Mutation Serum! A very rare to win, and/or very expensive to buy in event shops aka 200-300 tokens value? Maybe even 300-500 tokens? The ability to add a mutation to your coming up grel (bred or custom), cannot be added to existing grels - only to planned ones!

Hmm, not a theme but a general idea but - an event, where we could enter with one of our own grels, doing prompts like we do for NPCs but for our own grel babies? <3 I think it would be very cool and bonding with them, to have activities to participate in. Perhaps with a limit of 1 activity per grel per event, which will make people want to enter for more grels to own more, so they can participate in different activities. :3 As for the theme itself, perhaps a History event based on Grelifcent lore? Where we "grel owners" would travel with our grels to some forgotten land connected to grelifcent history? And have our grels help us out exploring.
I'll just give this a point, but there are actually plans along the change for this whenever we get around to it.

4. May suggest a rule New or change, for Main Thread, Fan Club, ____? For +1 Roll.
As much as I love getting a ton of grels, perhaps an anti-hoarding rule of only being able to adopt 1 per day? ^_^ I think it'd be fairer to people to have this small limit, to prevent many grels being swiped at once and thus giving more people a chance to apply. Perhaps only have this rule apply per origin of the grel? Aka 1 breeding per day, 1 regular adopt per day, 1 event adopt per day - so people who adopt are more inclined to apply for different event/regular grels rather than just from one place!
I've been considering, I'll perhaps come out with a limit when things are being updated and when start regular adopts again

6. May suggest a Series/Theme Event, Give details on Series/Theme for Coat Designs. For +1 Roll.
A Dog Coats theme! Dogs have so many amazing colors and markings that would make great grells, like black and tan, merle like aussies, catahoula spots, and so forth! They could all be on kind side of the kindless rating because most dogs are kind and friendly! Maybe also featuring some "dog" mutations like folded ears, or slightly curved skull to look like a bullterrier, etc.

7. Give an opinion on Kindness Ratings. For +1 Roll.
It is pretty cool - helps a bit with a starting point of thinking up your grel's personality, although it'd be cool if it had more uses! Like enter only certain Kindness # in an event activity - for example, kind grells would do well in friendly activities, and not so kind would be better at dangerous or battle kind of activities!
I've been working on a new one actually and is still a WIP at the time and will be up and official with the new story when it's out.

8. Give 3 Mutation Ideas. For +1 Roll.
a) Very Rare - changed skull shape; a mutation that would alter the shape of grel's skull, like boney horn on the nose, a slightly shorter "pug" like nose, etc!
b) Very Rare - colored skull! (you already know I want that haha ) The skull would have colors on the body going into it, from a few splashes, to fully covering the entire skull; and the bone no longer smooth but more rough, like covered with invisible fluff, think tactile rubber on touch?
c) Very Rare - fur on skull; unlike the previous suggestion, the skull is normal bone-colored but there's tufts of long fur expanding from body growing on it. Usually on the top-side from forehead to nose, forming ridges looking like forelocks; or could be on the bottom line like a beard or middle line forming sideburns.
Ideas I'll consider in the future when mutants release more often they're still new.

9. Give 5 Mutation Ideas. For +1 Roll.
A bit smaller and more "crippling" suggestions here - perhaps a breeding-exclusive when bred unmixing gens together? Like two piebalds can make a lethal white, or albino+melanistic could produce undesired mutations. I feel it'd be quite amusing for breeding.
d) Eyeless - poor grel would be missing eyes, with sockets grown over by bones!
e) Extra limbs - a few smaller limbs hanging down the grel's body, a twin attached together to it. It'd severely affect it's stamina, it wouldnt be able to carry any weight.
f) Hoofless - legs with soft, stubby endings making the poor grel unable to run properly!
g) Acrania - parts of the skull are missing! It could be from upper jaw or lower jaw, or even holes forming a pattern. However that'd make the poor grel's skull very fragile.
h) Lethal White that I mentioned before - different from albino/achromia in that it affects the health of the grel to an extreme. Even skull would look very bleached, eyes could be half-closed like the grel isnt feeling well. Breeding a lethal white grel to a grel with white markings could have a higher chance to produce a mutated foal, but also, an equal chance of a foal being born dead, taking -1 breeding slot and putting the grel on the regular breeding downtime still. So it'd be a breeding wild card.
I may in future consider but probably not for awhile.. Couple maybe Effects on the skull missing parts, is sorta a little thing on higher kindness ratings being aggressive. Edits to the skull are okay if missing chunks or has lumps in it maybe. Eyeless idk. Not really into the hoofless. May not really consider doing extra limbs any time soon maybe only in the future.

