Spring is a time of new beginnings. Describe a time your komo had a new beginning!
Sweat from rigging the sails trickled down Cillian's brow and he wiped at it absently. It wasn't a particularly hot day, but the ropes were heavy in his palms, and the effort it took to hoist them over the beams was enough to make him red in the face. He liked this kind of work, with the port-gentle rocking of the boat beneath his feet and the cries of seabirds in his ears.
Sea air nipped at him, cooling the perspiration and rending the task altogether easier. He tossed the frayed end of the rope to another worker, who pulled it taught around a metal loop on the deck. No thanks were offered, no nod of acknowledgement. Cillian didn't mind. He'd barely been allowed on a vessel since his shipwreck the previous spring, so helping with rigging was something to look forward to in itself. He'd had a few days on the ship already, prepping it for its departure next week. Each day, he was dismissed early with meagre pay, and he didn't need to wait around to know the other men were paid more than him. He wouldn't complain. And when the ship left without him, early in the morning, no notice given, he wouldn't complain either.
For now, he was grateful for sweat, sea breeze and hard work.
left is cillian "enjoying" some rain.

Spring is a time of new beginnings. Describe a time your komo had a new beginning!Though Pogo wouldn't admit it, the closest thing he's had to a 'new beginning' was the day he bumped into his pet and friend, Mr. Schmoo the Schmoo.
It happened on the simplest of days!
He was sitting out in the middle of his favorite lake aboard the G.S. Lollypop, minding his own business and celebrating another grand summer day by playing his concertina as loudly as possible. Surprisingly enough, people didn't much like it when he did this on shore - they claimed it ruined the day rather than enhanced it! This appalling lack of good taste had always confused Pogo to no end. Did people not know good music when they heard it...? Anyway, between songs Pogo decided to set his instrument down for a moment so he could fish a soda from his picnic basket. Singing off-key is hard work! As he did this however, he spotted movement out of the corner of his eye. When he turned to look, he blinked in surprise. There was this strange, rounded, white shape, just floating past the boat, about four feet off his starboard bow. After a few more seconds of his just sitting and staring, the shape had nearly floated past. Then, realizing that his window of opportunity was closing, Pogo jumped into action! He scrambled over to the side of his little boat, causing it to rock alarmingly, and shot his chameleon-like tongue out in the direction of the object. When the sticky blob on the end made contact with the object and stuck fast, he grinned from ear to ear and began reeling the thing in.
It was the work of a few moments to bring the thing alongside the G.S. Lollypop. Then Pogo pulled the thing into the boat, detached his tongue, and closed his mouth. The next step was to began poking curiously at his catch.
As it turns out, he'd reeled in a Schmoo! Now Pogo had never seen a Schmoo before. As I'm sure most people have not. So he did not know right off the bat what he'd found. That would come later. For the time being, all he knew was that he'd found a strange little thing that appeared to be alive, despite whatever trials and tribulations it had gone through, and he was, at first, not quite sure what to do with it. So he left it in the bottom of the boat and picked his concertina up again. Playing helped him to think.
What happened next sealed their friendship.
As Pogo played, he watched the Schmoo. Slowly, surely, the creature began to come around. And as it did so, it began to smile. Wet as it was, cold as it was, lost as it was - it was enjoying the music! Pogo played louder, and the thing's smile grew. As did his own. Right then and there Pogo decided that he liked this strange thing, and would keep it rather than eat it, as one would normally do with a fish they'd caught. Even one so odd-looking as this! He had a pet now, and his pet had a home. They'd be together forever!!
It did not even cross Pogo's mind that the thing could be smiling because it had been rescued... and NOT because it liked his concertina playing. Oh no - not for a moment. Which is probably good for Mr. Schmoo. Though to this day he has to pretend that he does, indeed, like it when Pogo takes him out on the lake for a day of sing-alongs. For better or worse.

(I'm a nonowner so I'm using Chia~)
The refreshing air hung low as it drifted into my nostrils,
a sense of calm flooded around the moistened earth.
The soft soil coated my feathers and clung tight,
weighing me down with their dark natural power.
Grounded.
I was grounded physically and emotionally.
The billowing grey clouds above me invoked fear,
while the events of the past failures kept me still.
Grounded by choice.
The flapping of birds wings through the storm,
inviting and mocking at the same time.
Reminded me of the choice I was making by sitting still.
The rain cleansed my wings of their soiled state,
however, still I remained.
The leaves from trees leaped without fear,
but there I remained, grounded.
But the tingling, itching, crying out from my wings,
continued to bug me as I wallowed in my own misery.
The rain slowly calmed and with it my fears,
and in one fellow swoop I reached out and was
Unbound.

Day 5: Describe a flower with personal significance to your komo! For
Alice, two flowers come to mind. Bleeding Hearts and Forget-Me-Not's, each one with its own unique reason. The Bleeding heart is kinda like her tail, heart shaped but at the same time not, also hearing the name just makes her feel sad just like looking at her tail.. as for the forget-me-not's a a simple little flower that grown in shady spots near water, Alice not only loves their color but she too likes hanging around a shady little pond much like the flowers, they're also a forgettable flower to some and sometimes she wishes she could forget the pain she felt the day she hurt her tail.

P R O M P T 5
She sat on a rock, watching her prey. The female komo lashed her tail. Tenshi was about to catch the Nectar Nasher. This villain would sneak through yards and eat your flowers. Tenshi leapt down and tackled the black hooded komo. She stared at the dirtied old face of the Nectar Nasher. They held a kadupal flower in their claws. Tenshi gave a double take, that was one of the rarest most expensive flowers in the world! “Where did you get that?” The old komo trembled a bit as a breeze came by. “I grew it..” They coughed for a second and stared back up at Tenshi. “Have you been eating all your neighbors flowers? The Nectar Nasher’s eyes bulged and they nodded. “I’m dying, Nectar is the only thing keeping me alive.” Tenshi’s eyes widened, she gripped the komo’s shoulder gently “I am going to take you to a hospital.” The old komo smiled and placed the kadupal flower in Tenshi’s palm. “Thank you miss.” Tenshi clutched the flower tightly and continued to walk the old komo to the hospital.
Although Tenshi failed her assignment she had learned empathy. She cherished the flower the old komo gave her. Flowers don’t last forever, but this moment will. In honor of the Nectar Nasher, who died recently. Tenshi has harvested seeds from the kadupal flower and planted them around the old komo’s grave. Of course Tenshi will always keep one for herself, just as a reminder of the past.
