@whitewater ; :: The kjaku's eyes narrow at the question- almost as if their pride was even further insulted. It appears though that your own sense of control had prompted them to follow suit in cooling down- they no longer look so angry! But they don't appear to be happy, either..
"Well, Seven, I hope you know you're lucky I'm not in such a bad mood today!" The fellow appears to have ignored your question as if it were offensive- what a stuck-up fellow! They walk off without another word- but it looks like they've dropped some of the flowers you were looking for!!

@Golden-Boy :: The kjaku was just about ready to attack you- but your sharp wits and glorifying compliments caught the fellow off guard entirely! The flaming fellow went from a burning fury to a sudden stroke of pride and self-admiration all in one second it seems. They think for a little bit, mumbling to themselves- "Why yes, of course you should be honored to even look upon me... I am magnificent, that I am.. Oh, yes..."
After some thought, the kjaku looks at you with a sly grin, the flame upon their horn appears to have calmed down.
"I like your mind-set, kiddo. How would you like to be my minion?"
W-what an odd question! You're not here to become a minion, but you may have well just made a new friend?!
(Odd, I can't seem to remember who they are either!..Provide a name+gender for this strange fellow whenever you decide and are ready to claim them!)

@Twili Imp :: Y-yikes! It appears that you've pulled a plate of the kjaku's gleaming spark plate off! It might take some time for a scar that big to heal up, there's no telling what kind of magical properties you'd struck off the fellow's shoulders, or what troubles it can create. While they ran, you found that they dropped 3!


@LadyChinaAru :: The flaming kjaku appears to have been impressed by your skill in combat! They turn to leave before secretly pelting some flowers your way without looking. It seems they've left you 4 as some sort of a gift! What an interesting encounter..

@rorythedork :: The fellow squints at you doubtfully, rage still in their eyes. Luckily, they didn't take any action whilst you stalled them! As you ran, you noticed 2 float by in the wind towards you!

@Macyduke :: The kjaku laughs an almost sarcastic sounding laugh (or maybe even "wicked", as some may describe it). "Oh sure, of course you want me to believe it was a mere accident!" They pause momentarily, before sharply remarking- "You're lucky that this day isn't such a bad day for me, you'd better get up and leave before I destroy you!"
O-of course, they probably couldn't do that even if they tried, but taking that opportunity to go seems like the better option now, just in case! However, you do notice as the fellow turns their back on you that 4 have fallen and are yours for the taking!.. Where ever these came from!


@Strudel :: The fellow looks bewildered! It's evident that they're used to scaring others into submission, and they're rendered speechless for a moment. Bitterly now, the kjaku mutters under their breath distastefully- "I don't have time to waste on such a commoner, such simple minded creatures!" Well that was rude! They turned to leave, as you obviously weren't overwhelmed at first glance. Someone amongst the crowds took notice of what rude comment they'd just said though, and tripped the flaming fellow! That might be another bad encounter, but leave that for someone else- the kjaku dropped 5 from tripping!


@Lloril :: The Kjaku looks as if they were about to snicker rudely, but they remained quiet as they looked down at the roses presented towards them. What was this act of kindness? You certainly offered a kind act that they haven't seen for a long time- if ever, actually! Their face reflected a half grin that seemed only somewhat evil -if we're being honest-.
"Elio, huh? Here I would've gone out of my way to make your Gloom Day worse. I guess, not today." The fellow reaches into your bunches of flowers- it looks like there's something in the bunches you grabbed that you may not have noticed earlier!
"Good luck hunting, kiddo." The flaming kjaku hands you a southern fooflower! Who would've known there was such a flower in the bunch you picked?!?!? Somebody probably put that there, fooflowers don't grow on rosebushes!... Right?!

It was great that the thief was cornered but boy, did Elio not want to get closer. The smell was repugnant but Elio grit their teeth, not wanting to offend the other by outwardly revolting at the smell any more than they might be showing. Now, the matter at hand: getting the flowers back. Reasoning a way out of this might not work, and who knows what else this kjaku managed to swipe from others.....

Elio had an idea, an absolutely outrageous one that might be mad enough to work. They took a step forward.

Or, if not, you look pretty messed up. You could stay at my place. It's not much.. But it may be better than what you have. What do you say?" After a pause, I continued, "You don't have to if you don't want to. A random stranger offering these things to you. I may not trust me either. I'll give you a day or two to think. If the answer is a yes, meet me at the fountain." I turned to walk away. "And also, if you are thinking of stealing, you will make quite the find. I have all the best stories at my place!" I grinned and walked away.

