what was their first impression on you? :
Today I was excited. There's no denying that, but I was a bit nervous too. Today I would meet one of the new horses that I would be working with, and I have no clue what he is like. All I know is that he is a stallion, and his name is Tut, probably after the great king tut. As I walk over to the paddock, I try to look for the one with the halter with Tut inscribed on it. But it is pointless, I can't read the names at this distance. I twist the bag of carrots in my hand. I admit it, when meeting this new horse I am not ashamed of the fact that I am stooping so low as to brie him. I just hope that the carrots will let me get close enough to the horse to read what the halter says. As I reach the fence I make a kissing noise and I wave a carrot, trying to get someones attention. That happen quickly enough, I small herd of horses all gallop over from the hay bales, looking for something tastier. So I start to move down the line, reading halters as I go, so far no sign of a Tut anywhere. When suddenly the horses in front of me scatter. I see a large horse lumbering toward me. It is clear he is the alpha of the herd. I worry a bit, but he is gentle enough when taking the carrot from my hand. But I worry a bit as I look at his halter, and of course, it says Tut. But as I work with him more I realize he is just a big baby deep down.
