether or not they should chant “Cabin four four-ever!” or “Cabin four fur-ever!” while the third boy just sat quietly in silence. One of the two top bunks was the only bed left, so he sighed and climbed up the ladder to test his new bed. It wasn’t especially comfortable, though he was fully prepared to sleep outside for a few nights anyway. The yellow blanket was soft and the sheets weren't too scratchy however. He sat up, letting his legs drape over the bed as he swayed them in a soft kick. He sat in thought for a while, taking it all in. He wanted to unpack before they all had to go to bed, so he did just that. He unzipped his small suitcase and took out some stuff. There really was nothing special at all- he didn't dare bring anything truly special for the chance it would get lost or break is too great to risk.

Ceorra woke up in a frantic jolt. Just a bad dream. He looked around the room- two of his cabin mates were still sleeping, but the one quiet boy was up, drawing in a notebook on the top bunk across from him. He looked to the clock, which read 6:48. He would only have twelve minutes until the alarm would go off and he had to get up. He figured that it would be best to get ready early- before he had to compete for space.

Ceorra and one of his cabin mates walked over to the benches and tables, hungry for breakfast. They both had to go to the bathroom, and the other two saved them seats near each other. As much as he wanted to decline and sit by Spiro, he didn’t want to be rude, and figured he had the rest of the week to hang out with her. He sat down in between a boy from cabin two and the rowdiest of his three cabin mates, though he would have preferred to sit by the quiet boy instead. The loud kids were served breakfast, and the noise only grew as the clatter of forks and plates clinked while they continued to talk. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted Spiro, sitting with her head down, not interesting in talking and barely poking at her food. He could tell she wasn’t fond of the noise.

The girl next to Spiro, finished with her meal, got up and sat down elsewhere. Spiro looked up in hopes to call over Ceorra, and Ceorra smiled as Spiro’s expression changed from worried to ecstatic as she saw he already noticed the seat. Ceorra, tray in hand, rushed over and plopped himself down next to Spiro. From that moment on he did his best to do everything he could with her. Apart from the team competitions such as the volleyball tournament, the two were inseparable and practically refused to partner with any of the other forty viscling sat the camp. They did the crafts next to each other, ate together, anything they could. They simply had more fun together.

Ceorra thought as if the day felt as if it passed by too fast. Every activity was so exciting, each one topped the last. However, no viscling that day stuffed themselves too full with dinner, because they all wanted to wait for the s’mores. Ceorra and Spiro couldn’t wait! There were going to be two different fires going to hold the forty visclings and the camp advisors, but the two were not going to let that separate them. They both hurried from their cabins when called and rushed over to a log for for. Bleu, Spiro’s cabin buddy sat to the right of her, while Ceorra sat to Spiro’s left, and to Ceorra’s left sat the quiet viscling from his cabin. Aphrodite and Ceorra’s brother, Akio (who was there only for the volunteer hours), brought over the supplies to the two groups. It was a dreamy sight, bags of marshmallows, stacks of bars of chocolate, and a bunch of packs of graham-crackers.

Aphrodite started to pass around supplies on paper plates. As she walked over to the visclings on other logs, Spiro, not being able to contain herself, lashed her hand out and grabbed a marshmallow out of the open bag. Ceorra started to laugh, which made Bleu laugh, which made the fiercely chewing Spiro start to giggle too. Aphrodite turned around in suspicion, only to see the three viscets smiling innocently.

Whilst the visclings finished cooking their marshmallows and began to eat, Aphrodite hushed the few still-talking campers. The air became deathly silent inbetween the cracks and pops of the fire. Aphrodite had a devilish smirk on her face. She began to speak.

“Hello Everyone.” Her smile grew more friendly as she looked around at the illuminated faces of the campers. “Welcome to camp Tawera. I hope you have enjoyed your first day at camp! Please gather around the campfire, at a safe distance of course, for a story!” As her smile grew villainous again, Spiro and Ceorra immediately knew they were going to be told a ghost story.

“A previous camper, a small viscling who went to this camp, just... like... you... One night he set out into the night, all alone. As he was walking he came across many animals. A few owls, some late mice, he even claimed to see a fox. The most terrifying sight he said, however, was a spirit who appeared right in front of them. It snarled a wolfish grow, and bared its huge yellow teeth. It crawled around him on all four of its long legs, which were attached to a scrawny, malnourished body. The camper said it got so close that he felt its tail brush up against its leg, but once it did it vanished.