Out of breath, both of us were breathing quite heavily. "Eheh, w-what are you gonna do about it? I won't give you back those flowers! They're mine now!" They snapped the words at me. The audacity of this male to steal someone's stuff and then when I have him cornered he dare continue to pester. "You better give those back now. Maybe then I might have some mercy on you!" I snapped back, growling slightly. Of course, I did not mean him any harm. I was just hoping that he might take the bait. Perhaps that other Kjaku would show up some time soon, though I supposed he may have gotten lost along the way as I still didn't even hear him. "Oh? And, what do you intend to do, sweetheart?" He pestered with a smirk. Oh, how I wanted to wipe that smirk off of his stupid face! "You better watch yourself, you ... you weasel!" Yes I was embarrassed, and I suppose the male could tell, cause he started chuckling. "My, you are a cutie, aren't you?" He said with that same stupid smirk! I was so angry, I could just snap him in two! "Give me back those flowers! They have spent all day searching for those and I am not about to let some sly skunk steal them!" I was beginning to fume at this point, and I suppose the male could tell that as well. "You are like an ant, look at you! I don't suppose you have any idea on how to get them back, do you?" Argh! This male was infuriating. "Just give them back!" I shouted, claws digging into the ground. I suppose it took him a bit by surprise, as his demeanor changed just a bit. "Fine. Here are the stupid little flowers." He said, tossing the flowers in my direction. I was taken by surprise, and it was obviously written across my face. "See you around, sweetheart." He said with that same stupid smirk, knocking me on the nose with that giant tail of his. I turned quickly to watch him walk off and disappear from my view. My irritation returned when the other kjaku returned. "Where ... did he... go?" The kjaku asked, out of breath. "He left. Here are your flowers..." I said, making my leave at that point, a little frustrated that I had to do all the work to get their flowers. I sighed and flattened my ears back, tired from the day. I hoped I might not see that male again, he stunk, literally and figuratively. But, I suppose there was some alluring quality about him, as I could not quite get him out of my mind. Frustrated, I huffed and headed back home empty-handed.

I stand with my side facing the dirty thief in a dark alley, breathing heavily. I want to lie down and catch my breath but not now. My muscles ache as I keep myself standing tall, edging closer, pointing my shoulder spikes towards them when they look for an escape.
"You give them back," I hiss.
"I don't know w-what you're talking about," they stammer.
"The flowers," I say sternly.
"No," the thief shouts then quickly dashes in front of me. After a few boundful steps, I catch up and sweep under their back leg. The black kjaku crashes into the concrete. When they scramble to their feet, I shove them into the wall. Hard. Dazed, they're easier to hold. The victim comes trotting around the corner, panting.
"Finally," I whisper, "you grab the basket."
"Me? But I-" she replies.
"I have my hands full," I growl. I watch as she picks up the now dented basket rolling on the floor, picking up the dropped flowers.
"Thank you," she cries happily, "what are you going to do with them?"
"Lock them up," I reply, laughing as the thief starts thrashing.
"Oh! I didn't realise you were an officer," she sounds surprised, "well thank you for helping everyone."
"You're welcome," I say sharply, struggling to pin the thief, "you might want to hurry leaving."
When she turns her back, I loosen my hold slightly.
"Calm down," I whisper to the black kjaku.
"What do you mean calm down?" they snapped, "you're going to turn me in."
"Maybe not," I say after making sure the victim had made their way out of the alley.
"What?" they ask. I let go of the confused kjaku.
"I haven't had that much fun chasing down a crook in a long while," I say, "I might just look the other way if you have something."

Gilroy sighed at the sight of the other creature being so defensive, this poor Kjaku. Sure stealing was wrong, but they didn’t mean any real harm by it, he was sure. Perhaps there was something he could do so that both of these kjaku could be happy. He looked over to his flowers he had gathered himself. Only two small blues glanced back up to him. He grabbed the two flowers and placed them on the ground in front of the skunky Kjaku. The blue color against the dark ground. Gilroy looked around, making sure there wasn’t another Kjaku who could snatch it from in between them. “You can take my only flowers if you give the flowers you stole back. It’s not a lot, but if I find some more I can try to look for you again and give you more.” The red Kjaku sat down in front of the other, pushing the flowers forwards. “If you really just want to take them and run, I’ll just say that you got the best of me and ran off farther away than I could reach. Or that you attacked me and I couldn’t defend myself. I’ll even scratch myself so it seems real.” The red Kjaku brought up his head, looking for something that could manage a scratch, before looking at his own claws and pointing towards his face and chest. “I do really want to help you here. But I want to help that other Kjaku too. And...If you help them and give those flowers back, I’ll help you and...you can have all my flowers.” The barter was based on a foundation of trust towards the stranger, and Gilroy’s face had a soft look to them, almost as if he was asking the other to help. It was a gamble, but Gilroy knew it’d be better to help others than to help himself. His two friends would mind, but...Gilroy thought the happiness of a few strangers would make a larger impact. “So, Stranger. What says you?”
