+ Energetic + Curious + Intelligent + Friendly - Stubborn - Fixated - Proud - Rash
Avery is a young energetic horse. They love being on the move and don't really care to stand around for too long. Incredibly curious they are always looking to learn something new or go on another 'adventure'. They enjoy meeting new people, but worry how they might come across. Being gender fluid some days they feel more feminine and others more masculine. Their pronoun preference is also ever evolving. They worry others won't understand or will be confused but are patient when explaining. They enjoy being with their friends and is a social butterfly. Going along with Avery's curiosity they can become hyper fixated on a subject. When this happens they want to learn everything they can or master that skill. Usually they will have rotating interests that will catch their attention for them to fixate on. When an idea comes to their mind they will act on it rather than think it all of the way through and can be hard to sway. They are stubborn and will fight for their ideas and how they think things should be done. They aren't completely uncooperative, but they are not shy about expressing themselves. Avery is also a very proud horse. Though not to the point of thinking others are beneath them they have a hard time admitting their faults. If every in a fight they won't back down easily and will be slow to apologize, but when they do it will be genuine.
Likes: Thunderstorms, Snow, Jumping, Exploring, Being with Friends
Dislikes: Heat, Being in her Stall, Being Alone, Ignorance
Avery's closest non equine companion is a little scrub jay. They befriended the curious bird when they were a foal. They enjoyed following the little bird around and seeing where it cached all of its food for later. They also found the puzzle solving corvid fascinating. The bird liked the foals curiosity and yearning for adventure. Throughout Avery's foal hood the two went on many 'adventures' through the pasture and now that they are older the pair are content to be in each others company, with a few mischievous trips now and again.
Avery was young when they realized they were different. Being biologically female they new there were certain expectations set aside for them. Some days they felt close to the fillies, enjoying their company and doing as they do. But there became days were they felt disconnected from them. Those days they ran with the colts. They enjoyed the colts boisterous fun and rough housing. They'd rather be considered a colt, but others called them a filly. They weren't sure where they fit; not completely one or the other. As days and months went by they came to the realization that their view of their gender was fluid and though it was a tricky topic to explain to others they stated their revelation proudly.
