Prompt 7: The Horse

Good deeds come in all shapes and sizes. It doesn’t take much to cheer someone up, even the smallest of things can show deep gratitude. It doesn’t matter how much a gift cost, or how much effort the deed was, the sincerity of the deed is what truly matters on the inside. That’s why you should treasure every act of kindness that comes your way, cause no matter how big or small it was, it made a positive significance in some form of way.

Pip sprinted down the sidewalk. He was gonna be late for school. He woke up late after staying up last night trying to finish his homework, and now he was late. “I’m so dead” he thought as he whizzed past everything. He saw the entrance of the school just up ahead. He could make it! Just one last spring across the road. He made it to the edge of the road, The light was flashing the seconds as people piled on the road, eager to cross. He looked up at the sign, he had six seconds to cross. Yesss, he would make it. He ran across, he turned his head and saw an elder lady trying to cross. She made it across on the other side but dropped something when crossing. He made a dash back and grabbed the object and ran back to where he started. “Here you dropped this” he panted, tired from running back. He looked up and saw the cars were starting to move again, he would have to wait another cycle before he could cross. “Thank you so much sir, I won’t forget this.” She smiled graciously, hugging the small box tightly. “Yeah no problem”, Pip smiled. At least someone was happy, now he had to worry about getting to school.

Later that day...

He walked back up the neighborhood block to his house, luckily the teacher was late so no one noticed, that was lucky. He saw his mom at the front lawn waving st him as he drew closer to the house. Next to her was an elder lady who looked familiar... thats when it hit him, she was the lady from the street. “Hey!” He replied before heading up. “Pip, this is your grandmother, she has something for you!” And in Pip’s grandmother’s hand, was the small box she dropped on the streets...

Using Kira and Balios

The five eyes of Athena turned away from him and he quickly bounced out the door, tail between his legs. Kira was not even two seconds later as she crashed into him in an embrace.
"Thank you so much back there." She whispered, her body still shaking. He could almost hear the sobs she was suppressing. "I thought she was going to see me." Balios smiled sheepishly, holding her away from him for a second.
"But you've escaped and that's all that matters." The tears finally came as she thought more about it.
"Why does she hate the royals, we haven't done anything to hurt her or offend her, have we? I can speak with my parents and see if we can fix it. I can try and do something." Kira muttered as she turned and began to walk across the cobblestone path. Balios walked beside her, catching her hand in his. He looked into her eyes, the double golden irises staring worriedly at him.
"It isn't something you can fix. She believes she should play the part of God, replacing the royals as leaders of this kingdom. I doubt you would want to die to put someone like her in that position." Kira looked at the ground, silent. They reached a fork in the path, the shining palace gleaming on one end and the end of the stone road into the dirt, slums beyond. Stopping, she finally looked up as she spoke softly.
"Why did she pick you to help her? You don't deserve her torture." He sighed before taking a step off the path.
"She desires the ones who are not strong enough to speak for themselves." She pulled on his arm, urging him to the other path.
“You are strong! I’ve seen it in you! Show her you aren’t as weak as she thinks. You might be free of her!” Kira pleaded, her second pair of eyes peaking open as her first pair went wide.
“I wish I could tell you that I can. I’m a no body with nothing to say. I can’t make a difference in how she sees me.” He shook her off, walking onto the dirt. She stared after him, fingers curled and teeth biting her lip. She couldn’t find the words to say as he left the range of her voice.
“Oh Balios.” With a sigh of defeat she stepped to the soon marbled path to the palace. What would make him change his mind? He was strong in her eyes, fearless, courageous, thoughtful, and kind. She never wanted him to believe otherwise of himself.

Day 7 - Irwin

Alone, on the ground, laid a small bird. It's wing was injured, and it had no ability to fly away. In the dark, it was a sitting duck and just waiting to be eaten by a jungle predator.
Then came along Irwin, a young kalon. His brown fur blended well with the trees, unlike the bird's bright red plumage. He picked the bird up, took it home, and splinted the wing. He helped the bird heal, every day growing stronger. Finally, after weeks of care, he was ready to be released.
With a heavy heart, Irwin released the bird, who flew away slowly. It made a few laps around Irwin's head before flying off, deep into the jungle. Every now and again the bird returns to play with his hero, and get a bit of fruit as well!

