FSHSHCJSJDJEJ res with the book being able to predict possible outcomes / basically suggest the future
with a time traveler who tries to prevent the worst outcomes from happening

Seen as odd, always acts a bit weird but only because they know what will happen
Kind of creepy/stalker is to some people
One outcome in the book?

you may or may not know me, but i am the god of time. i have been around for a while, a couple of eons. nothign has stood the test of time with me, except for one thing:
the Gods's Cookbook.
recipes from every time period, including from the future and other universes. i have traveled far and wide, through all kinds of species's existences. a few of my recipes are ones that i received from the last inhabitant of a dying planet, or the final breath of a near-extinct species. i have translated ingredients from billions and trillions of languages, and written them down in this book. this book, you see, can never die. neither can i, but i am not as important. for gods can fade away, but literature and language and writing and FEELINGS and THOUGHTS can never die. those will always live on, in the form of LEGACIES and traditions and home-made food. some of these recipes have been passed on through thousands of generations, through wars, to planets exploding, to millions of stars dying, to fires, to floods, through fear, through hope, therough peace, through love.
i do not have enough time to say this, but i have seen a great many things. i have survived a great many things to give this book to you. to share this with you. although your life is just one fraction of a tiny speck on the massive timeline of everything, i give this book to you. for earth, although its time will come to die eventually, still needs to share recipes. it still needs to experience new things, to try new languages. earth is still young and careless, as are you.
so i need for you to carry on the legacy of the Universe's Cookbook. i need for you to carry on the legacy of me.

user;

name;
Alvina, meaning wise friend
gender;
female, presents as nonbinary and uses she/ they pronouns
prompt: [489 words]
The book in Avina's hands is a journal. She has kept logs in it ever since that fateful day. She's been traveling so much- through dimensions and time and space- that it could have been days ago or years ago that it happened. She lost her girlfriend. Not in a "we're through!" sort of way, more in a literal sense. She had been trying a newly developed, highly unstable transportation spell, and it misfired, and then Tafiti was gone. Each page was the same sorrowful lament, the hopeful cry into the void. She had searched in the safe places and the dangerous ones, the happy places and the sad ones, and the smelly places, too. She had searched where they had first met, where they first held hands, where they first went out together. Everywhere Avina went, she had her eyes peeled for that dorky smile, her ears pointed to hear that heart-twisting giggle. She had been everywhere looking for the missing piece of a broken heart., and she was resting in the shade of the willow tree they first kissed under when she noticed that she was on the last page of her journal. With a broken sigh, Avina began the journey home. Fruitlessly she scoured the same beaten paths on the way back, eyes searching helplessly for that familiar, gaudy grin. Her heart sank lower and lower as she neared town, and as if things couldn't get worse, a storm rolled in. Her head hung almost to her knees, the tears held back pushing to be released. And then she heard it over the rain, far in the distance. A gentle pat-pat-pat of paws hitting the mud, running towards her. At first, she ignored it. It must be someone looking for shelter from the rain, right? But the tiny, stupid bit of hope left in her made her head raise, scouring the horizon. And her heart stopped. There she was, one hand waving high in the air, mouth open wide and suddenly yelling, but Avina couldn't hear. She was running, tears rolling down her cheeks with the raindrops. Her feet barely hit the ground as she sprinted towards the tiny, familiar green splotch. And then they were together again, Avina pushing every part of herself into Tafiti, sniffling and whispering "I'm so sorry"'s into Tafiti's already soaked fur. The rainclouds began to split up as they stood there, just taking each other in, and then they walked home, paw-in-paw. Avina ran back for the journal and suggested they burn it, but Tafiti pinched her cheek and told her they should keep it since all the angsty stuff she wrote was really good material for magic and the like. Avina begrudgingly agreed and put it next to the other spell books, where it sat for many, many years, collecting dust and watching life go by as the memories encased in it's covers became nothing but long-forgotten childhood nightmares.

