Gender: She-cat
Clan: SandclanWhy are they bored?: The day was hot and sunny, and the waves could be heard crashing against the shore. Applepaw sighed, looking at the sand as she walked along the beach. All she had been doing since she joined this
'clan' was helping Marigoldstar repair the camp, and she barely even got to do anything but watch her. She just kept being ordered to wait behind as her mentor did everything. All she wanted to do was jump into the waves at her side, and catch a fish to prove she could do whatever she wanted. However, Applepaw knew that if she did Marigoldstar would punish her, and she'd probably end up staying in camp for the rest of the day. Applepaw let out another huff, before bumping into Marigoldstar as she stopped suddenly.
"Are you going to keep huffing like a kit, or are you going to come and help me?" Marigoldstar said sharply, giving a glance back at Applepaw. Applepaw's fur bristled as she snapped back,
"I would stop huffing if you'd let me do something!" Marigoldstar turned her head away from Applepaw, and slowly began to walk forward once again.
Applepaw stood where she was, her fur still bristling as she let a hiss go out under her breath.
'Doesn't she know I can take care of myself?' Was the only thing she could think as she began to turn away from her mentor, walking back the way she came. Maybe she could find something else to do on her own. She suddenly yelped as she bumped into a tiny creature with pinchers, a crab. Before she could do something, a paw had quickly batted away the tiny creature, as well as shoving Applepaw out of the way.
Applepaw huffed as she hit the sandy floor, looking up at Marigoldstar standing beside her.
"You have yet to know the dangers of this island Applepaw, once you learn them you may help me." Marigoldstar said calmly, glancing down at Applepaw as she watched her get up. Applepaw nodded silently, looking at her paws as she walked behind Marigoldstar. That was the most exciting thing she had done since she got here, and yet her mentor still did everything for her.
Yet another day of watching and doing nothing, how boring this all was. (Word Count: 382)
