Elline doesn't love anything or anyone. She's too tired to love anything anymore. After her heart has been broken millions of times, she can't handle it, and she can't bring it to continue to have love as a feeling in her being.

Everyone believes that she must have some kind of love in her life, some kind of activity, or at least someone like her mother or siblings, but Elline hasn't been able to feel anything for a while now.

Is it sad? To others, absolutely. But to Elline, who hasn't even been able to recognize any emotion? Perhaps not.

they scare many, but florence? not at all. the pitter-patter of rain lulls him to