Unusual footprints could be seen in the mud, and grass was suspiciously pushed down where it hadn’t been before. The boy followed the prints down to where they stopped as the ground turned to rock. They led into a cave where a viscet sat in a crystal cage. The viscling approached the prisoner with curiosity. The awe turned to fear when he heard the snarl of the spirit he had seen before. The spirit appeared before the viscets; it stared directly at the cage, taking no notice of the boy, who now crouched down, hiding behind the cage. The spirit figure continued to circle the cage, only breaking his gaze with the other viscet to stare at the boy. With a quick leap, the spirit lunged at the viscling, pushing him into where bars previously had been. The viscling was trapped into the cage! A bystander squirrel saw the whole thing, but nobody knows what has happened since!” Aphrodite said with emphasis, spooking the whole crowd of visclings and making them all stir with fright.

Aphrodite giggled at their horrified faces, and happily dismissed the children off to sleep. Ceorra’s cabin mates discussed the story as they walked to their cabin, but Ceorra didn’t participate- he was too worried about the easily scared Spiro.

Morning arrived slowly, although still much too soon, and Ceorra and his bunkmate, Foxy, were eager to talk to their friends in cabin twelve. They rushed to get ready so they could hang out for a while before breakfast. When they arrived, Foxy knocked on the door, and was greeted by a baggy-eyed Spiro, who despite looking tired, looked very happy to see them. “Hello! Guys- do you think that monster Aphrodite talked about is real?” Ceorra questioned in an excited tone to mask the fact he was worried about his friend.

“Ceorra, I don’t know. We couldn’t sleep just with the thought of that thing possibly still roaming through the woods,” Spiro responded, clearly making the ‘I don't know’ into a fearful ‘yes.’

“We are NOT going to go after that beast.” Blue snapped at the boys, joining in on the conversation.

“The four of us can be like the ghostbusters!” Ceorra smirked with excitement.

Despite the fact they would get in trouble for it, Spiro was persuaded and Bleu was dragged into doing it. The only reason why they agreed was to just find out if it was actually to be of concern or if they were losing sleep over nothing. The four friends planned to sneak out at eight, when all the campers were to be instructed to go to bed.

The visclings creeped out of their beds and out the doors sneaking out quickly, to meet up. They scurried into the forest to get out of sight before saying even a simple hello. Ceorra kept up a light jog, still being careful to not trip or step on anything loud. He looked to the girls, running right alongside him. Spiro looked very worried, though Bleu looked more grumpy than anything.

The kids stopped to catch their breath multiple times throughout their journey. They didn’t necessarily go in a straight line, but instead sort of zigzagged through to cover as much ground as possible without splitting up or taking too long. After an hour of wandering full of nonstop banter, jokes, and sarcastic comments, the group actually became serious as soon as Foxy finally didn’t cry wolf. “Woah, get a look at this!” He exclaimed as quiet as one can excitedly blurt.

“Haha, very funny Foxy.” Spiro rolled her eyes, only to widen them in shock, seeing what Foxy was standing next to. “Oh!” She gasped, laying back her ears. Ceorra’s jaw dropped in astonishment. “Wow!” He gulped. “So thats means it is real.” He whispered, all the color draining from his face after he looked back at the pawprint Foxy found.

A pawprint which could belong to nothing other than a monster.

“Guys! Come on! Guys, look!” Ceorra called out, rushing Bleu and Foxy, who had fallen behind. They had covered a long distance on their travels and they were burning out, completely exhausted. The campers had brought a bit of food to satisfy their late night hunger, but that didn’t make up for the lack of sleep they were experiencing.

Ceorra motioned the visclings over to a caveside. In it, just a few rocky steps down sat a huge crystalline cage. In it, two crystalized viscets- one a small camper, the other an adult. The four forgot their fear as they were in complete awe and giddy with satisfaction, or at least they did for a short while. “So it is real,” Bleu whispered, killing the moment. Because of the utter silence in the cave, the others could hear what she said. A chill went down their spines at the very realization.

“So the monster is real!” Foxy yelled, forgetting to be quiet in the moment he thought of how famous they would be for saving the viscets. Spiro’s eyes bugged as she practically tackled Foxy whilst shushing him.

“Wait… so where is it then? Is it here? Here with us? Do you think it heard us?” Ceorra questioned with dread.

“We have to go back,” Spiro whimpered. “We can tell Aphrodite an Akio in the morning. The four of us can’t do anything useful here. Lets just go!”

