Inspiration for design: OH MY GOODNESS WHAT AN ADORABLE FLOOFER!!!

<3 <3 <3 With all that wonderful floof I just had to make Rosie a GV- a smol draft bean with tonnes of FLOOFFFF!!! Now it was hard to pick a base coat. I knew I wanted to go for a light bay to match her fawn coat, but how was I to incorporate the sable? I was initially going to go with sooty dappling, but I felt that would be going to dark for sable. I was really struggling to find a way to make her dorsal side dark enough to look like canine sable, but not so dark it could be mistaken for a saddle marking. I began flicking through pictures of bay horses for inspiration until I came across a series of Exmoor pony photos. Therein lay the solution: pangaré. The top half of their coats were regular bay, but their undersides were pale, almost an exact match to Rosie's fawn coat! It was perfect!!! As for incorporating her Irish spotting, tobiano seemed to most logical solution to go with. I toyed with the idea of adding some splash in, but since Rosie didn't have that much white on her belly, I didn't think it was needed. So voilà, one pangaré bay tobiano baby!
~~~
I hope I got the right amount of white for her deary, especially with regards to the tail. I know some Shelties do have white tail tips and some don't, so let me know if I got it wrong for Rosie!
I hope that you like her deary! ^u^ <3
Breeding Ref. for Artists: see above [NB- pangaré genetics are unknown, chances of throwing pangaré bay/chestnut foals is unknown]
