thunk. moth squeezes her eye shut at the impact that sends all three of the legs she had planted on the ground scooting backwards. when the dust settles -a byproduct of this bubbly kamper rushing the ground to meet her- she dares to peek open her remaining eye to pin a curious gaze on him, surprised expression softening into one of amusement. this kamper wears dirt on him like war paint, hair tousled and tangled with twigs and what looks like glitter from the postcard station. he is grinning wider than must be physically possible, eyes crinkled in happiness - man, he radiates infinite energy it seems. moth looks down to see their paws still connected in the air, and can only begin to laugh quietly at the entire interaction. what an interesting summer this is going to be.

well ok then he Lowered his paw. that was strange
Zenith shivered,and tried to hide his confusion.

"Hi! Hi! I am Chesternut! He exclaimed

"Chestnut?"Zenith questioned

"Chesternut." He clarified, before hopping off bouncily

Zenith was quite confused,what a strange Kalon.

the high five experience: Sebastion could barely utter out a squeak as the bright pink and red kalon came charging out of the bushes towards him. His red eyes widened with fear as the kalon came to a sudden stop mere inches from his face, kicking up so much dust that Seb's eyes began to water. His vision blurred, Seb was barely able to see the bright kalon's paw coming at him, though his own paw, hanging limply in the air at the awkward end of a wave, felt the impact of the high five. Seb figured it was a high five, though the pain that accompanied such gesture was more akin to a slap.
Overall confused, Seb opened his mouth to ask the kalon a question, only to find seemingly every word in the dictionary, fired at rocket pace towards him by the bright kalon. "Hi there new friend, my name's Louie, but most just call me Lou, it's quicker to say so that you don't have to say as much, because isn't it so annoying when kalons just go on and on and your like why are you still talking, I've totally lost interest in what..."
Lou, Seb barely managed to make out the kalon's name from the quick-fired words, made it half-way through a point before getting distracted by something, a butterfly, as Seb later saw, and running off.

Pip freezes, then after a moment looks at the other kalon with a face of confusion and surprise. "Why did you give me a high five?"

"Was that not the reason you raised your hand? I'm so sorry!" she responded then continued on. "I'm Sílema by the way, who are you?"

"Pip, and it's fine, I was just surprised. You're the first person to greet me that way so far at camp," they said.

"Oh, this is how I greet everyone, whether or not I know them. It seems like the most friendly way to do it, don't you think?" she asked, seeming to be waiting for a response.

Pip thought for a moment, then spoke, "I guess you're right, I cannot think of another way that would be more friendly but is not also awkward."

She smiled, then started to walk back towards camp with them, smiling and chatting the whole way.

The sudden jolt back of the high five had Hyacinth dramatically tilting backwards with the flow of the fall. She offered a screech and touched the back of her open palm over her forehead. The slight decline of the woodsy hill worked to her advantage, and gave her momentum while she fell. Contorting herself to hit the ground, on her hands, in a back bend and push off to leap over the retreating figure.

She landed with a bounce, and came standing almost nose-to-nose with the crimson featured kalon.

“How peculiar.” She drawled out her words, folding her hands behind her and offering a curious smile, “where’s your team shirt?”

The kalon scratched her arm nervously, looking away and fumbling for a reply. “I uhm... left it in the room.”

“Oh! Then should I walk you back to get it? Or do I need to find another teammate? What’s your team?”

“I uhm.. of course I’m on the same team!”

“You’re on team mystic?”

“Yes!”

Hyacinth snorted, “wrong.”

“What do you mean?” The poor thing’s face drained of the vibrant colors, and she moved back and forth in mock irritation.

“That’s Pokémon go.” Laughs billowed from her chest, and she calmed shortly, clearing tears as she looked again at the distressed kalon. “So you’re a stowaway huh? That’s cool, we have an extra bed in our cabin come spend the night sometime. Oh! Cabin four okay?”

The kalon swallowed and gave a curt nod wordlessly, wiping the still existing sweat from her brow.

“By the way,” she added, “what’s your name? Never mind, I’ll just call you Sunshine.” The boisterous young Kalons stepped off down the hill with or without her new acquaintance.

Oh dear Jones, oh God. Why the hell is she RUNNING for me what did I do? Upon seeing the strange kamper leap out of the bushes, Jack immediately panicked... whenever someone moved that fast at home he had done something wrong. He didn’t understand- he had only meant to greet her! Were things different here?

The girl was fast approaching, though Jack could only gawk at her raised hand, face stricken in horror.
“STOP... please. I-I didn’t mean to make you angry...” A long pause - Jack was now crouched among the fall grass, nearly masked by the daisies, sunflowers, and wild nightshade. “I’m sorry.. I-“

Jack looked up, face shielded by an extended arm, palms up.

The kalon now towering over him only have a meek smile, offering him a hand up. “Dude, what are you on about? I was only gonna high five ya!”

“Uh.. right. High five.” Jack took her offered hand and stood up to meet her gaze.

“High five! I’ll show ya’, ya big silly.” She gingerly took his hand, raising it up to meet her own.

“See? Nothin’ to it - and nothin to be afraid of... you alright?” She studied him, Jack looked a bit embarrassed.

“yea.. sorry ‘bout that.. ah- “ Jack trailed off, paw still resting against hers, awkwardly, in mid-air.

“Aukai,” She winked, enclosing both hands around his.

“Why don’t we head back to camp, hm?” Aukai steered them both back towards the cabins, brushing aside the tall grasses and checking in on Jack every few paces, as if he would run off.
