Short Story: Never having been one to step down from a challenge, Rueger stared up at the green apple hanging way far above his head on the little apple tree. His mind racing to figure out how he could reach the treat he was craving. Looking around he saw nothing close by that he could stand on. Trying to climb the little tree did not work, he never was much of a climber, a little too clumsy for that. Frustration growing quickly Rueger thought it best to release his anger on the tree, running at the tree and head butting it. The force of his headbutt shook the whole tree all over and knocked Rueger back onto his bottom. The pout crossing his features didn't have time to fully form before that same pretty green apple fell right on his little head, knocked loose by the shaking. Head snapping back to look at the three with wide eyes, Rueger sheepishly apologized. He shouldn't be so mean, Ms.Appletree will give him an apple when she feels like it. With one last 'thank you,' he moved to sit against the base of the tree and started happily munching on his apple.
