Felix's breath was heavy as he approached the mouth of the cave that stood gaping wide, daring those who have the guts, to enter.
It was the place he had built up the courage to finally face. His long journey had come to an end, a feeling of dread fell over him. Felix would not let that falter him, despite his trepidation about it all. He gripped the sword in its sheath tighter.
This was the end.
It all started when someone asked for his help. He couldn't refuse; Felix could never back down from a fight. Only a coward would say no to someone who desperately needed his aid.
Taking a deep breath, he grabbed his iron great sword from its sheath and pulled it out, readying himself for the foul beast that awaited him within the cave. He made sure his bow and arrows were ready to be used in case of emergency. Felix attempted to correct his breathing, if he couldn't finish the deed, it'd be the end of him. No turning back now.
This fight would determine his fate. Whether he live, or died. If the village would be able to no longer live in fear of the unknown.
In the distance of the cave, he saw a pile of gold. Sprinting over to the shining pile of fortune, he hid behind a large rock, eyeing his surroundings to make sure his enemy had not spotted him. Peering from behind the rock, he spotted his foe.
A large dragon with scales as black as night. It lay slumbering upon the pile of gold, content with life.
This dragon was no ordinary dragon, no. It was Cassius; the most feared Wyvern in the entire kingdom. Wyverns being the most fearsome dragon breed out there, nowhere near as bad as the Western dragons in the west provinces. It was as if the Devil himself created them for destruction and greed.
Tiptoeing out from his hiding spot, Felix readied his sword and leaped onto Cassius, driving his sword into the neck of the beast.
Cassius jolted awake, letting out an ear piercing roar in animosity, attempting to fling whoever was on his neck off by vigorously shaking his head. Clinging on tight, Felix struggled to strike the beast once more. He failed and got flung off, hitting the wall of the cave. He could feel his vitality draining from that hit.
"Who dare interrupt my slumber? Show yourself!" Cassius roared, his voice deep and animalistic.
Struggling to his feet, Felix put his sword into its sheath and grabbed his bow and an arrow, shooting at the Cassius.
"Tis I! The great Felix! I have come to destroy you and take your gold back to the King, where it rightfully belongs."
Cassius let out a growl and lunged towards Felix, coins of gold flying everywhere. Felix continued to shoot arrows at Cassius, hardly inflicting any damage to him.
Grabbing Felix in his toothy maw, he shook Felix.
"N-No!" He manage to exclaim, before his vision growing black.

"No!!" Felix yelled, flinging the controller of the gaming console at the wall.
"What's the matter, honey?" Felix's mom asked, peeking her head into the living room from the kitchen.
"I died. Again." He pouted, running his fingers through his hair.
"Well, maybe you should take a break and then next time you'll beat the big ol' dragon, okay?" His mom told him.
"Alright. . ." Felix muttered, standing up.
The Village of Evermore will be avenged from Cassius! He will win the fight!
. . .
After dinner, that is.
