How they got their scars: When he was a young colt, all the other young Faes would nip at him and push him around. One day he was pushed off a tall cliff, luckily he didn't break any bones but he did get some permanent scars. After that day he began to hang out with the older Feas, and made best friends with the adults and seniors.
