a secret is a very precious thing to some. something that one desires to never be recited again. a phrase that is only to be engraved in one's mind, and one to never leave the muzzle again once spoken. a secret can make or break someone's reputation, cause a spiral of gossip, cause the entire world of one person's life to come crumbling down. the nature of a secret is one to remain hidden, unknown, and difficult to comprehend simply, and even more difficult to comprehend thoroughly.

the tied string;;

neither of the strings represent personal experiences, but arlin has crafted a philosophy to represent the strings. each loop of the tied string represents two nagas, herself and an unspecific friend. the core of the string represents the secret. the secret is in the center, as it represents a common thing that the two nagas know, and regardless of how the tied string is positioned, the secret still remains in the center, between the two loops. this represents how a secret is supposed to remain between two people; the person telling and the person told.

the broken string;;

the broken string has one side that is curling, and the other fading off into the right flank. the two pieces of the broken string represent two separate things. the curling side represents the person that told the secret, retreating into their own individual place after their secret has been told. the center of the string is the curl, which represents what was once a secret, now something that more than two people know. the fading string to the right is representing the friend who has told the secret and broken the promise.