There was a short pause. “What was that? I think something touched my leg” Bleu cried in a high pitched voice. The group fell silent, exchanging worried glances that told each other that it was not them who brushed against Bleu’s leg.

The four slowly tried to shuffle out of the cave, until Ceorra caught sight of Foxy’s warm breath hit the cool night time air, which made a small cloud. Freaked out by the sudden whoosh of white, he jumped backwards, causing the whole group to fly back into the cave in confusion and fright.

In the act of running away, Spiro stumbled on the slippery rock. Because she fell onto her back, she sat up and absently used the thing next to her to help herself stand. That thing just so happened to be the cage. When she noticed, she yanked her paw back in alarm. Though she was scared out of her mind, she was also very curious, and took this chance to get a closer look.

Something felt off- the viscets. They were scuffed up and scratched. “What awful being can scratch crystal?” She pondered.

“Or what if it's not crystal at all?” Ceorra heard Spiro whisper, as she was still staring at the crystal viscets. She turned her gaze to Ceorra, who she saw watching in the distance. He tilted his head to show his confusion, and she threw her head back in the motion that signald him to come over. Spiro put her paw on the cage bar, looking mindless as if in a focused trance. She stared at the bar in disbelief, which confused Ceorra. He warily put his paw to the bar. Shocked at what he felt, he turned back to Spiro and screeched “This is plastic!”

Drawing the attention of Bleu and Foxy, it wasn't long until all four visclings were standing the plastic bars. Although a unanimous agreement of disappointment surrounded the air, they couldn’t help but be relieved it was all fake. Ceorra was not going to lie- he was sad they didn’t get to see a real monster or save any viscets. He let out a final deep-sigh as he looked back at the cave. Letdown, he walked back to camp with droopy ears and tails. However, he figured that it was all for the best that they didn’t have to face an evil spirit, and Spiro and her friend both seemed a lot calmer now that they knew the story they had been told was actually complete fiction.

It wasn’t long before they arrived at the campsite. It was obvious that one of their cabin mates had taken notice of their absence and reported it, because he could see two viscets walking around with flashlights. Ceorra felt his stomach turn. Ohhhh how they were going to get in big, big trouble.

“Well… what are we going to do now!” Foxy whispered as angrily as one can whisper.
“They are going to see us if we walk in the cabins!” Ceorra uttered quietly in distress.
“We can’t go through the front doors…” Bleu mumbled.
“...so then we go through the back windows.” Foxy added on.

“We can’t just leave them hanging, they are looking for us! I bet they are worried sick!” Spiro said.

“Yeah, you’re right… what if we lie and say we were going to the bathroom but got lost?” Ceorra contemplated.

“All four of us at once?! For so long?! How stupid do you think they are?” Bleu muttered, rolling her eyes.

“We’ll confess, then. Okay? We’ll straight up just tell ‘em where we were at.” Spiro looked at all of them. As soon as Ceorra opened his mouth to speak, she looked at him with a gaze that said needed no words: ‘Trust me. I know what I am doing, this is for the best.’ Her expression spoke.

“That’s our only good idea- let’s do it,” Ceorra shrugged, smiling at Spiro. He watched his best friend talk with his two new friends, though he was really only paying attention to her and not what anyone was saying. A bit jealous of the others, you could say. It usually was just them two. A bit ruffled up, he shook himself and whispered “Okay- let’s go now!”

“That’s... exactly what I just said, Ceorra. Were you not listening?” Foxy was taken aback.

      “Sorry,” Ceorra blushed in embarrassment.

The four visclings followed one of the flashlights to greet Aphrodite. “Gosh! Where have you guys been!” She practically screamed. “We have been looking for you for half an hour now! How long have you been gone?!” She hugged every single one of them tightly. “Do you know how worried- ohhh you guys are in big big trouble!” She scowled, shaking her head. Taking both Spiro and Foxy’s hands she dragged them to the main cabin, letting Akio, who finally came over, assist Ceorra and Bleu.

They all sat down in chairs. “Can I explain?” Spiro asked.

      “Mmmmhmmm. You better!” Aphrodite glared.

“We were really interested in that story you told us... and... curiosity got the best of us, so we snuck out to look for it.” She hunkered down in embarrassment.

“And become famous...” Foxy mumbled; Aphrodite didn’t hear.

“I suppose you found the setup for tomorrow’s hike then.” Aphrodite frowned, crossing her arms.

“Yes, sorry! We know it was dangerous and we shouldn't have gone.” Spiro exclaimed, a distressed tone in her voice.

