Copperstar looked down at the ground before he got up and slowly padded back to the cave's entrance.

Bayclaw nodded "I didn't even think about that.. I wouldn't want to start a fight on accident." she admitted frowning slightly. She looked up surprised her blue eyes widening as she sucked in a quick breath "Rowanflame!" she said lashing her tail slightly as she glanced back at Crowstrike "Are you sure that's a good idea?" she asked. Admittedly, he did have a point. It would draw far less attention.. But what would they do if he didn't come back? How long should they wait before going after him?

I was hoping at the very least we could possibly become friends eventually." she said. That would make it work wouldn't it? That was what many of these were, weren't they? Embergaze didn't know a lot about love, every time she thought she did she got it wrong. But what she assumed was that most mates were just good friends. That seemed to be the nature of the clan at least to her.

Even though he knew his brother didn't have feelings for her he still felt guilty considering she was his assigned mate. "And I admitted it to Brackenfall but he understands.." he said softly.

"So i'm not exactly shocked by this." he seemed to relax slightly, Ravenwind's almost guilty admission resulted in no reaction from Brackenfall, because they'd already discussed this. "But you really gotta let a guy know when you decide to leave so I don't think you're dead next time." he said frowning at her. "I know I sound like mother. So don't remind me." he said glancing away as if he was suddenly embarrassed.

Darkgaze padded out of the warrior's den his yellow gaze moving past Frostpetal for a moment and a look of sympathy crossed his face before he looked away. He understood heartache well. Though it may be in a slightly different way. Darkgaze had, had two cats now that he'd loved and lost. Which seemed to be the reason he never spoke to his assigned mate or anyone really in a more romantic sense.

His gaze pulled away from her to look out over the camp. "Hm.. Theres a couple of the more senior warriors who don't have apprentices." he said. "Is it bad I hope for Hawktalon to get one of them?" he asked laughing slightly as he glanced over at his brother and his assigned mate. "I just want it to be someone we can trust you know? Someone whose a good warrior of course but I also want it to be someone I trust." he said.

Hawktalon snorted slightly as Briarheart joined them though he couldn't mask the happiness that shone in his eyes when she came over. They'd seemingly lost everything and put the pieces back together and it drew him to her more and more every day. He was especially greatful Acornkit seemed to take to her too.

I'm certain Rosethorn, after she gets her name, will chose the mentors carefully. After all, they'll be the first apprentices she'll be naming!" Briareyes shifted around, peering to the clan entrance, aware that Rosethorn had left not too long ago with Timberheart.

Cliffleg shuffled toward the apprentice's den, looking for Slypaw. Her distant daze flickered over each sleeping apprentice before meeting Slypaw's pelt and with no hesitation the shecat jogged over and poked at his side. "Slypaw, we have training to do",she softly shook at the tom's side.

He reflected on his poor ability to focus while hunting and his lack of talent in battling, noticing he wasn't particularly the best at either choice.

Aspensong let out a giggled and started to purr, nudging Brackenfall's side. She didn't say anything about that, just smiled sorrowfully to her siblings, a sign that Nighthawk spoke for both of the pair.

”Crowstrike!” Rowanflame hissed, fixing his friend with a disapproving look. “Get back here, it’s too dangerous.” But even as he spoke the words, the ginger tom knew that it might be necessary for Crowstrike to investingate alone, if they wanted to know anything more about these cats. But it still didn’t change the fact that he hated watching his best friend cross over into unknown territory without backup.

Crowstrike smiled at Rowanflame, the sort of soft smile one would give to a kit behaving unreasonably. “Don’t worry, I’ll be back in no time.” He assured them, moving forward, further into enemy territory. “And if I don’t come back before sundown, then you can come after me, but not a second sooner.” Crowstrike added before disappearing into the underbrush.

