Cricket held the smooth, honey-colored stone in their paw, studying the organism that once lived inside with a curious glint in their eye. Once they were finished with the peculiar stone, they set it down, wandering to a different spot in the room - a brilliant and complex skeleton of a beast that once roamed the very land they stood on. Their paws skimmed across the ivory color of the bones gently, looking at the being in complete awe, wondering what it would have looked like in the past. From there they went to the window, resting their head against the sill as they gave a heavy sigh, looking at the green scenery outside. Cricket was a bit odd, they felt connected to nature, but at the same time, they didn't. What they enjoyed immensely was prehistoric nature, not finding the current natural world to be satisfying (and rather boring, for that matter). They wanted to see giant bugs fly about, beasts fight with one another, unknown creatures of the deep blue, and lands covered in ferms... Cricket gave another sigh as they looked back at the skeleton. "Maybe one day..."

Vinny sighed gently as he unlatched the cage. Taking the small hummingbird laid out in front of him, he quickly banded the little bird and wrote down the number in his notebook. Small female hummingbird, looks to be about a year and a half old. He smiled. That's the second hummingbird I've tagged today ... Vinny felt as if Mother Nature herself was smiling down on him today. Him and his team have been collecting data on this population for a few years now, trying to eliminate a disease that had been taking hold of the little birds. Not a lot of people know about his job and what he does for a living, but this was a place where he came to relax. It's not all about the money, but rather his strong connection to this area he grew up around. Vinny has always been a very shy person and preferred to spend his time with the animals. Even as a child, he didn't speak his first word until he was 5 years old, and doesn't really spend much social interaction with other kids his age. He was as quiet and innocent as the gentle forest.

- Flinch loved to observe the way nature looks and behaves, but from behind a glass window.

- Since he was a cub he had a bug fear, now he can't bring himself to step outside.

- Friends try to entice him to come outside, he's too afraid, insists he's content indoors. He's lost many friends because of fear.

- He's had enough. Slowly but surely he exposes himself to bugs.

- He ventures outside his home, breathing starts to increase, he runs forward blindly.

- Crashes into someone, opens his eyes, sees another Kalon. Flinch helps her up. "I-I'm very sorry.. Are you hurt?" he apologizes, reluctantly tells her about his fear.

- She seems to understand. "Listen to my voice, I know you are scared. I'm going to help you walk ok?"

- She leads him back to his home.

- "I'm pathetic.. I'm sorry you had to do that.. I wanted to do this on my own and get better faster but I couldn't.." Flinch apologizes.

- "Maybe don't try to do this alone anymore. Please let me help you?" she says.

- "Maybe I don't have to be scared anymore? Maybe I don't have to be alone anymore? Maybe I will be ok." Flinch thought to himself.