10. Give Decor Ideas for New Info thread's posts. (be detailed). For +1 Roll.
Illustrations for each info post? It is a lot of work but it will sure make reading much more interesting. They dont have to be HQ detailed ones - actually sketchy/funny doodles for illustrations are even better, they're very amusing to look at and help memorise the info better when you have a visual to associate with it. ^_^

13. Give an entire Event Idea, if willing to help run it in some shape or form. For +1 Roll.
Oh oh oh - a Rescue event maybe? <3 Where people would apply to recieve a randomised grel with a sad story behind it - abuse, or getting lost, or etc. The users would then need to finish 3 prompts of caring for that grel all the way to the recovery - Getting Home, Treating, Recovering - can be art (at least colored sketch, both grel and owner present) OR at least 200 words text per prompt! Those that manage to finish all tasks get that grel, but if they dont by certain end date - the grel is then put up for public adoption. This event would also help people be more active, which is good. <3 I can help with the possible rescue cases for the generated rescue event grels!

1) Miasma Flasks - similar to dyes, they come in various colors and let you add a whispy glow/fog to your grel! Like whispy glow following the eyes or coloring breath coming out from mouth. Can be combined, so if 2+ colors used together, it can be multiple colored!
2) Fertility Potion - a rare win for events, it'd allow users to boost their chances of getting more than 1 foal in a breeding.
3) Kindness Potion - another rare win for events, that would allow users to shift their grel's kindness 1 step up or down.

not sure if this counts as a rule? but instead of just the ears changing when a grel is owned, add text that says "adopt me" somewhere, because I feel that the ear position is a bit easy to miss.

I feel they're nice to give a little background on the temperment of the grel, but overall there's no real reason that anyone really pays attention or cares about them

Dapple Greys are always beautiful.
Would it count to add in a possibility for like... blazes? On the skull, I know that might not work... but perhaps rather than showing up on the skull, it would appear on the mane.
Blood bays are beautiful, and I think having more of them would work amazingly well in this species.
Oh, oh yeah, possibly something with a chimeric coat? That would be awesome.
Definitely, also difficult, but a flea-bitten would look amazing.
I'm always one for more Appaloosas though.
Can do more dapples, doing just blaze small color change are okay but not into colored skulls. Can release more blood bays/bays, Chimera Designs maybe yeah sure, flea bitten shouldn't be to hard but can release some.

I actually don't think I've ever seen a Palamino, so some of those would be cool.
Not complete but could consider doing more. Pure Whites and Pure Blacks are actually going to be very rare and waiting to release much.. There are some Palominos but I do need to release more there may be plenty within the Roundup though as I'm sticking to mostly realistic coats with smaller amounts of unrealistic coats & strange patterns. I actually am considering them being different by bands (smaller groups of horses be like 5-10 in each.) This change is based on the new coming story. Their cursed land has stronger points of the curse that'll make different effects if that group or grel had gone there.

It would be really cool to have some sort of Dog Breed Event, where they have unnatural coats that look like those of dogs. So, like a German shepherd Grel, and a St. Bernard colored one.

