Clan Thread: BeamclanCouragous||Independent||Distrustful||Blunt||Adaptable||AlertEchofrost is a rather interesting cat. He honestly prefers to be alone, fending for himself, though he will adapt
as a situation rises. He doesn't put up with most unnecessary formalities, especially when addressing rather
rude cats. He'll speak his mind and speak it clearly, though he does have some morals. His best interest is in
those he trusts, which is not many, so he has grown an interesting multitasking skill and the ability to pick
apart others words to see their intentions. He often seems cold and distant, though he does have a heart. He simply doesn't wear it outside of his own mind. He would give his life to benefit his clan, wishing to honor
Doestar and those he trusts as he was taken in early on in the clan's development.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬Full History: Echo was born on the streets of a rather small twoleg city, being used to the specific cruelty of some twolegs towards loners like himself. Of course he met a sort of young twoleg, one who gave him food and always dropped by to talk to him rather than gawk or kick. Unfortunately this newly found friend or trusted companion was fake, as he and his twoleg friends put him into a bag and threw him in the back of their monster. He was confused and yowling for hours as the loud bellows from the twolegs echoed in the small space. It was a confusing and certainly frightening experience as he was stuck in a dark bag for possibly hours. After a while, they opened the bag, only to grab him forcefully and throw him out into the wilderness. He was shocked and confused, wandering for hours feeling hurt and betrayed by someone he would've considered a friend.
---
He lost track of time, wandering the vast forests and mountains. He could've been there for days, moons even, and he still felt the same. He grew a taste for birds and squirrels, though it was certainly harder to find them than digging for scraps in dumpsters. His muscles grew, as did his experience but his belly often was empty for days at a time, travelling more than hunting and never staying in the same place. He eventually ran into a rather aggressive bunch of cats, seemingly muscled and well fed but with horrid tempers. His rather blunt nature set one of them off, pouncing onto him and raking their claws into his flesh. The other few ganged up on him before they were sure he had enough of a beating. Battered and bruised, Echo struggled to even stand, but kept going before collapsing in Beamclan territory. He awoke to find two clan cats, a she-cat and a tom who looked drastically different but had the same kind look in their eyes. His blunt nature didn't bother them and he knew in the back of his mind that they had no ill intents. Over time when socializing in the group, he participated in helping gather resources and clean the camp, leading for him to become rather disciplined and eventually becoming a full time member. As he helped out more in the developing clan, he was offered the highest position Doestar had to give and he accepted it gladly, knowing he could trust her judgement and actions. Since then he has been known as Echofrost, and has done everything he can to bring honor to his title, clan and leader. How He and Doestar Met: During a patrol with her trusted clanmate, Ratwood, they stumbled upon a rather wounded and unconscious Echofrost. Of course they were unsure about what to do with him at first, but they ultimately decided to take him back to their make-shift camp. With Ratwood's minimal knowledge of herbs and healing, he was able to create a poultice to dis-infect the wounds and help them heal, though they may sting a bit when the tom woke up.
----
The tom opened his eyes to find he was in a large cave-like den, laying on some moss. His entire body ached as his muscles moved to get up, feeling a certain stiffness in particular areas. As he pushed through the pain, walking out of the den, he bumped into a tall cat. "Pardon me but I must be going," stating, his eyes not stopping the search for an exit to look towards the cat. "No no! You should rest! We found you in rather concerning shape outside our camp," she replied with concern, leading him to finally look at the tall cat. Her eyes seemed filled with worry, her large ears perked towards him and her expression matching her emotion. "While I appreciate the concern, I can certainly handle myself on my own out there. I certainly don't need any help from a she-cat of the forest," he bluntly stated, gaze ice cold and stature rather hunched due to the pain in his back. His tail twitched with both agitation and uncertainty as he stood there in front of she tall figure. "Please stay, at least until you are well fed and healed. We wouldn't want you to go out on your own, even with as able as you say you are to take care of yourself." the she-cat looked rather solemn now and he didn't feel she meant any ill intent by her request, though he was still skeptical. Another cat walked up, this one being rather fluffy and certainly shorter than the she-cat. "You really shouldn't be up for another moon, you could get an infection with those wounds," chimed in the fluffy tom. "Look, I don't know why you care so much. I'm not a part of your 'gang' or whatever so why don't you just let me leave? I don't know your names and you don't know mine anyway." Echo was getting rather agitated at this point, these cats were strange for caring so much about a complete stranger. It certainly could only mean that they wanted something from him, right? "We just do. We don't like leaving a cat that we took in to fend for themselves when they likely are too injured to do so. But, of course it is your decision to leave." The tall she-cat seemed to droop, turning away from him as the situation continued. The fluffy tom seemed to sympathize with her, looking at her with care. A pit of guilt sat in Echo's belly and although it was rather small, he did consider the fact that his stiffness would be rather irritating when hunting. Besides, maybe it wouldn't be too bad resting for a few days. "Well... It seems that I am in no danger here and i suppose it would be in my best interest to stay until I am fully healed at the very least," Echo decided. The tall she-cat immediately lit up at that revelation, "Oh! In that case i'll go get you some new bedding and some food while you look around!" She started to bad away excitedly, before turning back "Oh, and by the way, I'm Doestar, over there is Ratwood and you are in the Beamclan camp." She made a polite meow before finally bounding off outside the shrubbery. Maybe this place wasn't too bad after all...Officially Joining: Echo stayed in the clan for a few moons before deciding to properly join their customs. After having healed he often simply sat around the camp, thinking of where he would go the next day, how he would leave the camp after being given the charity of the leader and other cats. He always told himself "I'll leave tomorrow", then saying when he woke in his warm nest "maybe one more day...". Over the course of his stay, he grew accustomed to seeing Doestar and Ratwood, following on some hunting trips and seeing the gorgeous moon beams at night when he couldn't sleep. He admitted to himself that he couldn't leave now on a good conscience. During Sunhigh, Echo gained the courage to speak with Doestar about his decision. She was simply elated, she admitted she was starting to get used to his presence and that his help when hunting and gathering herbs took a lot of weight off her shoulders. He, Ratwood and Doestar had a private meeting and ceremony, giving Echo his proper warrior name of Echofrost, frost due to his chilling gaze and ability to hide his own emotions. He appreciated it, and certainly took well to his name in the clan. Eventually, through his duties and learning customs from Doestar as well as fighting techniques, she asked him to become deputy, giving him a high responsibility and a sense of proper purpose. He couldn't have felt more delighted, though he didn't entirely show it other than a slight smile and soft purr.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬Echofrost wrote:It's hard to hate, but even harder to trust after experiences break down your spirit.
