Arend is very strong-willed. Often, his opinions get him into trouble- but he has the confidence and quick thinking to talk himself out of most situations.
Short Story:
In his tree, high up on his mountain, sat his nest. (They were his obviously because he lived there. Anyone else could mind their own business!)
In his nest, Arend sat tall and confident against the gales of wind thrashing against the side of his rocky outcropping. Of course today would be the day that the weather decided to go berserk. He had been planning to go hunting today! Stupid weather.. always ruining everything... With a sigh, he tucked his face into his mass of blanketing leaves- still soft from when he had picked them in the spring-time warmth a few days ago.
The same spring-time warmth that had brought him all these stupid drafts!
Arend groaned into his leaf bed again. He was done waiting around. With a stretch and a leap, he left his nest in search of better shelter.
He would only regret that decision later, after a badger had shown him just how unwilling a lot of his neighboring creatures were to let an arrogant longneck into their homes. He had just received the tongue lashing of a life-time!

Maybe when the nursery opens you and Metatarsals could work out some sort of Longneck pairing..? I have no clue but that was precious