Might just be trying out for stubs

user; Strudel
name; Brynnox "Nox"
gender; Female
prompt: what is inside the book or what is the importance of the book? (minimum 100 words | max of 750 words)

"What is that you're holding?" a curious and young viscet questions the mage as she recites from the book in her paws. The younger viscet, Ambrose, doesn't even flinch as mage-- Brynnox-- glares at him for a moment.

Eventually, the mage sighs and snaps her book shut. She can't bring herself to tell the young man to go away. He's just a curious, young witchling after all.

"It's my tome." Nox responds as she looks to the young man.

"Tome? Like an ancient book of spells? That's so neat!"

"Yes, essentially a book of spells."

"Can I see it?" the young man steps over to catch a better look at the weighty tome.

Nox holds the large book out to the young viscet and he takes it in his paws. He holds it carefully as he thumbs through the ancient pages.

"But I can read this at all." Ambrose says with a disappointed sigh. "What's it written in?" he holds the book out to return it. Now that he knows he can't read it and glean any new spells, it's lost some of it's wonder.

"It's in ancient Norse." Brynnox explains "It's the Heimskringla, actually. The old Norse kings' sagas." she explains "It tells the history of my people. This copy has been rebound, but it's over 500 years old." she can see the confusion written all over Ambrose's face before he even asks anything. Still, she lets him.

"If it's just... a history book... then how is it a spell book?"

Nox laughs a moment "The book is literally called The Circle of the World." she responds "There is far more to it than meets the eye. Written into the sagas-- the stories of kings and powerful rulers-- intertwined into the very words are powerful spells and incantations. Only someone who can read the clues that Snorri Sturluson left behind in his work can decipher the code and read the spells buried in the work. The greatest of mages never simply write out their work, they hide it from prying eyes-- eyes of those that seek to use their work for ruin and rot instead of prosperity and progress."

"And read ancient Norse."

Nox tilts her head "What?" he had lost her.

"I mean, they have to find the clues and know ancient Norse to be able to decipher it." Ambrose responds. "You forgot to mention that."

Nox shakes her head "Well, yes, of course. Anyway, I can't teach you how to read this tome. Not in the limited time you'll be here. But, perhaps I can teach you an easier spell or two?"

Ambrose's face lights up "That would be awesome!"

user; mareep | name; Ezekiel | gender; male

Prompt: What is inside the book?
"Zeke, as you have noticed, I'm getting sicker and weaker. I demand to pass the tome down to my last son, you have been excelling at your practice and I am so incredibly proud of you."

"Father.." Ezekiel teared up, about to whine but he bit it back; not wanting his father's final moments to be a lecture. "I will accept the tome and the responsibility."

"I appreciate it." His father took a deep breath, trying to will away the death for a little bit longer, "listen, you must not skip a witch for sake of their safety or for the friendship. The higher being expect you to write anything that comes to you, and I mean everything. Got it?"

"Yes, understood." The younger viscet bowed his head to meet a paw reaching out to ruffle his mane weakly.

"I'm proud of you. Unlike your siblings, you continue to impress me, and surpassing me in every ways.."

Ezekiel let out quiet sobs when he felt paw on his head drop to the bed lifelessly, he grasped the paw in his own. He heard a quiet statement of 'this is dumb' from older sibling, all two were in the room and he could feel them silently judging him for being their father's favorite. He ignored them though, there was no point in arguing with them in front of their dead father.

Before he realized it, an information came to him like a quick swoosh, lingering in his mind, and he promptly grabbed the thick, plum tome off the nightstand. He promised his father he would write everything, and he's not going to prioritize his mourning. The man would haunt him if he did. He left the room to his own, ignoring the glares from his siblings. Who cares about being a favorite? If they wanted to be father's favorite, then they should not have trailed off the path he wanted them to be in to take after him.

He slammed the tome open on his writing desk hurriedly, flipping through the multiple pages of various witches before stopping at one named Cyrille Pixli. He picked up his quill and began writing his first entry.

"Cryille have unanimously decided to stop his practice in favor of being lazy. Despite this, Harlow Dread continues to scold him for not practicing, and forcing him to do so."

