Ao Guang was not a name known by many. When he was born, it was a different world. Viscets were scarce, their species only beginning to climb in population as the war between wolves and dragons brought forth space and opportunity. For you see, the world Ao Guang was born in was not an easy one. The land was devastated by heartache as brothers fought and species lay divided. Queen Friday did the best she could to ensure the protection of those not involved in the warfare but as the young viscling watched his parents brutally murdered before him, he knew her efforts were in vain. These were dragons he was facing and, alone, he was no match for their strength... but you see what young Ao guang lacked in strength, he made up for it in intellect. His dragon like patterning allowed him to blend in among the dragons, bringing many to think he was simply a wolf/dragon hybrid. While the dragons looked down upon the newly orphaned viscling, the wolves welcomed him into their ranks. He was raised by the other hybrids, trained to use his magic to the best of his potential and when he became of age, he was invited by the queen to be a part of the treaty.
Of course, Ao guang could have never predicted the leader of the dragons to be a mighty eastern dragon, calm and wise despite his young age. King Kyru was quick to notice Ao Guang, reaching out to the young viscet and teaching him the way of the dragon as well. Then, tragedy struck. The royal adviser murdered one of the dragon keepers of the treaty, blaming it on the wolves and threatening the peace once more. Rising to the call, Ao Guang stood up against the adviser and his corrupt companion, a wolf demoness by the name of Hell's Angel. It was in this fight that Ao Guang first found those like himself, several viscets, Igneous and Autumn. While they could see his true identity, the pair kept silent. To this day, Ao Guang finds himself owing them a great debt for their restraint.
Together, Ao Guang, Igneous, Autumn, King Kyru, Queen Friday, and a young dragon called Cyber, the granddaughter of the murdered elder, rose to stand against the demon and the Advisers army. They had discovered a seal, one that would banish Hell's Angel from their world forever and protect the generations of the future. Of course, they never expected the costs of such a soul. With so few viscets in the world, the loss of young Autumn impacted all. However, as for Ao Guang who looked to the other as not only a companion but a friend who he could trust with nearly anything? He broke. Soul shattered and hopes dashed, Ao Guang took what was collected of the seal and fled, abandoning his duties and his life in order to ensure none would have to face such a tragedy again.
The trees bow down and give their leaves.
I humbly accept their offerings of peace.
The years wore on and changed my heart,
The leading role for a smaller part.
Now I bear little resemblance to the king I once was.
I bear little resemblance to the king I could become.
Maybe paper is paper, maybe kids will be kids.
But Lord, I want to remember how to feel like I did.
'cause I bear little resemblance to the king I once was.
I bear little resemblance to the king I could become.
Maybe paper is paper, maybe kids will be kids.
But Lord, I want to remember how to feel like I did.
I set out to rule the world
With only a paper shield and a wooden sword.
I set out to rule the world
With only a paper shield and a wooden sword.
No mountain dare stand in my way,
Even the oceans tremble in my wake.
The tide is brave, but always retreats.
Even the sand, it cowers under my feet.
My kingdom towers above it all,
While I sleep safe and sound in my cardboard walls.
Now I bear little resemblance to the king I once was.
I bear little resemblance to the king I could become.
Maybe paper is paper, maybe kids will be kids-
Lord, I want to remember how to feel like I did.
So I draw my sword with the morning sun,
I summon the moon as soon as the day is done.
The clouds march on, on my command.
Even the rain, it falls according to plan.

Years have passed now and here he rests, an ancient dragon isolated from society and ignorant to the happenings of the world. He abandoned his people in heartache with ththe hope to forget about the past though, it would seem the past hasn't forgotten about him. He felt them before he saw them. Beings of darkness, demons who's souls were infused with the same darkness he had fled from. He knew what they had come for and pulling the book of seals closer to himself, he knew he would have to fight to escape. He had little fear however. You see Ao Guang's magic was an ancient kind, born from the era of dragons and wolves. Though isolated, he had seen the... dilution of modern magics. The magic of this time was impure, rising with not only greater chances of corruption but gaining this instability itself from the corruption within the hearts of the people who wield it. Ao Guang knew this and showed no fear when facing the demons. In all truth, he felt slightly offended as he gazed into the mischievous eyes of Khandura. They sent an underling to take the seals? How foolish could these demons be?
So Guang however was ignorant of the truths in this situation. While yes, his magic may be purer, that did not mean it was any weaker than the magics inside of hells angel herself, a magic granted to Khandura in order to achieve his mission. The demons faced off against the dragon like viscet, quickly overpowering the weakened elder. Ao Guang was in shock. His pride had been crushed, shoved into the ground just like his trembling form and left for dead. As he began to fall into unconsciousness, the last sight he saw was the grinning face of Dura as he pried the seal book away from the elders limp hands.
When he woke once more, he quickly registered the muttered curses as a voice drew closer. "We were too late! They already got the seals." Lupine kneeled before the elder, patting gently on his face in hopes to rouse him. Cyrus placed angrily behind the gray cet while Fauna frowned in frustration. "Are you sure you saw the demons steal the book?" Fauna asked but at the look of indignation from the pps, she quickly fell silent. "My crystal allows me to see into the future, even if only for a glimpse. I assure you, the demons have the book. We were too late." Seeing little response from the dragon, Lupines face shifted to one of concern. "He's hurt and needs medical attention." Lupine pulled Ao Guang up and over his shoulders, allowing his arms to dangle in front of Lupine as he carried the elders weight. With this, Ao Guang found his thoughts fading once more.
The next time he regained consciousness, he would be able to comprehend what he was seeing. A crystal viscet and a blue femail with a starry pattern adorning her feathers. Altaira nodded at his awakening, giving him a kind smile. "Welcome back. We're glad to see you awake." Feeling a sense of fear at the strangers, Ao Guang cursed his pride and ignorance for leading him to this situation. "What fools we sometimes can be. Born into a world where strength lies not in our hearts rather our abilities." The room was nearly silent as Kamali spoke. "However, the world now is much different from the world then. We have built a home where the mutated can live peacefully amongst the average and where being different is normal. Now an ancient power has returned at with it comes risk to our home. We need your help. Lift up your sword once more and fight, join us against the demoness and help us end this, once and for all." Ao Guang looked towards kamalis outstretched arm with trepidation. However Ao Guang found himself believing the crystal guardians words. Ao Guang has made any mistakes in his past and maybe, just maybe, this was the first step on the road to redemption.
