is a word full of hope , a word desired yet envied simultaneously
i am & i am not - i am the beginning of all forms of beauty
though , i ponder the true definition , even of my existence
what is true beauty , and is everything beautiful on it's own ?

i've found myself thinking more like them , though they were never here first
it's quite simple ; i had maintained the world's beauty for years , it's everlasting thirst
the desire of pure and utter beauty in every little detail
i , of course , attempted it many times . . trial , error , attempt , fail .

it's a hard concept to grasp ahold of , a wispy transparent and non - definite concept
one of no true meaning in anything , yet everything , except ;
there is one poison to all beauty , to all hope , to all beginnings ;
greed and envy , the end of all extravagant things .

when they had arrived i found it rare to find beauty in them
symmetry gone down the drain , i had found myself condemned
cut off to any further interaction after i had discovered their purpose
to destroy the effort i had put into our land , corrupted with cupidity and nervelessness


it had all officially begun , i told my immaculate entities to fret not
of this situation at hand ; to simply lay dormant 'til it was dealt .
relief was far gone , any hope and little of beauty left
my people and i had no choice but to set adrift .

silence . silence .
silence to suffice as a hazy , dark blanket
covering up what was once beauty
as the world raved on in an ugly sensation .

we would not wake yet , but something hummed
a light , curious thing - resembling all of what we were
but not us , instead , surprisingly ,
another being on the outside .

we rise .

though , instead of a beautiful , shocking ,
surprising and world - shattering reveal
we did not change anything . nothing we did effected anything .
i wondered , ' why ? '

our breath had grown stale , a stangant reminder remaining in the minds
of those who not only had beauty in theirselves ,
but rather confided in beauty of others who don't believe they do
and that is when i realized ;

i was not needed any longer .
they had achieved something i would never in my entire being .
something i thought only i could shed light on , for the others who didn't -
self - realization and pure , holy beauty .


little by little , the tides had pulled away at my cliff
and crumbled it into trillions of bits weathered into the shore .
for well over a millennium the ocean had been gnawing at the cave ,
indenting the dark and musty cove , and creating quite the sight .

the rocks had long been standing , lines of new layers plastered onto the sides ,
painting a plethora of minerals for all to see .
and so the current ripped at ruins , rugged and jagged cone-like rocks
hanging from the ceiling , and new sand flowing out to join the sea .

it was different than i had remembered , less of a ..
memorable place .
but instead of seeing its flaws , i saw the beauty inside
something i'd have to learn to do , that'd never be easy .

i shall reside here and wait for society to not only find me ,
but to find the beauty in theirselves .
