What event really changed them growing up? (244/300) He grew up believing that the world was great, the kingdom was fair, and everybody got a chance. The commander of the army disagreed. He was too soft, his hair too long, his eyes too bright to be in the army. He had too much spirit and they wanted a sad boy that would sacrifice themselves for the cause of the king. Not a bright eyed, driven young teenager that would still sacrifice themselves, but had too big future. “Find another career kid,” The commander had told Thraj.

Thraj had grown up in the slums, and his only dream in the world had been becoming a soldier, but with being told no, he grew angry. He killed the commander, stole his sword, and ran amuck in the small town. He murdered four other people who stood in his way and escaped the clutches of the bounty hunters. His hair grew longer, and his eyes grew brighter, and though his spirit was broken, a new one bloomed, and the evil that had been buried within, found its place.

He had changed quickly, his temper flaring and his sword, named ‘Jackel’, tore through all those who stood in his way. He struck down all who opposed him. And all he wanted to do was to strike down every last corrupt commander that dare say no to those who wanted to join the army. He gathered no friends, he fought alone. Like the true outlaw he was.