“But we did go,” Ceorra mumbled. “And we risked our safety and your jobs, but wouldn’t have been your fault if we had gotten hurt under your care.” He stared at Akio with sad eyes. Aphrodite was greeted by all four campers making sad puppy-eyes.

Foxy added on. “But I mean- we are okay! Isn’t that all that matters! We’ve learned our lesson, so let's just brush this off?” He smiled hesitantly.

“No, no. We’re going to try to call your parents- if they don’t pick up, expect calling them in the morning. Foxy, come with me. ” Aphrodite said mercilessly.

“Bleu, come with me.” Akio motioned her over.

Spiro and Ceorra were left alone in the room. Ceorra turned to her with a worried look. “Spiro? Is something happening to us? It’s always just been us two, you know? An unstoppable team... but something about this night hasn’t been right. I feel like you don’t need me as much anymore... I dunno. Maybe I’m just being dumb. But I can’t help but feel like you had more fun with Bleu and Foxy talking on our adventure than you have had with just me?”

“Ceorra, we’ll always be best friends!” Spiro smiled gently. “And once camp is over- who knows how often we will see those two! We all four get along so great, but we don’t know how far they live from us? What if we never see eachother again? Ceorra, me and you are like puzzle pieces. We fit we work- but there is always room for more pieces to make a better puzzle. Those first two pieces don’t have to be moved!” Spiro explained, being right as usual.

“Thanks.” Ceorra muttered. “You’ll always be my best friend, Spiro. I can’t imagine a world without you! When we go back home- we will have to see them again! Think of all the adventures we will have!” He said excitedly.

Spiro, putting a paw on her locket, smiled at Ceorra. Ceorra smiled back.

his game begin to load itself. it was time to play, now.

it was mid-afternoon when cecil had finished his chores, and as he did almost every single night, he slid down into the
worn black chair and powered up his computer. his blue eyes reflected the light from the screen as it turned on, and then
he slid the cursor to the desktop shortcut he used nearly every single day, without fail. the screen went black for a tick,
and then a logo faded into view, along with some catchy, generic fantasy music. he hummed along with it, smiling as the

“hmm… let’s see what’s on the to-do list for today,” he said aloud as the game faded into a loading screen, before finally
he entered the real part of the game. there were a few side-quests he had to do today, though he doubted it would take
more than a few hours to complete them all. although, he’d been doing side-quests almost incessantly, recently. “maybe
    it’s time for a change in pace….”

[ charmiene ]: hello, is anybody here?
[ ramiel ]: ye, im here. u new or smthn?
[ ramiel ]: actuakly i cant talk rn, gotta purge
    this one boss soul first,
but after that ill be free to talk. that ok w/ u?
    [ ramiel ]: tbh u dont have a choice, i gtg, but
go on some noob quests or smthn idk.
try leveling up; ur only lvl 2 rn lmao

perhaps that had been a tad rude. after all,
there was a point when he had been new to
the game as well. actually... he paused to think,
his fingers stopping. her response came rather
quickly. she talks so formally. it's ok, he
thought to himself, you can loosen up a bit.
    i promise.

    [ charmiene ]: alright then,
i will wait for your return.
[ charmiene ]: i will go complete some quests,
like you have suggested. thank you

good, god, he was bored. it felt like he'd been
doing the same thing over and over and over again -- which, to be perfectly fair, he had
for the entire playtime of this game. it was a very grind-y game at some points, but he
was used to it and, honestly, he liked the grind. well... except for now. it had become
a bit bland recently. the game hadn't had any events or updates in a bit, and that was
really what had been the lifeblood of it. without new updates, and with no one to play
with at the moment, it was a bit frustrating, if he were to be honest. it was just... it
    was just so boring.

his attention was piqued when someone familiar logged back in to the lobby server
area. it had been the cleric from earlier, the one that talked far too formally and
who had just started the game. well... he could try making a new friend. he only
usually hung out around the people he was used to, after all.