I honestly love how the different kindness ratings affect the personality of the grels. I'm not sure if this is where it should go, but maybe eventually when everything has an established system, there could be a way of writing/drawing an event that could potentially change the kindness of your Grel, with certain standards needing to be met. And then it's just a RNG as to whether or not it actually changes the kindness, or just the way they act sometimes.
I've been working on the personality, it's on a new thread that'll be added when the story is. Personality & kindness change by +1 or -1 will be a coupon in future.

8. Give 3 Mutation Ideas. For +1 Roll.
Flop-eared mutation! Just a simple thing caused by weak cartilage, but it means the Grel is more hard of hearing.
Chimeric Grel- to where it had the option of producing one or the other if it breeds. Likely has a very small chance of passing down.
Fuzzy Mane mutation! Something sort of like a Zebra's mane, on top of the lion one might be cool.

Spine spikes- somehow the spine is poking through. Makes the Grel unridable.

I'm a little confused as to the wording of this.... but I'll answer what I think it's asking.
One of the biggest ones for me that I'd love to see would be Face Paint. It's not a passable thing, but maybe you have like 5 different designs- Celtic Swirls, Half Mask, etc.- and you allow people to pick out the colors for it? That would just be really cool to see.
And maybe, much harder to get, there would be body paint, which would be much the same as the face paint with some premade designs that the owner can choose the color of.
This was for ideas to pretty up the info threads, although making a new, thread for info, it hasn't much prettying done. There is also War Paint in which users can add cool designs or something that be in color in based on the grel and not permanent or effect breeding.

Okay, well one good thing (which I'm pretty sure you do), is always have a "hub" of sorts on the first post of the main page. That'll allow people to freely browse through any of the information available. Also, it might be helpful on the information thread if you make the post topics in color? It seems like a minor thing, but it would definitely help for them to appear more well-organized. It's a clear place to start and finish- who doesn't love that? Another option there would be to set up a "table of contents" in the first or second post of the info thread, that links directly to individual posts, so people can easily find what they want.
Also- I really loved how you showed the different items on grels in one of the events before, and I think that's really helpful. I know this is a lot of work, but maybe you could make an Item Thread? So, either it has posts with all the different Items, and the mascots wearing them as examples, or.... Well, I personally think it might actually work better if you made that double as a store thread.
So, you'd use a Color Me in, and do it repeatedly for the second one. You could list the items with their links to that example page if you wanted to, and also say how many tokens they might cost, or which are more exclusive. Then, you could post the "buying" and "equipping" forms onto the actual thread posts, so that you'd have a nice organized page where people can see examples of and use their items.

Holy cow, okay. This is difficult. Maybe- and this is a huge maybe- there could be a Decor event? So, you allow people to color, using one of the mascots, a bunch of different items that could possibly be used in the future. Maybe they have a max of like 3 entries though, so it's not too overwhelming. You could use this to help decide on what sort of Face/Body Paint designs are available as well. And at the end, once their chosen, the winners get to have the Decor they created for free, to be applied to a Grel of their choosing. But, to make sure everyone is tempted to enter, there would also be a Raffle at the end of the Event, based on how many Decor entries a person made. So if they made three, while another made only one, the might have a higher chance of winning. This Raffle would probably be for a Very special Grel which could be equipped with any one of the Decor Items that was newly created, as well as some token prizes for the other entries.

Curly fur mutation- hard to draw, but would inevitable be [i]adorable. Also, same thing for extra long fur. And maybe a "third eye" sort of thing? Not actually a third eye, but a crack in their skull which the eye glow escapes through. And it's only a real mutation because if they were to ever be caused a crack/opening in their skull that large, it would likely kill them. Definintely seems like a good idea to start with the "What are Grels" info. Then, "How They Came to Be" would be good. After that, though, you'd want all the adopting rules. Rules would be nice to have close to the top, and clearly readable, so maybe on their own post.
I also love how you set up all the breeding ratios and info, but also know that nuch information can be a little daunting to a casual oberver, so maybe organize that under a second post as "Artist Information" or something similar.
Organizing is in the progress, and relinking things also be done through out threads when story is released..

