relationship with friend || vesperia was out stargazing one night as usual when he saw an incoming object falling down quite dangerously close to the hill hes always at during night. barely dodging by jumping seconds from disaster, he peaked behind a conveniently placed and sized rock. what he saw in front of him was a cat- from space. white all over besides what looked to be a sort of goopy substance dripping from the end of its tail. what is this strange creature? he thought to himself. when he approached it, it weakly got up, with a soft mew. "h-hello?" vesperia said, "are you okay?" another soft meow from this odd cat, and it stumbles over into vesperias arms, purring. "u-um." the small white creature looked up at him, and then vesperia could see this cat had no eyes. "oh, you poor thing." the cat tilted its head, then spoke. "if you be my eyes, ill give you the key to the universe." vesperia blinked. its voice sounded almost ghostly. "wh-what? key to the universe?" questioned vesperia. "do you not dream of seeing the stars and galaxies up close?" the creature replied, "ive lost my eyes, fallen down to this planet, and chosen you." vesperia was utterly shook(eth). "i... would love that, not really... gonna question much, but, how did you lose your eyes and.... what... what would i be your eyes for?" the creature gazed at him with what looked to be soulless eyes. "there are many secrets of this universe that some beings may not know, and should not know. perhaps they may not be able to handle them upon discovery, but perhaps maybe, just maybe they wont go seeking them out only to barely escape with their life. im probably just an ordinarily looking creature of your planet to you, but im much more then that. as i said before, be my eyes, and ill give you the key to the universe. travel amongst the stars, planets and galaxies. be closer to the stars then you ever imagined you could be. ill protect you through any dangers, as long as youll be my eyes." vesperia stared at the feline for several minutes, before looking up to the stars. "what shall i call you?" vesperia said, still gazing at the stars. "call? oh, you mean, a name, o assume. im not familiar with those, ive never used one." "...so i get to name you too. okay, marshmallow, youve got a deal. just one more question- whats with the tip of your tail?" vesperia questioned, reaching to try to touch it. "oh, that? it does many things, it takes me to different spots in space, can make sure you can breathe- and fly, you can store things in it.... and it also... will give you the key to the universe." as marshmallow said the last part, vesperia had already reached into the tail, grabbing the key. vesperias eyes widened, the key with a chain loop already around it, he put it around his head. "so, vesperia, bearer of little questions and an endless imagination of curiosity, are you ready?" vesperia, holding the key in front of his eyes, replied lately, "i.. i never told you my name... how did y-" "as i said... there are many secrets of this universe that some beings may not know... but there is also many that i happen to know." marshmallow bumped his head against vesperias cheek, then swished the tip end of his tail against the ground, creating some sort of glowing diagram, then swished his tail to touch vesperias head, transporting them into the unknown. from that day on, they explored the vast universe, vesperia being marshmallows eyes as marshmallow was vesperias key to the universe