Echosong

Echosong stirred, waking up from a peaceful, dreamless sleep. The sounds of camp reached her even in the back of the warrior's den and she knew it was about time to get up and get some work done. She stretched her muscles and shook out her fur before cleaning it thoroughly to get out any remaining pieces of moss that had gotten stuck in her pelt while she slept. When she was all done, Echosong padded out of the den and looked around. She spotted Hawkeye sitting not far away from the fresh-kill pile and decided to go talk to him. Walking over, she said with a smile, "Good morning."

Thistletuft perched on a branch lazily, his hind leg and tail dangling in the air as he gazed below. From his vantage point he could clearly see the camp entrance and the chocolate colored tom watched with a disinterested look as cats entered and left the camp.

Sandcloud padded out of the den, stretching in the sun. She then shook out her cream pelt and smoothed it back down with a few quick licks. All done, the warrior looked around herself for something to do or someone to talk to.

Wolfheart

Wolfheart crept through the undergrowth, his steps silent despite the many crunchy leaves and small sticks underfoot. He kept his gaze pinned solely on his prey, a plump squirrel he was stalking. The creature was sitting at the roots of a tree, contently chewing on a nut of some sort. When he was close enough, Wolfheart leapt forward, landing squarely on the fluffy creature. Pinning it with his claws he killed it with a swift bite to the neck.

Looking embarrassed for a brief moment, she thought to herself, Sage...what's the worst that could happen, you got this. Letting out a sigh, she told Max, "Alright, I'm ready!" She waited for him to climb the tree, she then positioned herself into a hunter's crouch.

Duskclan

He rolled backwards into the dirt landing with an ooof.Mountainstripe shrugged.”Well I could be better. Maybe if I wasn’t so bored?” Mountainstripe laughed sitting up. He put is paw on her neck and swiped. A bug landed on the floor. He slipped it onto his paw and tipped it onto a leaf. He then pressed his face up against the leaf. Mountainstripe watched as it turned to face him. He sprang back as the big jumped into his nose. He fell backwards landing on top of Berrystorm.

Dawnclan

Gingerface padded out through the trees. She passed Foxpaw, Lionfang and Marblepaw on her way out. She nodded to the. She bounded over a log and into the darker woods. As she padded a long, Gingerface caught a deathly sent.Crowfood? she thought. She followed the smell and cane across a dead cat.”Uh, are you alright? Can you hear me? Are you dead?” She pressed her paw to its neck. No pulse. She opened her eyelid, but it was glassy and non-seeing.

Foxpaw raced up behind them. His forced his legs to work. He wanted to make his chance to have an impression a good one.He shoves his feet into the dirt slowing himself down.”So uh, where are we hunting?” Foxpaw panted. His eyes shone brighter then they had before and his feet kneaded the ground. He wanted to run and to never stop. Honestly he had never left the camp.

Bayclaw pinned her ears as she watched him disappear. Glancing over at Rowanflame she frowned "If he gets back we are not telling Rosethorn and Embergaze that we let him wander into unknown territory by himself." she said. She paused "If.. he doesn't come back.. Should we go after him ourselves? Or get a bigger patrol?" she asked a nervous tone evident in her voice.

And they didn't appear to be, everyone was doing their own thing by now.

Embergaze laughed nervously "I promise not to send you on extra patrols if you make me mad." she said attempting to lighten the mood. She paused for a moment "Assignments are.. always pretty awkward.. I didn't expect you either I thought maybe.. someone I was friends with already but.. I was hoping at the very least we could possibly become friends eventually." she said. That would make it work wouldn't it? That was what many of these were, weren't they? Embergaze didn't know a lot about love, every time she thought she did she got it wrong. But what she assumed was that most mates were just good friends. That seemed to be the nature of the clan at least to her.

Though it may be in a slightly different way. Darkgaze had, had two cats now that he'd loved and lost. Which seemed to be the reason he never spoke to his assigned mate or anyone really in a more romantic sense.

She would miss Wolfstar deeply but she was glad to see the clan continue to grow easily without him. "Do you want me to accompany you back to camp? If not i'll go out searching for herbs. I haven't been able to go out for a while with Wolfstar so sick." she said softly.