1. Allow Items to be bought, permanently. It would also help to have the item thread for this, as people know exactly what they're getting, and aren't as likely to forget about them.

3. Maybe do a few more grels which can be bought for tokens? I understood why you wouldn't at first, but like the more special grels for high number of tokens was really cool.
4. Grel Items! Not like equippable, but like special breeding items? So one that guarentees twins, or increases the chance of a mutation passing by 10%. Those would probably be popular.
5. Have like a weekly/monthly raffle thing? Where it's a mutie grel or something with a special pattern, and you have to use 20 tokens to enter, but the catch is that you could only enter once a day? So people would have to keep coming back to enter. THis would also help because even if you don't have enough to buy a mutated grel regularly, you can still have a chance for the cheap raffle entry. So, it'll keep motivation going, and keep people coming back.
If I added to many premade items to the main color in, it'll crowd it to much to the point it'll take long to load, save, and located things. So premades stick within events only and there are coupons for items people can order and have made as specially for their Grelifcent. I could consider events that people write stories or do art for their own and win tokens yeah simple. Yeah true on 3, I've been trying to be sure there are a variety of payment or free. I totally agree with those who have said there needs to be some sort of adoption limit - one Grel per day, maybe two or three per week, max - to slow down the adoptions. I keep the archive, so I know who has what, and some herds are getting a bit on the large side. My own included. X'D
An adoption limit would make people think harder about what Grels they choose to apply for, and would ensure that more people have a shot at more Grels, even those who live in different time zones!

Very True there are sometimes limits if events, but there are even with no limits still grels up for awhile. So may make rules around.

Though this horse with a horse on his neck is supposed to be real. ;D

I like the kindness ratings - as others have said, they help me to develop the personalities of my Grels. The gradual change from one level to the next is interesting, and you can really see a shift across the board. The only complaint I have is that some of the things alluded to could stand to be elaborated on slightly.
With all the work you're/we're doing on the story and background of the Grels, the ratings should take on a new dimension, too! ;D

1) HAIRLESS. Because I love bald animals, and I would KILL for a bald Grel. Yes, hairless horses exist. Now, that being said, NFS is a harmful mutation in real horses, and those animals born with it live extremely shortened lives. So maybe Grels exhbiting th trait should be sterile..? They're already magical zombies, so I doubt the condition itself would harm them much, but there should be SOME concession. Maybe they're weak and fragile, so can't be shown for the sake of their health?
2) Cloven hooves (as in- three toes, because Grels already have the two). That is all. ^o^
3) An elongated mane that goes down their back and runs all the way down to their butt/base of the tail.

Could consider some not sure if wanna do edits on hooves not the best yet with hooves.

1) FIVE tails? I know four is technically the max, but that's an un-mutated thing. Maybe five tails could even be seen as 'unlucky'?
2) Bony ridges on the skull - like, an accumulation of extra bone. Could vary in severity from a couple little nobs to massive rises.
3) Extra skin - anything from sherpei-like wrinkles to the kind of iguanna-like flaps and frills you did on my Nera, Monk. ^o^
4) Extra eyes - either in/on the skull, or located someplace on the body.
5) Translucent skin/fur - could be really cool, but could also be a lot of work to pull off.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but when looking at various Grel threads and the way you've set them up, I've noticed that you have a tendency to center everything and have done. Which is fine - centering definitely makes for tidy lists - but it's also good to mix things up once in a while. I personally like to use the 'list' code (which is how I've indented things in this very post), and combining the 'left', 'center', and 'right' codes can make the layout of info in a thread more interesting to look at, especially when there are images involved, as some others have suggested. The use of quote boxes to segregate different chunks of info and the inclusion of different sizes of text can also look nice. It just depends on how much info you have, what KIND of info you have, and what sort of style you're going for. ;D

Any ideas you have that could look better in the new threads just edit in a quote and send in code to me in PM and I can give it a try!