Zeke closed the tome slowly as if to accept his new future in baby steps. From outsider's perspective, it seemed like a burden. He could easily lose friends, families, reputation, or social life over this tome. It's a job, though, a job that he can't just abandon just because he wanted a normal life. His two siblings would abandon it without hesitation and receive a severe punishment from the higher being. He couldn't let that happen, it doesn't matter if his siblings are mean to him; he had to protect them from themselves and take up on this responsibility himself. It was also clear that the higher being already chosen him to be the next bearer of the tome.

    Extras: The Encounter
Ezekiel hugged the book tightly to himself as he took in the scenery of Freymoor forest. The dark brown of barks, tinted with unnatural colors, the leaves of same odd colors made a canopy above him. The bright green grass soft under his paws, the breeze light on his body. It was such a peaceful day, he couldn't sense that an information would come today. Which is good, he could use the break, even if a day. It had been a year since his father's passing and he barely found spare time to himself, new witches were rising up all over and making new history. The higher being kept sending visions and messages to him, he always had to drop what he was doing to write in the tome.

"What's that?" A voice snapped him out of his trance, he turned around to find a large purple viscet with a tailmouth.

"Oh! Harlow, and Wicker! It's so nice to meet you two!" Zeke exclaimed, he didn't think he would get to meet the ultimate witch today out of all days! It was so neat getting to see her and Wicker right there. The viscet rapidly moved her paws in a succession, and he responded before the tailmouth could. He knew the sign language, having practiced it in his spare time.

"I'm sorry for making you repeat your question! This book? It's uh.. a spell.. book? Yeah, spellbook." He lied with a small smile, unsure if he should reveal the nature of the tome in his paws.

Harlow narrowed her eyes at the male, signing more faster. She obviously didn't trust him, and he knew he'd be in a trouble if he kept resisting and keeping secrets.

"I can't show you, I'm sorry. I know you're the ultimate witch, but I just can't-" before he realized it, he was few feet up in the air without anything holding him up but a thin circle around him, indicating that a spell were used to levitate him. He had dropped his book in the process.. great. He watched as the witch open the book, signing with one paw to Wicker. He normally could understand two paws, but one- he needed more practice.

"Are you stalking us? Why do you know everything about us?" Wicker interpreted her one-paw signings, following the accusatory tone almost perfectly.

"I-it's uh, my job." Zeke chuckled nervously, realizing that it sounds even worse, "I mean it's uh, a job I couldn't abandon. It's uh, it just come to me and I have to write it down."

"It just come to you? Is it the higher being's doing?"

"Oh! You know about the higher being, then yes." He was surprised, but at the same time not. It was expected that ultimate witch like her knew of the higher being.

Harlow's face dissolved into something of a knowing look, closing the book with a sigh. She stared at the glowing front cover for few minutes in a thought before looking up at the viscet in air. She raised a paw to continue signing out sentences for Wicker to interpret.

"You're a prophet, aren't you? Then you might be even stronger than I am."

"Oh, no! No. No way I am stronger than you. I just get messages from higher being, but that's about it!" He raised his paws to shake them in front of himself with another nervous chuckle.

"I didn't know our Sigmund was Ohana's son in their past life as a human nor that he used to be named Sanyi. My family didn't tell me I used to have an older sibling. List goes on. You're clearly powerful."

"That was my father's time, though! And way before you were born."

"Your father? Is he a prophet too?"

"The father before him too, and grandfather, grand grandfather-"

"It's a family thing then." Harlow quieted into a wonder, placing the book on Wicker's head to cross her arms. He stayed in the air quietly, watching her work her brain out before she continued signing.

"Alright, I agree. I agree to show you the book once in a while." It was worth it, she was threatening to keep him in the air for a long duration if at any time he refused to show. He knew he would get in trouble, but luckily he escaped it without a scratch. It was cool being levitated though!! Maybe next time he gets to meet her, he'll ask her to do some spells in return. Who knew being holder for a history tome on witches would get him in trouble. Hopefully future ones is almost as fun as today was, meeting a cool witch and being levitated.
