Authenticity. Maisie has been screwed over one too many times to play games like that. They'd rather have no friends than have a lot of friends and have even one lie to them. Maisie's a very strong advocate for the truth, for the clarity of honest words. You can do anything you like to tick them off- steal their things, wreck their house- but the second you lie to them, they'll drop you like a hot plate and watch you shatter. It's quite a hurdle to jump to become their friend, but be honest and you've got their trust forever.

Genevieve always looks for someone she can keep a long, interesting conversation with.
