- Pip held both of his hands to his chest. Each breath he took wasn't rushed, it was calm. Despite that, his heart was beating in an erratic manner. It was threatening to burst out of his chest, to break within the confinement of his ribs and turn the scene into a gorey sight for those unfortunate enough to witness it. His eyes were closed, as though he was deep in thought; it's the complete opposite as he was thinking of nothing. He had cleared his mind, with each controlled breaths through his nostrils, he was trying to trick his own mind. No matter how much he had done this, he couldn't help but feel so nervous.
It felt like it was just yesterday that the winter breeze would make him run for two layers of blankets, but it was already spring and little saplings had already thawed the snow. The clouds were threatening to rain, but he had prepared a small umbrella if the sky decided to cry. He took one last, deep breath, embracing himself for what to come. The nervous Kalon reached for the door bell with his shaky left hand, then withdrawed. He didn't liked the sound those makes, so he opted for the better option. Turning his hand to the backside, he started knocking on the wooden door, twice. That ought to do it. From inside, a cheerful boyish voice shouted in clear british accent. "Coming, love!" He heard rushed footsteps coming from what he thought were upstairs. It got louder as the owner had came closer to the entrance. When the door opened, Pip raised his shoulders and made his best effort to smile without making it look obvious he was on the brink of a heart attack earlier.
That cute smile, those lively green eyes and his bright grin. Pip had seen them countless times but everytime he would, it still would make his heart melt. Ray's blue hair looked like he was just done styling it, but it was nicely done nonetheless. "Oh! Love, you're here early. Let me get my things, yea?" Ray giggled at the end of his words, leaving the door open as he went back inside. Pip nodded to no one, and let his shoulder fell back to their place. He sighed, he wish he could swallow these butterflies. Or was it digest? He can't think right anymore. Suddenly, he felt a wet sensation on his nose. A drop of water. "Damn it-" He cussed to the sky, frowning as he looked up. The sky replied with a straight drop to his eye, he yelped and held a hand to his now not-that-injured-but-still-hurts right eye.
Ray was back in no time, donning a blue denim jacket and his shoulder bag. "Hmm?" He showed confusion to the situation before him, a Pip crying with his right eye with the most hurt face he had ever seen. Then, the rain began to pour. "The bloody British weather for ya." He laughed, patting the back of the taller male, as if consoling him. "Ah, I forgot to buy an umbrella." He frowned, angry at himself for losing the last one. It had such a nice design too. Pip quickly recovered, pulling out his foldable umbrella and quickly opening, albeit clumsily and failing on his first try as it opened upwards, earning a heart chuckle from Ray. "Nice, but does it fit both of us?" He commented, looking up at it. The size could fit one adult at most. Pip went silent for awhile- as usual. Ray didn't mind his best friend's quirk of only speaking at most two words at a time or none at all. It's more fun to figure it out through his body language. Then, the taller of the two took one step forward, too close for comfort, then hugged Ray. The little spoon chuckled, returning the hug as if agreeing with the gesture he's suggesting. "Smooth." They both went to the mall that day, with Pip hugging Ray from the back so neither of them will get wet from the rain.
