    what is their favorite element on the periodic table and why?; It has to be Carbon, really. Carbon forms so very many bonds, and is one of those staple elements in the understanding of both chemistry and organic chemistry. Ashton finds great fascination in how bonds within the body work, and how carbon rings make up different chemical compounds that give us anything from glucose to dopamine.

    It seems like such a simple element, one so often overlooked on the periodic table because obviously everyone knows carbon! Come on, everyone knows that whole row. And sure Nitrogen and Oxygen are also really cool, but it's those carbon rings that make up almost everything inside of him. <3

    what is their favorite element on the periodic table and why?;
    Jimmy’s favorite element has to be Hydrogen, did you know that most stars have a trace of Hydrogen in them? Hydrogen actually makes most of the stars in our universe up.
    Jimmy is a scientist, but is more an astronomer. When studying the stars in our sky and the footprints they leave behind in our universe, he discovered that Hydrogen is in every star.
    He loves space, but he loves hydrogen more, because it makes up space.

    And so, Nobel discovered uranium at the young age of too young to be talking to strangers online, according to his grandmother.

    The least lame metal, in his opinion. Most metals were on thin ice, the fact they made nonmetals negatives by giving them their electrons didn't flow with him.
    What a bunch of jerks.

    Uranium (even if it was a metal) was pretty cool. And important.
    It had a whole series of elements fall under a new category, just for having atomic numbers greater than 92. The transuranic elements.

    Also, apparently it had a ton of military uses. Not that Nobel cared, but it was something to note.

    Of course uranium was his favourite.

    What? Nobelium? No, no. There was no way nobelium would be his favourite. It was practically useless, and impossible to find in nature. It sounded like helium with 'nobel' slapped on top if it. Dumb synthetic element, he would call it.

    And that would sound kinda narcissistic.

    what is their favorite element on the periodic table and why?;
    Malachite has always found krypton to be the most interesting element in the periodic table. Whilst he enjoys learning about other elements he always feels a strong draw towards krypton. He likes that it was discovered partially by accident and that it was named after the Greek word “krypto” meaning ‘hidden’; something he feels he does himself. He believes he relates to this element in many ways; krypton is rarely found on earth and Malachite believes that sometimes he isn’t found either, and that he’s ignored, almost like a ghost.

    what is their favorite element on the periodic table and why?; Caspian’s favourite element on the periodic table is quite a simple one. The first one you see - the first you get taught - the easiest to remember. Have you guessed what element it is yet? Hydrogen! Now here’s why. Hydrogen is in most things, right? Air, water, he literally can not live without it. He finds the element’s name quite a fun one to say, ‘Hydrogen’, like some kind of dragon, or a sea monster! Hydrogen is the lightest element on the periodic table, why is this important? Well, when Caspian is upset over something, he likes to imagine he is as light as Hydrogen, floating without anything to keep him down. That everyone could not live without him in some way whether they liked it or not, that even though he is only a small part of this world, some people do notice him, and care about his existence. This gives him comfort, and that’s what keeps him going, and why he loves the element of Hydrogen so much. [ max 300 words ]

Favourite Periodic Element and Why:
No. 33 on the periodic table is arsenic. Poisonous, especially to humans, it can cause
severe damage to an individual, and even death. However, Spume still finds it interesting.
What is it that makes this element so dangerous? It's in other lifeforms and even in some food,
so why can it be so dangerous and deadly, too? It puzzles him, but he would love to find out why.
Maybe it's because it can also be found as just a simple rock. Maybe it's because humans are able
to refine it somehow. Perhaps it's just all in the dose?
Whatever the reason, Spume still finds arsenic fascinating.
Plus, it's also a fun word to say.
