Genevieve- "Oh, Ciel..! Yes, Genevieve and I are Ciel's adoptive parents," Blythe gives a warm, motherly smile before continuing, "We always have him over for dinner even now that he is grow, mainly because we're afraid he'll forget to feed himself if we don't feed him," she gave a soft giggle, leaning into Genevieve, "He's certainly a sweetheart, and it's a joy to have him around! We aren't his biological parents, of course, but love him as if he was out own, so he's certainly part of the family. It's also nice to have someone with a similar, soft personality like myself. I'm not good with crowds, and neither is he, so we go together particularly well, and it makes outings much easier when two can stand off to the side together," Genevieve gave a nod of agreement before adding her own input,
"Yes, and we are very proud of Ciel!" she chirped, eyes lighting up, "Even though he's all grown up, we're always happy to have him around. There's not much to add than what Blythe already did, but we did meet him several years ago, when he was still a kit. Blythe was actually the one who encouraged his artistic abilities - she does oil paintings, you see, and we would often keep Ciel for a weekend or so to give his late young parents a break. Blythe would have Ciel join her in painting, and he began drawing soon enough! It was a wonder he hadn't started sooner, but he had always been interested in different cartoons and storybooks, so I suppose either way it was just a matter of time. When he came to live with us permanently, he and Blythe made an art room for themselves, and I never saw them during the day except for meals," Genevieve chuckled, "But he's definitely Blythe's boy, through and through,"
Blythe and Genevieve, married, are Ciel's adoptive parents. When Ciel was in his teenage years, his father passed away, and his mother was having trouble with her health. The couple was close with Ciel's parents, and were more than happy to take the young Kalon under their wings. Now that Ciel is grown, he is off on his own, but always makes sure to come home to his mom's often! They even keep his room all tidy in case he wants to spend the night, and are very proud of the person their son has become. They always encouraged him to pursue his passions, and although they were a bit nervous to see how Ciel would do in the arts, they were relieved to find that his manga artist talents were well received.

Remus - "Ciel and I are great friends," the librarian's eyes sparkle as his tail swishes happily, calmly. It is obvious how he and Ciel get along, "He often comes to the library, and that's where we met. I saw him drawing one time, and since I was on my break, he let me sit and watch for a bit. It's very relaxing to watch, and he's a very impressive artist. I don't know how he does it! Anyway, it is definitely a mutual benefit... Ciel helps me with fundraisers at the library, including drawing signs and helping volunteer, and in return I help by ordering in new manga and making sure I hold it for him to read first," Remus chuckled, "So, we're great friends! Not mega close or anything, but it's always good to see him come into the library!"

Cassius - The Kalon's lip turns up into a snarl, his eyes narrowing at the mention of the mangaka's name, "Oh, that kid? He's awful. Honestly, I don't know how he got so popular," his eyes narrow and his tail swishes in frustration, "I write, you know? I do
real art, too, and I don't get half as much attention as he does. I'm striving to get better and better because of him, though, so I suppose my frustration and jealousy has at least one positive outcome... And I have nothing against Ciel personally. I'm just frustrated! He draws cartoons, for f*ck's sake, and makes nearly double I do, and doesn't even need a second job! How unfair is that?" The Kalon's eyes soften, however, and he averts his gaze, staring down at his paws as his tail slows, "But... I don't know, I guess I'm just frustrated. He's not actually a bad guy... we used to be really, really close before his parents passed, but when they did he shut me out. Then, when we were making progress again, he got popular and shut me out all over again," Cassius tried to hide a sniffle, "But whatever..."
