While Maplenose will eat just about anything that the clan catches, her favorite prey in their territory would, paws down, be the turkey the clan occasionally finds in their territory. It's a rare occurrence to find them anywhere near camp but usually once spotted, a hunting party will be sent out to try and take it down. While she herself has never been assigned to one, it always makes the clan excited and Maplenose shares in their excitement, not only because the clan will get a feast and she loves turkey but because she knows that it brings the clan closer together, creating better bonds at sharing something so rare together, from tracking and hunting it down to sharing the feast afterwards.

Hawk, yes hawk is her favourite prey, occasionally Shadepelt and her hunting patrol would come across a hawk and skilfully bring it down. Shadepelt says that hawk has the taste of mouse, fish and also squirrel, it’s delicious! Because Hawk being a rare catch for Sparrowclan is kind of considered a “delicatcy”.

Cherrypaw and Lizards

Being an apprentice, Cherrypaw has not been hunting for very long, but she already has a strong opinion about her favorite prey. She is particularly fond of the lizards that are so common within the rocky terrain of Fractureclan. When Cherrypaw was just a kit, she was mystified by the lizards' ability to lose their tails. In fact, this trait was so interesting to her that it took an entire moon before she was finally convinced that cats did not share this quality.
As an apprentice, Cherrypaw has been learning how to hunt lizards for herself. What was once an astounding anatomical quality became a challenge. Cherrypaw loves to hunt lizards more than any other prey, because she aspires to dispatch them before they can have a chance to break their tails away. She might not always manage it, but Cherrypaw never stops trying. This spirited youngster dreams of being a lizard-hunting champion who kills them cleanly every time.
