Valentin is the firstborn prince in his family's line, previously entirely ruled by queens. he was born with the special markings that have been passed down to all of the queens before him. it is a tradition in their family for the kingdom to be passed down to the foal with these markings, which is still the plan as far as his parents are concerned. some villagers and court members, however, disagree due to him being a stallion. rumour has it there is a price on his head due to the outrage among the other court members.