[ ramiel ]: hey there, im back
    [ ramiel ]: oh u leveled up a bit, i guess i can start
helping u out w/ some quests now
[ ramiel ]: that is, if you want the help
[ charmiene ]: well i mean, the help will be greatly
appreciated, but i'm fine with slowly learning the ropes by myself as
well. that's how i usually end up dealing with most of the situations that i get put
    through in real life.
[ ramiel ]: wow lololol no offense but thats sad
[ ramiel ]: u sure u dont want any help tho? im plannign
on sticking around for a while longer nd i wouldnt mind
    having someone to talk to
[ charmiene ]: well... since you put it that way, i guess
some help couldn't hurt? i'm planning on retiring for the night.
soon, however. we could meet up at a later date to play, if you want?
[ ramiel ]: hm ya that works w/ me ig
[ ramiel ]: im surprised that ur sleeping so soon
[ ramiel ]: didn't u just download the game? most people
download soul retribution and play for a while on the first
day before dropping it or smthn
[ charmiene ]: a friend convinced me to download it, and
i couldn't say no to her. it's a bit of a long story, to be honest,
and it'll take a while for me to explain everything.
[ charmiene ]: oh. time sure passes quickly when you're
on this game, huh? i need to sleep now. see you later, ramiel
    the paladin.
[ ramiel ]: would've been nice if u didnt @ me like that,
    but w/e
[ ramiel ]: before u log out, add me. we're gonna spin
through some dungeons and forests tmr, dm me when u log back
    in
[ ramiel ]: i'll probably be on, but whether or not im afk
    is a whole different story
[ ramiel ]: u just...... have to catch me at a good time,
    ig skdfjdklskfjk
    [ charmiene ]: understood. you've been added
    [ charmiene ]: goodnight.
    [ ramiel ]: gn

Well... at least she'd added him. That was something, wasn't it?

[ charmiene ]: hello. i'm back, as promised yesterday.
[ ramiel ]: wb, charmiene. hadn't rlly been expecting u to
    log in so early
    [ charmiene ]: early? i had been about to sleep, actually;
if we aren't going to do anything except talk, then i'd rather go
to bed at a reasonable time, unlike yesterday.
[ ramiel ]: geez, fine fine we'll go on some quests now. do
u have any u want to do in particular
[ charmiene ]: not really, i suppose. i just want to focus
on leveling up and getting used to these controls.
[ ramiel ]: htat makes sense, since ur new nd all that
[ ramiel ]: alright, ive decided; ill dm u the link to the party
im forming, nd all u need to do is join. dw, it's low enough
level for u to participate w/o too much trouble, and all u need
to do anyways is just heal me, since im the one doing
all the attacking, and ill be a shield for u
[ charmiene ]: alright then, that works for me.

    [ ramiel ]: wasn't that fun????
[ charmiene ]: that worked out better than i had initially
    imagined, to be honest.
[ ramiel ]: after a few rounds, do u sorta understand how
    this works now
[ charmiene ]: i do indeed have a better grasp on the
    game's mechanics, yes.
[ charmiene ]: i'd love to stay and talk some more while
going through more maps, but i've got to sleep.
[ ramiel ]: already? that sucks
[ ramiel ]: wlel, im guessing that ur gonna log in around
this time for now on, right
[ charmiene ]: if all goes according to plan, then yes,
    that is my goal.
    [ ramiel ]: huh
[ ramiel ]: good to know
[ ramiel ]: well, gn then; ill stick aroudn to fight off somem
ore souls, so in case u decide to log back in for whatever
reason, just hmu bc ill probably be on
[ charmiene ]: i'll be sure to keep that in mind in case i
    can't sleep. good night.

he was on his phone, scrolling through one of his many
favorite websites, but he was distracted. thoughts
plagued his mind, and all of them centered back onto
one individual; charmiene, she who he could not even
spell the name of well. he smiled awkwardly at the
thought of her, of how... strange she was, and yet, here
he was, a long-time veteran of the game, playing along-
side someone who was not only new, but played the
game far more casually than he did. all that, but... he
didn't really mind. actually, it was nice. he didn't have
to worry about her judging his skills or anything, or
making fun of him when he made a silly mistake. it
was kind of relaxing, having her as a friend. that, and
the fact she was rather amusing in her own right.

he paused at the thought that had just struck him. a
    friend.
that was a nice thought, yet. his friends in
real life were few and far between; he wasn't the type
to go out very much, after all. but... this was different.
she was his friend. or at least, he thought she was.

his friend, charmiene. that had a nice ring to it.

    [ ramiel ]: yo yo charmiene r u on
    [ ramiel ]: hello
[ ramiel ]: is anyone home
[ charmiene ]: i was just checking up on some things i
missed in the game, but yes, i'm here now. are we going to go on
    some quests like yesterday?
[ ramiel ]: hell ya ofc. what else would u do on this game
except go on the quests ???
    [ charmiene ]: that's...... a good question, i suppose.
[ charmiene ]: should i make a party this time? just to learn
how to do things instead of making you do it all the time?
[ ramiel ]: ya sounds good to me. dont forget to send me a
party invite tho, i wont b able to find it otherwise
    [ charmiene ]: understood.