Jaime Valentine - Love's Follower

XXXXWaking up she smiled. It was a bright morning and Jaime slipped out of bed. She had dressed warmly for her day out and decided to make breakfast. Going downstairs she went into her kitchen and looked through her cabinets for anything she could make. She found batter and knew immediately what to make. Going to the stove she put out a pan and quickly made blueberry pancakes. Once she finished she bit into a pancake and packed the others away for later. Running out of her home she went straight to the hospital where she had been volunteering for a few months.
XXXXAs she walked through the hallways the familiar scent of disinfectant and iodoform flooded her senses.
She heard multiple cries as she made her runs and she had hoped that she could find that person and make them feel better. But no matter how hard she looked she couldn't seem to get anywhere near the sound. It seemed to echo around the halls and to come from everywhere around her. It made her feel terrible and because of her search for the crying, she had accidentally gotten herself lost.
XXXXShe suddenly looked around in confusion as she had never been in that area before. She had thought that it was a restricted area, but she couldn't find her way back. Then, Jaime heard the sound of crying once again, but it had finally gotten closer. She followed it and found a room that seemed almost forgotten. She knew that it was frequented there, but most likely not any visitors. She quietly knocked and opened the door as the crying quieted a little. In the room, she saw a small kalon kit sitting on the bed with a tear-stained face and staring at her with wide eyes.
XXXX"Who are you? Are you okay?" Jaime had asked the small child as she walked in a bit further. The child only nodded and pointed to his mouth.
XXXX"You are mute?" The child nodded slowly and wiped his face and quickly tilted his head in wonderment. He had obviously never seen another nurse before in maybe his entire life. She quickly grabbed a chair and put it next to the bed. She sat down after she had gotten permission to sit there with the child. She saw a folder and looked at it.
XXXX"William? I like that name. Would you mind me asking why you were crying?" The child looked away as if to say he wouldn't answer, but Jaime wanted to make him feel better. She finally put on a weird face and showed him. Once the child looked at him he burst into laughter and Jaime smiled. She fixed her face and heard a small growl come from the child's stomach.
XXXX"You must be hungry, here." She handed him her leftover blueberry pancakes and smiled as he greedily gobbled them up. She spent most of her day with him that day and many others as well. She loved making him laugh every day and never wanted to hear him cry again.

day 7:


Cocoa had to cheer up Jackson, he just seemed a little sad. so she decided to make some chocolate cake for him! It turned out just as planned and cheered Jackson right up! He loves chocolate, and seems to look like chocolate.
Coincidence? I think not!

Anywho, it took Cocoa many hours to make the perfect chocolate cake, chocolate syrup on top, strawberries on the side, powdered sugar. Everything you could even think of!

When Cocoa surprised Jackson with it his face lit up! As seemingly, everyone had forgotten his birthday, so when Cocoa brought him a cake that she made herself, he felt so happy he couldn't even stop himself from giving and excited yell!

bambi sat next to her boyfriend on the patio, looking at his sorrow expression, and frowned. she wanted to help him, but she didn't really know how to comfort him. she wasn't entirely sure what sparked the sadness he had been feeling the past few hours, and he wasn't as cuddling as he was usually. he didn't seem to notice her sitting there, or if he did, he didn't know any reaction. he seemed lost in his head, and he stared at a chair, not blinking; obviously not focusing. she stood up, and walked into the master kitchen, still in her night gown. she began to bake quickly, trying to quickly whip something up. as she baked, he didn't seem to move much, just raise his glass of water to his lips to drink. after a while of baking, she had been able to make an apple pie for fin. his favorite! she put it into slices, and put one on a plate. she grabbed a whipped cream bottle from the fridge, and brought it over to the patio.

she sat down next to him, and smiled, handing him the pie. he looked at her, surprised, as a smile crept onto his face.

Sausage gets an amazing gift from Devin - a super rare, ancient alien mummy that has been petrified for thousands of years. Sausage has been asking about getting one of these his entire life.
It is truly the ultimate snack.

blythe reaches across the tablet, smiling and patting their friend's arm. "it's okay," they say softly, hoping they sound soothing and calm. they shoot a mean glare across the table at the other young kalon, though; they won't call them out directly, but they make sure the other kal knows that they disapprove. severely.

behavior like that is uncalled for, they think crossly. there's no need to be so rude. they just didn't know what they're doing- just like the rest of us. "ill help you," they say aloud, shooting a dazzling smile at their best friend. "come here! what's your current hp? 30? here, let's adjust that." they reach across the table for the player's handbook. "your hp should be ten plus your constitution modifier, which is +2, so that's-?" they leave the question hanging in the air until the other kalon offers her the tiniest smile and says, "twelve."

"yes! im so proud of you!" blythe says, shifting so that their friend no longer has to look at the perpetrator. blythe doesn't think they did it to be mean, but that wouldn't stop them from protecting their close friend. if they could help them feel even just a tiny bit better, well, that was worth it.

"now, come on, we'll set up your armor class, and..." their words drifted on, teaching their friend about the intricate lore of tabletop roleplaying and all the while trying to block their view and mind from their bully. as they continued to fix the character together, blythe was pleased and proud to say that they had done well, helping their friend to create a character and forget an enemy.
