The spring's breeze whistled around Ira, and the sunlight poured down into his garden, where he spent the majority of his free time in. All sorts of flowers were planted and were in a buds, promising a bright and colourful summer.

"Hey, Pixie? Are you here?" He called out in a hushed voice, sitting next to a bed of daisies. The growing plants blew in the wind, and the nearby trees swayed gently. And then suddenly, a small wisp of purple floated down towards Ira, sparkling like a crystal. Ira grinned with eagerness. The purple wisp swiftly took shape and transformed into a bunny-like creature, but with gorgeous wings of a butterfly.

"I'm here!" It spoke with a squeal. Ira giggled and stood up, his head now the same level as the creature.

Pixie was an unusual creature Ira had encountered one day two summers ago, when he was busily inspecting his precious garden, until Ira found Pixie tangled in one of his flower beds, desperately trying to get out. Once he helped her, Pixie explained that she enjoyed watching his garden bloom and often helped with the growing of them. Ever since Pixie had always appeared when the weather was warm, cheerfully helping with Ira's garden. An amazing and magical creature Pixie was, even if Ira didn't have a clue upon what she was.

"How's the garden doing?" Pixie asked in her usual high pitched voice. "Do you need any help? I'm out of my especially useful pink powder stuff that helps so if you accidentally step on it, it's still fine. But other than that I'm totally open to help!" Pixie squeaked.

Ira hesitated for a moment. "My garden is doing just fine. I wanted you to come so I could thank you for helping my garden. You've been a vital part to everything, my garden would never look so stunning without you." He started with a grin. "Even though you're an odd fairy bunny thing, and I'm just a Kalon, you're super neat! I wish I had the powers you did." He admittedly wistfully.

Pixie stared at him with her beady eyes. "Aww, you're welcome Ira! I love helping out and seeing your garden blossom!" She replied in a good humored tone.

"I really do look up to you!" Ira confessed with a smile.

Pixie laughed, fluttering to the ground. "But techinally you look down on me."

American Independence/Revolution

Kala finds the history of the USA interesting overall, but especially the American Revolution and fighting for independence from Great Britain and the eventual aftermath. For centuries the colonies were handled with a "loose grip" by the king. They were bringing in wealth for the British, so who really cared what the Americans were doing? Until the time came where a later king wanted to "rein in" the colonists. This caused outcry, as the people in the colonies weren't used to this heavy handedness, and fought back. Despite the prowess of the British army, they lost to the colonist because they couldn't change. Fast forward to the end of the war, and the first failed government type that was tried. It was a loose and small government, due to the colonists distaste of anything stronger because of their past experiences. It is comparable somewhat to the EU today, where the states/former colonies were pretty much their own countries, with their own currency, laws, and trade. However, the sheer lack of power gave rise to new issues. When this system was failing with no hopes of repair, the men who came to be known as the founding fathers came together in secrecy to write up a new government. They wanted one that would give strength to it to prevent the issues they had before, but also to limit its power so it couldn't be abused. It took many weeks for them to all agree to it, many grumbling because no one got exactly what they wanted, and the US was truly born.

Indeed, Kala finds this period very fascinating. How people from vastly different cultures were able to unify to fight against a mutual threat so they could keep their way of life. The reactions of the major powers of the time, not just Great Britain, but France as well. How interlinked everything was, events in one part of the globe indeed affected another. Kala often muses that some things haven't changed from that time; politicians still went after each other-especially during election season- to make themselves look good, people still fought over their disagreements about government, and life is still complicated. We've come a long way, but some things haven't changed, and that makes her smile. Isn't history just grand?

Favorite Historical Event:
Aviva's favorite historical event is the ending of the French Revolution.
The ending wasn't extraordinary or anything, in fact there are far more
fascinating events to explore, but Aviva enjoys this event solely because
of the major irony that came with the revolution ending this way. The
revolution came to be because France was annoyed with a singular ruler,
yet the entire war was ended by someone becoming the ruler of France.
Aviva loves this event because it's incredibly ironic and amusing that France
went through all that trouble just to end up with a new ruler.

Zaki's favorite experience at a concert was when she went to see Imagine Dragons. She got up and ready super- super early. She picked up her friends and they got there six hours early. They were at the front of the line to get in and were the first to get into the mosh pit.
Zaki was so exited about this, since it was her first ever concert!
