kalon name: Chronos (kroʊnɒs)

(means 'the sacrifice of time')

'sacrificium autem temporis' is a dangerous and harmful spell that should not he used unless dire need is present. As the wording states this spell sacrifices time in the since of your lifespan. When wondering how or when this could be used it must be understood that there is no way to reverse the effects and that you could overextended the line of time you own. !This would result in death of the caster!
How much life-force is used?
Depending on the severity of the wound/situation the caster finds themselves needing this spell for will effect how much is lost on their part. For instance if someone were bleeding out only the time from beginning the spell to when help arrives would be taken. However more severe wounds could require a backpedal in time to reverse the most fatal areas.
Requirements
No ingredients are needed.
Can be performed with a wand but it is recommended that a higher level wizard or witch perform this spell without one. The spell has had instances where the wand itself backfires or becomes damaged by the spell.
"Chronos you really need to get out more." a voice much too loud for his quite space echoed out over the many books within his study. "I NEED to prepare for the next meeting that begins in the next-" stopping for moment to think "-hour and a half." With a huff he continued back to his readings of the most recent 'Discoveries of Magical Mayhem' in hopes of understanding the most recent debacle the press had grabbed onto.
As of late a few magic folk had begun to vanish. Leaving little to no clues as to where. When checking for magic use it's been found to turn up clean.. even when it has been shown obvious that the taken had put up a fight. The whole thing just didn't make sense to Chronos. Had the attacker used some sort of blocking agent? It couldn't have been a spell or there would have been some trace of it left behind, nor could it have been a potion.
"Maybe it was a talisman of some kind?" the boy from earlier spoke, leaning just a tad over the elders shoulder. With a jerk from the sudden sound Chronos not so subtlety glared slightly at them. "That could indeed be a possibility but in the areas these attacks are taking place things of such are controlled strictly. We've already interviewed those that had any charms no matter the purpose of them." Sighing he realized that they should probably get going if they planned on getting there in a reasonable manner. "Grab your jacket boy we can theorize during the trip."
The air was cold and sharp as always in this country. His breath fogged out in front of him like smoke curling from a dragons maw. Only a few people were out this late and even fewer were going somewhere other than a warm fire heated home. "What about a curse or blessing? Something thats been with them that just blocks everything out and because it wasn't casted at the scene would leave no trace?!" His assistant once again broke the serene silence. However for once it was something that hadn't crossed his mind.
That night Chronos would go and discuss these findings and theories. They would argue and find agreement multiple times before choosing to call the time and end the congregation. Stepping out of the large meeting room he entered the side chamber and entryway of the building. There the assistants and students of the others waited and left with their individual tutor. All but one "Of course he ran off... probably off to see that bakers daughter again."
As time passed Chronos grew more and more impatient at the boy but also a tad worried. Sure he may never learn the gift of the term quiet, but he was a smart kid and was learning quickly under his guidance. Giving him but only a few more minutes the now truly worried elder begun his search. Following the path around the meeting hall the sense of dread grew. Walls covered in old and dead vines surrounded him as the alleyways opened and twisted in the back streats of the town.
Not until reaching a path that angled just right for moonlight to glance off and illuminate a still form was his worries confirmed. Moving quickly he grabbed and turned his for once quite assistant over. There just below his ribcage was a broken and bloody dagger, it's handle gone off to who knows where. Checking for breathing Chronos was relieved to find the boys chest moving, but still shallow and labored. Taking out his wand and casting Sonorous into the air he hoped the sound would carry to someone that could bring help.
Of course he wasn't going to leave him here just to go find someone, and when the boy finally stopped breathing just moments after the spell Chronos acted quickly. Moving his hands to cup the boys face he closed his eyes and concentrated on what exactlly that spell had said "sacrificium autem temporis.." he whispered in a low tone. Grimacing as the pain began but he forced himself to hold still. Feeling your own life drain from you isn't a fun nor exhilarating experience and shouldn't be but it had to be done if this boy was going to survive until help arrived. Time passed quickly for the both of them until finally footfalls could be heard fastly approaching. Untill his assistant was given proper care and would have a strong chance at recovery Chronos didn't let go.
When the questions began of how he kept the boy from dying he replied everytime "I read it in a book."
