idea [subject to change, i have too many lol]:
o she is the mermaid that drowned. when you think of a fallen angel, you think of a angel that was once pure. holy even.
the term can be applied to her, but she is the 'fallen angel' of the sea. when she was born, she named herself after a blue bird that had lost its way out to sea and collapsed into the depths of the marine. she had found its feathers, a light shade of azure upon the rolling waves of navy, and from then on called herself chimalus. she was the mother of sea beasts, [kraken, leviathan] and was the evil of the ocean. mermaids avoided her, but the ones she caught, she turned into sirens. she told them to sing 'like a bluebird' and so was their song, so lethal and deadly.
but, as her rule began to grow, so did her hunger. she wished for legs, to walk on land and breathe air that was soon to be conquered.

so, setting across the ocean, she no later found the magic she needed. a witch sat in the depths of the mariana trench, promising her a crown upon land. she accepted the magic, but with a price she was blind to see.
'you can no longer dwell in the ocean, chimalus. you're bound to land, as you wished.'
the witch laughed and sank into the depths of the water, leaving a now stranded chimalus on the coast of a rocky shore.
