He’s been leading his friends through wild places for so long, ran into so many people, so many cats, who care only for their own well being. He has been betrayed so many times.

From the rogue cats in the city, who used them as bait for the dogs, to the loner who tried to kill Dusk in the night, while they slept at his home... life’s taught him a simple truth - if you trust too easily, too willingly, you’ll end up dead. So he does his own thing, he sticks to his little group within the Clan, his old friends, the ones he cares about more than anything.

Tidestroke wasn't always a feral member of Grottoclan, and this showed in his times with them. Dustripple, the leader, was kind to him, something Tidestroke, a former-kittypet, was grateful for. He took pity on the stranger, and listened to his story: His two-leg had taken him on a trip to the lakefront near the clan, and left without him. It was an accident, surely, but by the time he realized they were gone, he chose to try to find his way in the wilds.

Eventually, Tidestroke was a valued member of the grotto community, and was well aware of the rules. He was one of the cats there when two-leg youths started gathering in the lands, and convinced Dustripple to let the humans do their thing once it was clear they weren't interested in the cats. Tidestroke became more friendly with the humans, up to the point of interacting whenever they came. He was given an ultimatum: leave and stay with the two-legs and be exiled, or stay with the clan and cut the interactions.

It was tough, and Tidestroke took some time to himself to sort his options: home and food and pets, or respect and freedom and power? It was his choice. Finally, Tidestroke chose to stay with the clan: he made a life for himself, and he'd live it!

Prompt: Aspencry fell in love with a loner outside of the clan. He was a good fellow, but a Casanova at heart. He always ended up breaking the hearts of the mollies he met. He had traveled a long way, and somehow found himself outside of Prairieclan’s border. Aspencry had been on the border, hunting when she had met the charming fellow. He had swept her off of her feet, and Aspencry had fell for all of his tricks and charms. But the thing she was surprised about, even after she learned about his past and his history, was that he loved her back. He asked her to leave the clan, but after a lot of fights and internal turmoil, she realized that her loyalty to the clan was more important to her than her heart. The ex-mate left, after hearing her turn him down, and she sometimes fantasizes about what would have happened if she would have gone with him.

Dustwave was a normal loner at one point in his life, named Dust. He had gone on an adventure to find himself on the island where a scary group of cats called GullClan were supposed to live. Dust had soon met the leader Snowstar and become the warrior Dustwave. Dustwave respected the cats of GullClan but soon found himself wishing for the easy life of a loner. As a loner, he only had to hunt for himself, defend himself, and he could travel wherever he pleased. In the clan, he had to hunt longer for the whole clan, sacrifice himself if he had to, and couldn't go on an adventure off the main island. One day, Snowstar took Dustwave to his den. "Dustwave" he mewed seriously "do you wish to leave this clan? I've been seeing that you've had problems with your loyalty." Dustwave revealed his feelings to Snowstar who told him he had a quarter moon to think about it.

If I win this cat, Dustwave decides to stay in the clan and become a loyal warrior.
If I don't win this cat, Dustwave decides to become a loner again, and leaves GullClan.

Prompt: It wasn’t that he doubted his loyalty to the clan per say, it was that he doubted his loyalty to she who led it. Where other cats of Aridclan saw a forward thinking leader who was cautious and stable enough to implement the necessary changes gradually, Dunestone saw through Mothstar’s mask, or at least he believed so. Dunestone thought the Aridclan leader to be reckless, sending out patrols where they never had gone before- risking loyal cats to scout for new water sources which were probably not there at all. All the while putting up a calm front to every emergency to try and hide her panic, too cowardly to admit to it and seek aid. It was simply the last straw when Dunestone, and the rest of the clan, found out that Mothstar had been secretly training a kittypet and had brought her to join Aridclan. This so called Frostpaw wouldn’t survive the no-grass season and Aridclan would have to surrender precious food until then. Shadestar would have never put up with this! She would have agreed with Dunestone, even if none of his current clanmates did. But Dunestone would stay through this trying period of Aridclan history. He had to. Who else saw the danger lying in their midst? Who else would protect them? {219 words}

Until the night when he asked her to fight against her clan. To become a slippery stone beneath Wildeyes feet that betrayed her at the final moment and cast her into the river.
Like a leaf in the storm, she was torn in two, her heart caught beneath a landslide of terrible emotion.
For hours and hours and days and days her heart twisted like a tortured snake. Until the hour came.
Wildeyes looked at her with fear and he looked at her with confidence. And her claws came out.
And his confidence turned to shock as she heaved him into the river.
For hours and hours and days and days she grieved him and the ragged piece of her heart he'd stolen from her, but as her clan looked at her trustingly and Wildeyes told her she was proud, the pain eased slowly and she realized that fire burns out and lovers lie, yet trusting friends will follow through to the star lit end.

Honeydust was always a romantic, waiting to be swept off her paws. So when she met the charming Ferretfur along the border of their two clans...
After that first encounter, Honeydust couldn't get him out of her mind; the compliments, the the charm, the way he looked at her... Could it really be so bad to want to see him again? Thoughts of him quickly consuming her daydreams, she had to see him again.

Their visits became more and more frequent, and the two became extremely close. They knew things about each other that even their clanmates didn't know. A part of Honeydust felt guilty, for falling in love with a cat outside your clan was against the Warrior's Code. But nothing ever felt as right as it did when she was with him.

After several moons, Honeydust decided to leave her clan to be with him. She crossed the border into Ferretfur's territory, and went looking for him, following the directions he'd given her if she ever wanted to find him. Soon enough, she caught his scent. A purr erupted from her throat, and as she turned around a bush, she saw him- with another she-cat. Heartbroken, Honeydust turned and ran right back to her clan. How could she be so stupid? Her clan was her family, how could she ever try to leave?