For this upcoming Halloween - I was thinking something along the lines of that one Nera event you helped to organize: Costumes! A special batch of Trick-or-Treat Grels could be created, their entire form hidden by a costume so that people aren't sure what they really look like. Each one could also come with an item, wrapped in a bundle or hidden in a trick-or-treat sack so it can't be identified. For the length of the event, these Grels and their loot would be open to forms, and adoption could be managed in a number of ways, just to keep things interesting: could be short personality/story competitions, raffles, flatsales, what-have-you!
At the end, all the Grels would be reveled. But not the items. Not right off!
See, the item should only be revealed after a person has decided to keep their Grel for good, and has formally posted to say as such. For those who don't like what turned out to be under the costume, though, there would be a special section of the event where people could either trade Grels - and their attached items - to other users, or 'sell' their Grels back to the agency for a guaranteed item/token amount. Kind of like a Deal or No Deal situation. ^o^
Grels that are 'sold' back to the agency would then be put back up for adoption - sans their special item - and the original owner could not reapply.

1) I agree with Kurokawa's ideas of a Marking Transfer item and a Fertility Potion items - they sound like great ways to help people get exactly what they want out of a breeding, and parallel items I've seen in other species. 2) reygankiwi's 'Sleipnir' mutation idea is really cool. I think it could add an extra level of cool to an already cool creature. I also like their 'draft feathering' idea. I love draft horses. ^o^
3) Yuroshi's 'Flop Ear' mutation has already gotten love - I'll give it more. It's just a cute idea.

2) AnimalAtHeart's comment about the ears forward/ears back being easy to miss is a valid one, though the BG is also an indicator of if the Grel is adopted or not - a BG means it's up for adoption, no BG means it's not. It couldn't hurt to add an 'adopt me' sign too? Just for people unfamiliar with the species? It would be easy enough to take off when changing the ears post-adoption. ^.^
3) Nanorat's idea of limiting certain kinds of events to Grels with certain kindness levels is super interesting, and makes sense. I think it could make future events more dynamic.
4) Nanorat's Rescue event idea, because I enjoyed the one we had back when the Neravontii community was alive and well.
5) Kurokawa's suggestion for Grels with 'lacing' markings. One of the pictures I linked above is actually OF a horse with this marking.

17. 3 Item Ideas, 1 Event or Series/Theme Idea, and 3 Mutation Ideas. For +1 Roll.

Event/series/theme Idea: A series of 'palate' adopts, all using the same colour palate employed in different ways.

3 Item Ideas:
'marking color changer' would change the color of a single marking on the body of the Grel.
'Animal companion' like the already-existing insect companion, but mammal-style.
'Bell Boots' that look just like the real life ones, and maybe boost your Grel's endurance stat during a show? As long as they're wearing them. Take them off, and the boost goes away. So the boost isn't genetic.

3 MORE Mutation ideas: an 'inversion' gene, not expressed by the Grel that carries it, but possible to pass to foals. It would cause said foals to have INVERTED colors. So, basically, do the design, based on the parents, then hit the 'invert colors' button. ;D
Different shaped ears - like bat ears, longer ears, rounder ears, shorter ears, rabbit-type ears... you know. Different ears.
Inability to collect souls - more a disability then anything else. Maybe a Grel could be born/made with the inability to take souls from other creatures? I know the mechanic isn't very useful right NOW, but in the future, something like this could be an interesting plot/lore device.

The back-story and history stuff should definitely be first, as it introduces the species and gives it a solid base to build on. Second should be the kindness levels, as they're very important to Grels as a whole. Third should be info on mutations. The info about shows, the new 'stat points' FOR the shows, and tack should come next. Then maybe link to the item thread/item usage thread.
Personally, I think the breeding info should be in the Nursery, maybe in the first or second post. There's no need for it to be in the info thread too, and putting it ONLY in the info thread makes it a bit hard to find. It would be much more accessible in the nursery itself.

I've got a post saved with info for the new breeding thread stored in another post on the old that'll be transferred over. I'll work on things more when we get the story in and new threads linked.
