about Ace;
Ace is a sable white Shetland sheepdog. He’s turning 6 this year. He was 6 months old when we bought him from a pet store. He was our first dog and my entire family was still a little new to caring for a dog. We’ve never gotten a dog his size since our dad only has a Pom and a toy poodle both of which are small compared to him.
I initially wanted a Shiba inu but after looking at him, something just clicked and boom. Soon enough, we were already preparing everything for him.
personality;
As a puppy, he was whiny and bratty. Very vocal pupper but I love him to bits. Before he was toilet-trained, he wasn’t allowed to wonder the house at night, only the kitchen where his bed and necessities are. So every night, we go through a process of which he actually screams and cry whenever we were about to confine him to the kitchen. My sister and I had to just sit outside and comfort him until he quietens down and sleep.
As he got older, we came to realise, for a dog that ranks 6th in intelligence, he has his dumb, adorable moments too. Sure he can nail down new tricks pretty quickly, which was a big plus because our relatives always get impressed by it. But he trips over his own legs and have walked into walls, tables and doors on many occasions. (Don’t worry, he’s fine. I promise.)
However, since we got him till now, there’s one thing everyone knew about him very quickly. He’s a glutton. He loves food, whether it’s for him or not. Whenever anyone decides to snack on biscuits/fruits/anything in general, he’d come running, rest his head on your lap and give you puppy eyes.

Inspiration for design: ANOTHER ADORABLE FLOOF BALL OMG I CAN'T!!! <3 <3 <3 Like with ty's Rosie, all that floof meant I had to make Ace a Gypsy Vanner too! I did change up the floof however, giving it a more windswept look to give him his own, unique style, plus I feel there's a more playful feel too it (like those cute derp photos you posted, OMG SO CUTE!!!) Being another sable Sheltie he has the same base coat as Rosie- pangaré bay. The black sable markings appeared to by much stronger on Ace, so I was almost tempted into making him a sooty horse. However since he doesn't have too much black on his back I decided to keep it localized to his mane. As for the white markings I was initially going to go with tobiano again, however looking at all the photos I noticed Ace's Irish spotting was more concentrated on his paws and underside, and he didn't have a white collar reaching to the back of his neck. Because of this I opted for minimal sabino, to get those jagged edges in as well as to keep the white to his belly and legs. All-in-all I had a lot of fun designing this little floofer, so thank you for giving me the chance Darkest!!! <3

This has been my little project since Sunday, I've really enjoyed coming home from work to add more and more details each day. Plus I got to look at pictures of one of the cutest little fuzzballs I've ever seen, which was a massive bonus. Thank you so much for letting me do this again, Darkest!!! <3

Oh.My.God. He’s beautiful *-* I love how detailed you were with this!! He looks amazing! You even nailed the little white tip on his tail and EVEN HIS LITTLE IRISH SPOTTINGS a little funny thing, I didn’t know they were called Irish spottings until about a year or so ago so I kept calling them socks lmao :’) I’m-ugh. I love you Immy <3 His mane looks amazing too! You even drew a smol Ace by his name. I think this might be my favourite CWHR. Once again, thank you!
