why you love it : i.. honestly don't know exactly why? I got this fella used from a thrift store when i was
about 7, I've had a hard time sleeping in a bed without him ever since. As a child, despite growing up in a ranch
town, I was never allowed a horse (understandably- i was too small and too underprepared) so i collected cheap
stuffed animals to displace that feeling. probably why i'm so attached to fluffy, hooved animals today.
but anyways! Oats was a beany baby and as such had a nice weight to him and wasn't too small or too
large for little old me to carry around. he had the cutest eyes that seemed to look at you, but not follow
you- so he was an imaginative 7 year old's best friend. i was also big on dolls and tea parties (usually in the back=
yard as i used the hose water for 'tea') and he sat the cutest on the doll chairs. but i guess i just really fell in love
with the fella? it seems criminal to imagine my life and room without him. so i guess that's why he's my favorite
plushie! we just clicked. ♡

I've had this stuffed animal for a very long time since I was still a baby. His name is Rae, probably because it says that on his belly. I used to take Rae everywhere, and if I left him behind I wouldn't be very happy. Whenever I couldn't find him, I would pout and search everywhere for him. I wouldn't go anywhere until I'd found him and if it was late then my parents would usually make me go to sleep. I always said I couldn't sleep without him, which is partly true because when I didn't have him I tried to stay awake all night. I remember once my older sister said to me "It's just a stuffed animal, you don't need it." I slapped her (because I was a mean kid) and started crying and screaming, "You hurt Rae's feelings!" until my mom made my sister apologize.
I also used to talk to him all the time, and tell him how he should be glad he's a stuffed animal. I'm not like that now, because I am older. But, I still will sometimes talk to him. I'll tell him about my day, I'll tell him things I really want to say but nobody else would listen to, and I tell him secrets I want to get off my chest. He's just always been special to me and he always will be, even when all of him has fallen apart.

why you love it : when i was a child i visited a wildlife park and my favourite animal was the lemurs, so my parents bought me a lemur teddy, and i've had it ever since. it's been with me for over a decade and it has immense sentimental value, that being said, it's not the one in the photo. i've collected many lemur teddies over the years, and one of my best friends sent me the one in the photo for my birthday and it's honestly the cutest lemur teddy i have and being from him makes it mean so, so much more to me. to this day my favourite animals are lemurs <3
