Whiskey had to be hard on him as a young colt cracking down with punishments when ever needed, and it fostered a resentment in Drogo, but as he aged he learned why Whiskey had done what she had in his younger years because he honestly had been the worst. With understanding that resentment turned into respect and he started learning more from Whiskey as he spoke to her on a more regular occassion and for longer periods of time. She eventually became the mother he thought he would never have and one of the only things he would die protecting.