[ charmiene ]: hey, that was actually pretty fun.
[ ramiel ]: ofc it was fun, this is soul retribution ur talkign abt
    [ charmiene ]: i don't know why i expected anything les
    from you.
    [ ramiel ]: hey >:( rude
[ charmiene ]: oh, my apologies. i didn't mean it like that.
[ ramiel ]: i know u didnt omg, im just pulling ur leg
[ charmiene ]: oh, i see. anyways, should we play some more?
[ ramiel ]: dont u haev to sleep tho? im not against it or anything,
but ur usually heading off to bed around this time,
    from what i remember
[ charmiene ]: huh... is that so? while i would've cared a lot
before, for whatever reason, i just... don't care as much,
    now. that's strange.
[ ramiel ]: is it really that strange of a thing tho? soul retribution
has that kinda effect on people; they tend to get
sucked in, but in return, they're given smthn else to care abt
[ charmiene ]: i mean, what you just said wasn't totally wrong.
that's definitely an interesting take on things; i'll
probably end up going to sleep with that on my mind for the entire
    night, to be honest.
    [ ramiel ]: lmao
    [ charmiene ]: lmao
    [ ramiel ]: ??!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!
[ charmiene ]: was what i said really that surprising?
[ ramiel ]: for some1 like u, ye. i wasnt expecting that at all, ngl
[ charmiene ]: huh, that's interesting, i guess. anyways, it was
nice talking to you, ramiel. i enjoy these small online
    chats, to be honest.
[ ramiel ]: i think thats good to hear. good night, charmiene
    [ charmiene ]: good night.

ever since the convention had held a room dedicated to soul retribution, complete with
panels all-day, places to play the game, and places to buy merch, he'd went. this was --
perhaps his third time going? he was none the less more excited, though, than his first.
he was used to going, and he knew a lot of the people that attended the annual convention.
not only that, but he'd gotten even more into the game now that he'd had someone to play
with even more. in any case, he was excited for this. perhaps more excited than he had
any right to be, but that didn't stop him from going happily from table to table in the room,
and then back again, marveling at all the merch, new and old alike. he enjoyed getting into
conversations with fellow players, and occasionally stopped by a table to talk to other patrons
or the owner of the table. it was so fun getting to know the community better, to share tips
and tricks and learn things that he, even after so long, still didn't know. quick ways to get
around or even ways to change the settings in the game. there were so many things that he
could learn just by talking and sharing with fellow retributioners.

there was one attendee in particular that caught his eye. she looked out of place and awkward,
though she was talking to another attendee that looked like they were trying to calm her down.
he heard her speak, and caught something that... well, it didn't really surprise him, but it gave
him a way to segway into the conversation, walking over and flashing a friendly smile.
"you're from texas? that's kinda cool, so am i." he said, pausing for a moment before
he continued, glancing up at the ceiling for a moment. "but yeah... the heatwaves really are a
problem. what's your name? i don't think i've ever seen you at this convention before..."

"oh, i'm cordelia. nice to meet you, what's yours? i downloaded the game a few months ago,
and didn't have many opportunities to attend conventions because i never thought that i'd
enjoy myself very much. clearly, i've just proved myself wrong,"
    she said, chuckling.
he nodded. he'd been in her situation before too, only a few years ago.

"yeah, that's fair. i'm cecil, and i'd say that i'm a rather good player. well, it really depends on
    what you think 'good' is, but i often help newer players with the game. i'm ramiel, by the way;
feel free to add me if you want."
he got a... strange response after saying that. she stared
at him as if she didn't believe a word that left his mouth. then, she smiled, and his brows knit
together; was there some joke he was missing? Was his name funny? She wasn't about to make
a 'romeo' joke about his name, was she? it was so overdone--

"ramiel, huh... i believe i have a friend on soul retribution named ramiel. i'm charmiene; does
    that ring any bells?"
oh. oh, that explained some things. he stared at her just as she had
stared at him, with pure shock in his eyes, and inhaled sharply. he didn't know she was coming; had
she came just because he'd told her about it? when he said nothing, she continued.

"we should give each other our numbers of something to plan the raids out."
he stared for a few moments longer before he grinned slightly, nodding.

"good idea, cordelia. let's talk more later."
